Ok - started to accept "doesn't work well w/ T-chests "

But then I got to thinking....

The script already checks for spellcasting/cursor/invis inbetween every drag of item (or is constantly being checked before anything is happening)

Why can't a spawn check be added in that same loop.  So if spawn w/ in 4 tiles - stop looting until gone - then continue, just like when invis is off. No need to restart script.

Only other issue would be when the chests locks up items.  Instead of ignoring items that can't be drug after a few attempts - have it start a timed wait before trying to drag again - maybe w/ a system msg - so you move around the chest.

Not suggesting at all that this script needs these updates for everyone.  But is there any help out there for me trying to add these "features" myself.

would give me a chance to learn a little more scripting while making something useful for myself.

Looting T-chests w/ out an evaluater/looter is just nuts, -its 85+ items in some cases.

1. check spawn within 4 tiles - pause/wait if spawn near without need to restart script (referring to already looted chest/body - not the opening of corpses.) Must ignore myself and pet for spawn check.(i think standstill sub is where results of spawn check would go)

2. Continue when spawn dead (what happens if i had to move, chest is closed and i'm not in range)
3. Wait when items can not be dragged
4. Continue after a fixed amount of time (enough to move to other side of chest)
5. Add another wait if items still can not be dragged (incase didnt move around chest to right area)
6. Continue after time passed.
7. Be fancy - add a Tchest button to menu - so these "features" are turned on and off as needed - w/ my skills probably easier to just have 2 copies of script for different uses.

How does using other scripts as a source work in regards to copy right here.

Can I cut snippets and paste here, with a little editing and help from community in piecing it together. Or is that stealing peoples work (because i post it publicly mainly)

If this is acceptable - I need to move this post to scripting help forum?

Food for thought - thanks for your time.

This script is great, I swear I think I had a light version of it years ago -

65 pages is a lot to browse through(i skimmed 10 pages or so), and nothing turned up in search so:

Using this for treasure chests -  Whats my best option here?

Monsters spawn on random looted item - and also lock the chests so no more items can be looted.

Issue - I die to spawn(i can cast spell to pause script but...script restarts after 1 spell is cast or i'm not invisible - need to kill monster), or put items on ignore because they can't be dragged. (i think this is happening)

The pause feature seems to want to finish the current loot list before pausing -

Do I need to call claw from another script w/ maybe a 1 at a time looter if thats even possible?

Perhaps I'm missing something w/ Claw - the preview feature is: ?  Don't see it in the docs anywhere - probably in pages 10-45 lol

I can pause EASYUO from menu, maybe thats the best way? How to shortcut a key to pause it if possible?

Tips,ideas,instructions appreciated

Ty for help.

Games & Game Systems / Re: League of Legends

Its a pretty cool game.  I've been lucky enough to make some ingame friends who have guided me along the way.

There is such a huge differnce in player levels via the ranking system.  I'll partner up w/ some high rank folks and just get destroyed.

I'm getting too old to compete against 14 year olds when coordination is concerned.

Did you see the HBO documentary they did on League/professional gaming - kinda neat if you're truly a geek.

These are top notch cinnamon rolls. Follow the directions to a T and don't cut corners.

Posting a link, because it has several photos to go along w/ recipe.

I've got a couple loot questions that I've been meaning to ask.

I can't test out settings right now, but maybe I can get an answer for after patch.

2 things I want to loot -

How do I setup to ignore 50 stone items?
I want to loot all artifacts (easy setup -got this)  but... I want to ignore 50 stone artifacts.

20 Skill items -  Pretty sure these exist rarely..

I see how to setup a particular skill for a certain range, but how do I set all rings/bracelets of any skill

Do i have to make variable for every single skill w/ +20 on it? must be a way to do anyskill +20

Computer Rigs / Re: This is what I got

The problem I always have w/ building my own budget system is the Case/powersupply/operating system.

These eat up such a huge chunk if you have to buy them seperate that production systems make it tough to "out build" them.

You start reading about budget cases on toms hardware and they are recommending 35.00 cases that are all plastic.....ya right.

Then if you want a good power supply fork out 100.00 bucks

Same for your OS often they are close to 100.00 bucks

So ya - for 450.00 I wouldn't want to spend hours searching for better yet cheaper components unless I was really enjoying building the system.

Games & Game Systems / Asheron's Call
« on: February 05, 2015, 09:09:47 AM »
As I look at a long list of old games and even older posts I can't help but think of a few I played years ago.

Asheron's call would have been my 3rd MMO

UO, Everquest, AC

It was never a hugely popular game, but it was unique in many ways.

I bounced back and forth to this game as I got bored w/ others.  One of the original problems I had was bad character creation.  I didnt have a way to teleport early on.  This was a huge problem and ruined my original character.  As the leveling was slow at the start this caused me to lose interest and pick up one of my other games.

Giving it another shot w/ some friends I tried it out again.  Enjoying the monthly updates - It had more free content than any game I know.  There was a  story line worth diving into for free - every month.  This went on from 1999 until 2014 I believe.  However, dated graphics and a mostly solo appeal w/ endless level caps - I lost interest again.

Then for some reason my brother and I tried it one last time - This was my best experience in Asheron's Call.  Darktide pvp server - Right from early levels your fighting for your life and items.

