Well when I worked for Apple which was recently. I was allways told jailbreaking breach your ATT contract. Techincal yes its leagal. But on the flip side, no one will service it.

I have been doing this to phone users for years they bring me their phone and i would unlock it to use all carriers for 5 or 10 bucks just enough to cover the purchase of the usb cable most times :)

Yeah, I've been doing this with my phones as well... now it's legal LOL. Still voids the guarantee, but you can just flash it back if you ever need service.
