I don't have a reference for you, but I'm confident I've read dev notes or Q&A responses confirming that luck has no impact.

Well, I have a luck suit on now that's 1217 and in the first 5 minutes, I got 2 crystal shards.  It easily took a couple hours without it.  Might just be something to it.

I recall reading somewhere that the crystal shards and crystalline blackrock drops are not effected by luck.

Yep, heard that too, but it is making a difference.  I had to start all over again because of 2 dangerous rune markings, but aside from that, a luck suit is bringing them in faster.

I would say a test is in order. Do a run of lumberjacking with luck say 2 days of 8 hours and then 2 day without of 8 hours each and compare the results?

Like Masscre suggested, I think a rather long testing run is in order.

RNG can really mess up statistics for shorter sessions...

RNG makes testing very difficult and hard to get a exact idea of what you showing.

Unless you run 10 Clients for 100+ hours at it. Then you Get a Pretty close look at the RNG of anything in the game.

Well, I did about 6 hours wearing a luck suit and 6 hours without.  It seems random, but I got a lot of wood!
