Expansion Tiles show as "Unused Tiles" only when using steam!

Since the launch of the Time of Legends Expansion. I cannot see any of the new tiles while using steam. The trade window doesn't show in addition to a couple of other various things.

I can open the Ultima Online client without steam and see everything just fine. I am using Windows 8.1. My client is current on both steam and ultima online.

Can anyone help me with this? I have heard of a couple others having the same issues. I'll put some screenshots below.

I searched for a fix for this and couldn't find anything, I currently know several other players with this problem.

The developers of Steam shut it down a couple of years ago so it probably cannot read the new stuff. Unless they come back or turn over the code to someone else it most likely will never work for new stuff and will eventually just break.

Thank you for your response.

The issue is that only a small % of players are having this issue, not everyone. Therefore, It can work, I was just hoping that someone would know why I am a victim to this problem and/or what causes this to happen.

Gimlet uses Steam a lot so maybe he will have some insight on the problem.

If you know someone that steam work maybe you can get a copy of his mule file or re-install the mul file.

Steam is working perfect for me with all the new stuff. I use win 7 and 10

Does UOSteam requires MULFiles? if yes you may need to update them as well

Steam don't need any update of MUL,  maybe for targettile macro's ??

Btw, i recommand you to perform a clean reinstallation of UO and UOSteam, don't forget to Back up profiles & macro.
Use the link from http://uosteam.28394.n7.nabble.com/ it's the last working one.
Don't forget to  your UOS.exe has administrator permissions,
otherwise it will wont be able to load and modify profiles and launcher data.

For me everything is working except that Healthbar bug.

If you're using a modded client, aka modded muls for stumphack etc... It needs to be updated with the new muls.

I do have a modified client, but I also found a fix for this issue. It's not the best fix but it works non the less.

The first thing you need to do is open uo without steam and log into whatever char you wish.

Then open uo with steam (don't log out of the normal uo client) and log back into the same account forcing your normal uo client to lose conn. The steam client that you just opened will have all the mul files at this point and you can close the regular uo client.

You will have to do this for each account your going to play with. Once you have done it just close the normal uo client.

Also every time you close the client with steam you will need to redo this process. You can log in and out as much as you wish, just cant exit the program.