Its like original UO when u die you lose your items - There was a catch though - you lost a % of items, w/ the largest values first.  Every item had a gold value. So if you had 20 items, you might lose 4 w/ the highest value ones always dropping.  So you could collect high value worthless, and light weight items to protect your valued items.

The best part of the pvp was the fight for territory - It truly had epic battles.  Not just to "hey come to yew gate lets pvp" but  Lets control this dungeon take all the xp and loot 24/7 for months - and defend it the best we can.

The guilds/ patron system worked great.  One of the largest guilds on Darktide was founded by some UO players from Chesapeake - The UO server I started on.  Just up from my house was a band of guys called the bannana boys -  Mostly a prime time group gather around to 10 on 1 noobs as they came into dungeon zones and got fireballed to death.  i was never impressed and killed them often when they were not in a large group.

Needless to say, one of these guild leaders has a website and talks about the forming of "Blood" on Asheron's call -  The guild/pvp/reputation over there was truly one to be admire.  From their own custom scripts/hacks  to just full time managing of the patron system - It was a work of art.

Anyone else get to experience this?

Dark Age of Camelot / Re: Nevermind, I closed my account!
« on: February 05, 2015, 08:52:45 AM »
I know this is old - but I'll necro for something I loved.

DAOC was great.  I had 3 good runs at it.  Played beta and roped a bunch of Everquest friends into trying it out -  We had a bunch of arguements, and the guild split etc. But it was really fun for a few months.

I couldn't get past all the bugs.  When I hit 45 I still had a level 30 weapon.  Hibernia had no items itemized in any of their dungeons.  Yet Midgard had stuff.  So you go out to RvR and it was tough.  Lucky the player base was around level 30ish, so having a big level spread on them really helped out.

Quit before I was 50

Returned to the game after the big expansion w/ all the fancy items (forget name right now)  It really changed the complexity of the game.  Forced people to PVM just to compete in PvP - allowed you to have half a dozen clickies and special abilities etc.  After getting geared out and ML 10  wasn't too much longer and I quit again.

I came back for the Minotaur expansion - Pretty sure I was playing on the classic server then (no above mentioned expansion) imbuing system was full scale to make nice items.  Most anyone could spend a couple weeks levels and gearing and be ready for top lvl PvP -  I actually led the raid who was the first to capture the Mintaur relic event - 1 time event all attending got a statue or something.  Pretty cool time  Maybe 600 people pvping at once.

Tried to come back years later, and everything felt so clunky and dead I couldn't appreciate the game I once enjoyed.

It was right up there w/ some of the best pvp I have had.

Thanks for the memories

General UO Chat / Reforge crafter?
« on: February 05, 2015, 12:52:30 AM »
Is there a reforge crafter for public?

I saw frneos crafter, that looks really nice but i THINK its just burning runics only -

I'd like to basically do the same thing except select reforge options.

Have it craft item iron item, smelt non exceptional, use runic to reforge stated properties, evaluate items, unravel rest.  Heck could be tailor and metal.

I searched around, but not finding anything like this.  Point me in the right direction please - its tedious doing this by hand.

*edit*  Saw that Ghost has a runic reforge helper - maybe I can get started there if there is nothing more complete.

It seems the script requires 500 ginseng whenever it draws from container.

I had 270 left, and it said not enough (needed to finish 10 more potions)

Also had 2 stacks of ginseng, one stack has 27 the other 800, got the msg not enough in container halting script.

Also wouldn't start when i was testing it to make 1 potion until I had hundreds in there. Kept saying not enough.

I don't know if this is by design but its not making sense to me just yet.

Still testing it -

Fixed the typo where it was saying out of garlic when It should say out of ginseng (it had the correct item type, just typo for Gheal)

Player Templates / Re: Whammy
« on: February 01, 2015, 03:38:33 AM »
As I've returned to game, I have gone from one thing to the next in a bit of random chaos.

My sampire is looking solid, finishing up his spawn weapons now.

My fisherman are getting the job done.

So I thought about trying a wraith thrower / whammy thrower.

Lots of varied suggestions on the web. With pros/cons.

What I can't sort out is certain publishes have changed a few things - so unable to tell which templates are the most viable.

The reply above shows high necro, is that needed for wraith form?

I was going to try this:

120 Throwing
120 Tactics
120 Bushido
120 Anatomy
100 Healing
70 Chivalry
40 Necro
30 SS (60)

Some of the things I read are monsters running out of mana, so you can't leach, where a HML weapon would still leach? Do I understand that right.  If all the focus is on wraith and you still need HML.....whats the point.

So w/ regards to suggesting high SS , is that 60 going to be enough?

In the end I guess it all depends on what you want to fight.  I'd like to make one more versatile than anything, maybe a backup DPS for my sampire (2nd account)

So if this wraith form is going to run dry on average stuff, maybe I dont want to make it.

Rolling this char today, unless you folks talk me out of it - any suggestions/tweaks to build would be nice.

General UO Chat / Re: Suit Building
« on: February 01, 2015, 03:00:40 AM »
There are a couple of spreadsheets already setup you can find on stratics.

Here is a link to one I just found last night. Includes a table for setting prices so you can figure costs for your shard.

I havent used it to build a suit yet, but it looks really good.
