UOSteam / Re: Lifebars not updating
« on: February 11, 2020, 01:41:14 PM »
It's been a common problem for UOSteam on OSI servers for years now. It happens when you cross serverlines or dungeons. Life bar names will change to some random pet in your stable or a random party member or random person you've last seen. And health bar itself often doesn't update. It's actually an Enhanced Client bug that is for some reason persistent with UOSteam, probs because of whatever packets they're using to handle mobiles.

Solution: Use Razor Enhanced.

For skill training, a pack horse/llama works fine. You can set a house to public and train inside of it. And if you're already planning on using a chr to "trade off" with then all you need to do is use that same chr to stock the packhorse. Have trained multiple EJ accounts this way via packies at banks and in public houses.

RE's main dev, Alexdan, has been mia for quite a long time now (about 8 months? i think). It's def. not a dead project (less so than steam/auo) but it's certainly going in a not great direction ;(

the RE project has a discord however.  https://discord.gg/69qGyev

Then there's this type of stuff coming from japan....

That's some next level heavy chest movement  :o

Just wanted to point out that this video is recorded on a freeserver. Most free servers have very unrestricted object handle delay timers, meaning for example you can hold last object for 5 seconds and burn through 100 kindling... or say dismount, shadow strike your mount, remount instantly and it just looks like you hid. Even more so you could use a steam macro to leapfrog items like this in combination with freeserver delays, so it might not be EUO.

Just go to Jhelom bull pens. Equip a two-hand weapon that you have no skill with. Attack all of the chickens, sheep, goats etc (Small animals) until you are being attacked from every melee tile around your character.

Wear HPR or use the Bushido confidence spell. Usually takes 2 alacrities to go from 40 to 120.

Pretty true.

I don't have any desire to play with anyone else in EVE than the people I've played with for a long time. We've gone from Black Legion to Pandemic Legion, granted I've since gone inactive and removed myself form the corp for inactivity, I have a home that I can go back to anytime I get back into the game.

I don't really use EUO much at all anymore outside of a few rare things I do non-regularly. However I do have friends who still live and breath EUO and I can throw this at them. Just curious though what are these interesting changes? I only ask because I cant remember my password there and I'm too lazy to reset it... again... Okay again again.

anything will help dx.

But... what are the changes he's doing? >_>

Chances are since it was last updated (2013) There have been new additions to the tailoring gumps and this script wouldn't be updated for them.

I am going to necro this one, anyone currently playing Eve?

Coombs probably still plays. I've been on break for quite awhile though with a lack of time to play these days.

You have to take into account that the Z-Axis are considered tiles that affect the viewing distance.

Best way to see this is the build up a tower of goza mats. Another way to explain it is that, you cannot place something a tile infront of you, if where it would land is 50+ tiles below and above you. The higher you increase your Z-Axis, the less of the surroundings you will see that are at lower Z-Axis...

Also the resolution changes created an issue that that has yet to be, and more than likely never will be addressed with the classic client,  which is that the classic client now has much more data to parse to and from the server as not only does the classic client technically have to send data about the increase of terrain, items, players, etc it sees, but it also has to accept more data from the server about what others can also see that that they can accurately be drawn on our clients as well. The servers with the previous allowed viewable distances were optimized around the classic client being able to function smoothly and thus where they were previously was the drawing range min/max for the client to not get bogged down. Bleak did not take the into consideration however when updating the viewing distances. And yes people have always been able to increase their resolutions however your client was actually only able to draw/see so far as allowed by the server.

I've been saying it for years now, the classic client needs to be better able to parse data. It doesn't need new art, resolutions, or any of that garbage... What it needs is to not get bogged down just because it's attempting to draw four in-flight afk gargoyles.
