Thanks for the feedback. Was wondering if I should get it, but it seems like most people are enjoying it.

Got it.

Leveled thieve skills early (lockpick, pickpocket).

Already found an infinite level "feature".  Wouldn't advise doing it as it kind of kills some of the experience, but here it is if you care:  Work pickpocket to ~40.  Get the perks to make it work better (2 points in the first perk should be plenty).  Train one handed weapon at Armen (probably works on all trainers, only one I tried).  Pickpocket the gold back.  The value of the gold will make pickpocket level and the trained swords will make you level.  It takes about 4 iterations to gain a level.  Make sure you train out your level before you actually level up (can only do 5 trains per level).  Rinse, repeat.

I used the above for a level or two before I said "Man, this is cheating".  But, I really wanted the skill in PickPocket (later perks are AWESOME), and so I justified it a little bit...

Edit - Video I made:
t=0m15s (it's still editing so I have some xsplit garbage at the start)

The graphics just aren't there yet on ALL those 3D games to get me away from my isometric UO.

There getting there though...one day once they get it right I can see myself playing a 3D game might not be for another 10 years though. ;)

12 hours solid play time went like this:

After two hours: "Hey, okay I've played for awhile, I should take a break." *save game, get up and goto the bathroom, then look in the fridge and realize that the hunger felt isn't for food... It's for more skyrim*
After 4 hours: Same thing.
After 6 hours: same thing.
After 10 hours: same thing.
After 12 hours: I am here writing this... And wanting to log back into skyrim.

Have you tried one of the games actually enabled for 3d glasses, yet?  I played Crysis 2 on the PC using HDMI out to a 3DTV and it was ~ok.  Definitely real "depth" but the focus point didn't stay consistent enough for me to truly enjoy it.

Girlfriend came over today, but it was the oldest kid's birthday so no "fun time" for me - she had to leave town tonight.  Luckily, I'm old enough (is that possible?) to not worry about it as much as I did 10 years ago.

Quick Tip .... only played for an hour or two but got tired of the cumbersome "Q" button then menu selection for your Favorites...   I did some looking & didn't realize that once you bring up your Favories w/ Default Q button you can then assign each favorite a 1-9 key value... (maybe other buttons didn't try)....

So... once you've assigned a quick key.. it's 1 button bush for various spells / items / poitions etc.. without the Favorites menu!
Enjoy.

Hey Snake, is vent empty since the game came out??
I havent been on since Skyrim hit. lol

-

Its the little things that I like about this game.. .
I was exploring way up in the mountains, there
was blizzard, and as I was trekking through snow
I spotted something sticking out of the snow.. .
Slowly I moved up to it thinking it was a trap,
I put the target over the item poking out of the
snow and it was arrow. I was like wtf.. .so I
pulled it out of the snow and nothing happend.. .
But I still thought it was cool, nothing around
way out in the wild, a arrow sticking in the snow.
lol

I wonder if you can do that somehow with the gamepad (I play PC, but have the xbox controller hooked up)...

Also, like 10 freakin' hours today.  Just hit lvl 30.

Is there a way to display the dmg your doing in combat?   I'm reading various forums & seeing people say things like "I do 690 dmg per hit" etc... & wondering how they know that.  I'm playing on the PC of course but cannot find an option in the settings for displaying that stuff.  Is there perhaps a console command that displays more information about what's going on etc?

option on that shows what damage is done.

OK - this is a stupid question but to dual cast a spell do you just have to have the spell in both hands and cast from one or do you need to cast by pushing both mouse buttons at once?

I'm going to say you have to push both mouse buttons at once... I'm basing this off of the fact that to dual wield weapons you do it like that.

Ok... so been lock picking quite a bit & I'm thoroughly annoyed at the PC interface....   I guess what I'm asking is if anyone knows a way to SLOW DOWN the A & D buttons when turning your lock? (on a PC...  I've  seen videos of people using Xbox controls & it's WAAAY easier to pick a lock when you can turn it slowly to not break your picks)...

So...   Can it be done?

Im not sure how it is with the mouse, but
on the ps3 Ive been putting the spell on
both triggers AND holding both down.. .

I havent messed with dual casting to much,
I usually run around with a one handed weap
in one hand and cast with the other hand.. .
