So, what do you do with blackrock when scripting mining?
Most scripts put it into a separate secure container, but that only holds 125.
Seems like a much better method would be to drop it at the mining site.... but I'm pretty sure blackrock doesn't decay.... so it'd be really easy to find miners. Just look for the piles of blackrock and you found one.
A mini-rail when dumping ore? Have a trash (at bank or house) and rail in to dump ore and blackrock?

I have always had the BR go into a seperate container inside the container where I am dropping my ore...I also have my trash barrell on the steps next to my ore container...then each morning when I relog on after the server downtime I just trash the container with BR in it and replace a new empty container. I have never had more then 40 or so BR after mining for 23.15 hours, so I have never run out of room.

As soon as I get off my lazy @ss and make it know the diff between blackrock and diamonds, then you can just target the trash as your blackrock secure.

Where were you mining? I get like .7 per hour unless I house mine.

Recall mining all over the place... Seems like I got a lot less blackrock before, maybe they turned up the spawn rate to inconvenience script miners....

There was a note in the patch, I wish they would just turn it off.

That's why I'm seeing the increase. Good catch MW. Looks like a good time to revamp the mining scripts to account for the increase in blackrock.

That's exactly what I was going to point out Mass, my miner let's you pick a different Blackrock container, just select a garbage can next to your "dump" bag.

When I read they were going to change the drop rate of blackrock I automatically assumed they would be decreasing it. What's the logic behind increasing the drop rate on an item that has no use? An Anti-Scripting measure?
Does this mean when mining in Ter Mur the chance for getting Crystalline Blackrock is now higher as well?
I haven't been mining lately so I haven't seen the changes first hand.
Suprising really and a bit weird on their part.

I agree - it might become useful soon. I wonder if they will let it decay?
I have 3 or 4k of it on my store house floor - any monster walking by became infected - I wonder if that still happens?

That is what they have planned is us scripters will place enough of this stuff around our homes. One day they will mkae it unstable and movement will make it blow all scripter houses up :)

Ok, so I put my trash barrel on the steps of my castle so I can dump blackrock into it. When I click on it again I get a message stating "That is no longer a trash barrel" and it's labeled as "barrel". I can't release it cause it says it's not in my house.
I destroy it with an axe and try to place a trash barrel back inside my castle and now I get "you already have a placed trash barrel".

Your's sounds really messed up cerveza. Here is what I did. I stood my main on the steps of my castle and said I wish to place a trash barrel. It then placed one. I checked to destroy it to see where you where having a problem. I stood on the steps again not in the grass and wacked it with an axe and viola it is gone and then placed it again. I dont know if you see your error in that anywhere or your toon is just bugged?

I'm hoping that server up fixes my issue.
1 - I wish to place a trash barrel , on my steps
2 - It doesn't show up when I step off and back onto the steps
3 - I use ctrl+shft to see it, and I click on it that way
4 - I get the message "That is no longer a trash barrel"
5 - I can't release this barrel, I have to axe it
6 - It's gone and now I get the "you already have a trash barrel" message whenever I try to place one
We'll see after server up. I bet this is their way of eliminating trash on steps.
Blackrock spawn is way UP... getting more blackrock then gems combined. Actually like 3-4 times as much.

I'm sure a GM can come fix your trash problem Cervesa. Though I'm pretty confident that you are like me, and don't want a GM anywhere near your place. :D
I should really start playing Origin a little again. Would be nice to see how some of these changes will be implemented. Have you taken a stroll by Vesper yet to see the invasion there?? I sure as heck don't need anymore blackrock, but wonder if it will have any uses in this bane invasion arc. Would be awesome to finally sell some more of it again..

I just stumbled upon a thread on stratics regarding things disappearing when placed on steps on Origin. Not sure it it's relevant to the issue you're having, but looks like there have been a few issues of this happening. One of the posts mentioned that you might want to check your moving crate? Could be why the system still thinks that you have a trash barrel. Just a thought.

And how do you access this mythical moving crate in castles?
I checked, "You already have a trash barrel!" is still the message, yet I have none. I'll call a GM later on when I have a few hours to spare...

Under customize - relocate moving crate

It's under Customize...the third option is "Relocate Moving Crate"...just stand anywhere inside the castle and it will appear as it would in a normal house. You can also check under storage to see if it shows any items in the moving crate, as that would also be a good indicator that something is in there that shouldn't be...

Also, if there is nothing in the crate, it doesn't show as a selectable option in the menu. Simply a grayed out option.

That's what I'm doing now. I'm sure this is the best way to remove it. :)

I've adjusted mine to dump in a bank trash container after blackrock quantity is > X. It's been running quite some time now w/o troubles from other players. I alternate the banks that actually have the trash containers on my shard.
