Wasn't sure where to put this. But now that I FINALLY have Google Fiber installed, I thought I would share...

By the time Google Fiber gets to San Diego, I think pink unicorns will erupt from my butt and frolic about.  By that time my Cox cable bill will be $500/mo.

I already dumped all my premium channels and larger tier channel selection to drop my bill from $230 to $150 (including mid-level internet).  I remember when I was getting everything for around $100/mo.  Of all my utility bills, the cable bill has been the one that's out of control.

$70 for gigabit internet
$120 for internet plus HDTV
or
If you live in an apartment complex and it's installed, you get free internet up to 15mb/s. If you live in a house you pay $300 for installation, then get "free" 15mb/s internet for 10 years.

The only negative with the TV is that they don't have a deal with AMC. So when I watch Walking Dead or something else I have to download it.

Man, I hope Google puts these damn Cable companies out of business.  With those prices, there may finally be some competition.
