Just watched ep. #10....   Good stuff!   Going to be a long wait for the next season though.   At least the next book comes out this summer I hear..   "Dance with Dragons' Bk 4  July 2011...   Woot!

I'm about done with the whole thing... I read the wiki for the next book and it's more of the same.

Interesting well liked character - plot - dead.

I'll dvr them and watch them, but not really all that interested.

Two of the cooler characters are dead (Eddard Stark & Khal Drogo aka Ronon Dex from Stargate: Atlantis), but the show is still a fun watch, and has a lot of interesting characters left.

Ten episodes, and then almost a year off is too small a sampling imo.

I'm only two books into the series...  the 3rd i am reading...  i own 4.. can't wait for 5.  I loved the HBO series. They did a couple things out of order from the book. But great in keeping with the line and how things went. Helped put some things in perspective for me from the books. 

Favorite chars in book: Arya, Jon, Sansa (eddard for how long it lasted), Dany (but i'm also a fan because i love the Targaryens :) )

I have Showtime because I love Dexter, Californication, and Shameless.  The guys at work keep talkng about Game of Thrones and raving about it.  I just might have to check it out.  How far into the season is it?  Is this the first season?

For months, friends of mine told me that I have to watch the 'Game of Thrones' on HBO, so finally last week I pulled up HBO on Demand and started watching it from the first episode.  All I can say now is WOW...what a great series!  I am shocked at how the plot just pulled you into the story and how you were rooting for certain characters and booing the others.  This is a classic Good vs. Evil tale.  So far, it looks like Evil is winning...

I agree -- why do we have to wait so long 'til Season 2???
