I TiVoed it, but haven't watched it yet.  Good to hear that it was OK.  Been sick this week, so I sleep more than anything.

I watched it last night and enjoyed it.  They did good at setting the ground work and brought in several different areas to the story line.

After more people watch it I'll start in with some theories.

#1 - NOT A SPOILER if you know anything about the series:

Spoiler: show
Who says it's not the same timeline? heh

Tagged it anyways.

I thought the same thing becuase the quote came out !!!

"He who controls the past controls the future !!"

So far I am liking the story line. The actors seem to be above par and the animation is top notch and with spielberg in the seat it should not get canceled for some time.

Agreed.  I felt like there were a couple of over-acted scenes, but in general very well cast, well done and impressive animation for a series -- well for a feature film even.  The story-line makes me think that I think I have read something very similar at some point, although the Wikipedia page suggests that it is original material.

I added it to the DVR list.

I think its the same time line also (wonders if they can go back to the future!)

Not without a Flux Capacitor!

They claim it is a one way trip.  Because it is not a real time machine but just a time rift and the rift is only open at one end.

Responding without reading the rest of the thread, because I don't want to spoiler myself...

Watched the first 20 mins of the pilot and I am hooked.  If these darn kids would only go to bed so I can finish!  Darn cute little ankle biters, anyway...

I see one of the executive producers is from Battlestar Galactica.  That explains the CGI.  lol

Ok.. So I missed the first hour. damnit! I watched the last half I'm 50/50 on it since I missed the beginning action looks great kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.  I just hope this isn't going to be another LOST Television show..

If you can catch the first half it would help a great deal.  That was one thing I really liked was that they really took the time to lay down the background for the show.

My earlier post has link to where you can watch the whole episode or fast forward and just watch what you missed.

I really hope the show stays centered around the cop and the mysterious backstory/politics...NOT the stupid teen angst.

Also - how stupid are these dinosaurs?  They can slice up an armored vehicle built with 2145's technology, but they can't eat that chick or bite through that kid's leg?

LMAO !!  I was thinking the same thing. They can cut you in half by just farting but can not kill a chick running in the jungle for real !!

Well, they all seem to be bullet proof :(

I hate that. Future bullets can't penetrate ancient lizards.

They have really small brains and just dont realize they are dead!

recently watched and got caught up on this show and even though I am enjoying it I am finding the episode story lines a little weak....  especially compared to the most obvious comparison Lost or even Stargate universe.  But its entertaining enough and can watch it with the kids as well,  waiting to see how the master story line develops.

The writing isn't very good. The last episode had some holes and the ending was completely out of place.

Spoiler: show
So this dude killed the professor and stole his identity. Then he's going to kill this girl to keep that stuff covered up. Daddy comes along and saves the day. So why did they end the show with the scene showing the apples that the guy saved by finding the fungus eating beetle?

Completely the wrong message to send. Actually I don't get what message they were trying to send... It's ok to murder someone and steal their life as long as you do something good with it? And what happened to the dude? They banished that other guy for murder, shouldn't this guy get banished?

It is fun to watch with my son. The stories are pretty good stand alone shows, and the "carried plot" seems to be pretty interesting. Wonder if it will see season 2?

I like the execution of the effects, the actors and the larger story-line, but I have to agree that the sub-stories and some of the dialogue are weak.  Its like they just don't have the right team writing the episodes.

Game over man....

Not renewed.

I'm not surprised.  I couldn't get into it.  I think I only watched 1.5 episodes.

Yep.  Same.  It had such potential, but then devolved in the typical monster- or unsolvable-problem-miraculousl-solved-of-the-week, a la Stargate, etc etc.  Been there, done that.

Still has potential I think. I heard they're shopping it to other cable networks. So who knows, maybe Syfy or someone will pick it up.

Was really annoyed - it got good ratings and was a well done show, good story line, left us at a cliffhanger with nothing to close it off and they kill the series. I do hope another network picks it up and leaves everyone as is. Producers actors etc.

I loved this show! But, since I was living away from TT due to rotations, we DVRd the episodes and watched them over the weekend. I just saw this thread, and now I'm crushed they aren't going to renew it.  :'(  I only get so much time for TV these days.

Me and my children enjoyed the series. yes it was kind of a repetitive plot but was something me and the children could watch that was not laden with sex and other things shows are full of these days.  I hate that it has been canceled.

Probably would not have been cancelled if it had more sex and other things in it...

Ow man another good show bites the dust.... so sad...   this and stargate universe... disappointments.

StarGate universe had so much potential but the writers i believe let it die !!
