Title: Farming Blackthorn Castle
Post by: bodfather on November 23, 2013, 05:38:25 AM
There's a little fuss on stratics about the gold elementals that are spawning in the new dungeon. There's 2 in a room complete with a forge with an almost instant respawn. They also drop crystalline blackrock as well.

I am not interested in this but this is a great opportunity for someone on a deadish shard to farm gold ingots (currenty 90mil per 60k on Atl). It was posted one person was getting 14k gold ingots per hour.

Get it while it's hot. http://stratics.com/community/threads/do-you-hear-that-loud-whistling-sound.307808/

"Oh noes!" cried all the statics scripters.  "Now anyone can get important resources without grinding."

Yep, did my share. Got bored and stopped. Drops a crystalline about ever 3-5 elementals and they go down quite easily.

I do believe that they've changed the drop rate for CB on the gold elems.  I spent 3 hours last night and must have killed at least a hundred - got 4 CB's.

They just recently changed the drop rate of CB's on all shards. In the beginning I was getting crap loads now it has been reduced alot.

Yea, for the life of me I can't understand what made them change the drop rate.  It's easily the most difficult imbuing resource to obtain.  They should have left it as is so we can finally NOT have to farm hours on end for so few....  Sometimes they really piss me off...

It cracks me up how ridiculously difficult some items are to get manually in this game. It's like the devs are all sitting around trying to think of ways to make people have to script in order to play at all.

I had a friend a while back who refused to script, he got all of his library glasses, obtained mining and lumberjack resources, trained, etc all by hand. I don't think he even knew how to simplify things more with UOA. Some people are beyond my comprehension.

TM would be great, get one and make a small video of you sitting at a desk.  And just say the following...

"So you want to get Elite status?" *Rips down velcro* *Rub*

Then when people ask about Elite you can just link to that video :p

Below is a post of mine over on Stratics UHall:  http://stratics.com/community/threads/small-improvements-youd-like-to-see-in-classic-client.308563/ (http://stratics.com/community/threads/small-improvements-youd-like-to-see-in-classic-client.308563/) post 42

I have a 2nd pet peeve that goes along with my 1st (post 21 above). And yes, I know that I have a lot of beds and plants, but a lot of people do. And even if you only do a dozen plants at a time, it's still the mindless mouse clicking and the time involved that's very, very annoying. This is the kind of thing that keeps the 3rd party (illegal) apps alive... Kindly see my pic below:
