; Script Name:  HotKeyBar (Almost) for Freeshards.
; Author: Mythix
; Version: 1.0
; Shard OSI / FS: FS only

; Purpose: Utilize a menu to access most frequently used skills for easy access.
; Globals: none
; Special Thanks: Thanks to Talon Rhein whose script "Magery Casting Menu" was the inspiration for this.

I've created a short script that creates a menu for the most commonly used skills/spells for use mainly on freeshards that have no skill caps.
Appreciate any feedback you can give me!

Been using this with a few tweaks for my freeshard that I'm playing on, and it's working great!

Even though s7's script changes gump sizes for freeshards, there's still a few tweaks needed to use this on freeshards.
In s7's script, in the makeanything sub, you have to change the category click offset from 70 to 50 and then it will make everything correctly.  I also put in an additional waitsysvars for the craft gump after the "make last" function and in a few other places in case I'm lagging.

In your script, I had to manually change the gumps and the maketools sub to match the cat/sel for how my shard has the crafting set up.  Also had to add KTL as the tinker tool to your script as that is the finditem id for tinker tools on my shard.  And TLH is the smith hammer that I added in, too.
Once I got that all figured out, it works like a charm!  Hope this helps anyone else who is trying to get it to work on freeshards!  I realize you don't support freeshards, so I just thought I'd throw that out there in case some one needs it.  :)

Oh, one more thing.  You should really put a warning in there that you should start with nothing in your backpack that you don't want thrown away.  Good thing I read through the scripts before I run them! teehee

10s all around.

Crafting / Re: MeWon's Smith BOD Sorter-er

Works great.  I did have the problem of it not dropping bods out of the book at times, and the script prematurely stopping, but other than that, works fine!
I really like your method of organizing the bods by assigning numbers.  It made it easy for me to adapt the script to how I wanted them organized.  I only have 3 books: Trash, Keepers, Recycle.  I then export the Keepers to an outside program which gives me a nice overview of the bods I have and how close I am to getting the needed sbods for the lbods I want to fill.
Keep up the great work!!!

I've used your script to create a sorting method for tailor bods and for taming bods.  While there are many tailor sorters out there, not many are as easy to customize as this one for the novice scripter.  Also, I don't believe I've seen a taming sorter out there that will sort from a bod book to other books.

I'm not sure if I can post the changes here or not.  If a moderator says it's ok for me to do so, and if there's any interest, then I will gladly post my changes to make this script usable with tailor and taming bods.
Cheers!

New member introductions / Back to UO Again...and again...

Hi everyone!

UO was my first MMO (like many of you I'm sure) and I keep coming back to it, no matter how hard I swear that I am done.  Nothing seems to capture the same adventuring excitement that UO brings.  I played OSI off and on for about 4 years, then went to a Freeshard where I played for almost 2 years.  After leaving and playing many other games, most recently Istaria, Minecraft, Dwarf Fortress, UnrealWorld, Terraria, Wurm Online, I just keep thinking about UO.  It's nice to see that there are finally a few MMOs in development that are trying to be like UO which I will most happily try when they release.  First Earth is one I'm keeping an eye on.  In the meantime, I'm starting up playing on another freeshard.

In the past, I enjoyed using EasyUO and learning about coding through playing with the scripts on there.  I've never been a heavy script user, but certainly playing around with the scripts has given me lots of joy over the years.  I completely respect the hard work people have put into scripts and have been so grateful over the years to be able to use what people have so graciously given.  It never ceases to amaze me what people can do with scripts!  I hope to be able to contribute something to the scripting community myself one day.  (as long as Cheffe doesn't make us go to Lua anytime soon!  :'( )

Thanks for reading!
