Very good script.

I have a proposition:

Could the script first kill the sheep and then use the knife for the wool to be out of the body and finally catch it? With this, you could take the triple of wool.

Is it possible to add more than nine runes? Cause when you put SHEEP 10 in the book, the script does not consider the rune number 10.

thanks

Hi,
at first thank you for running my script !

I will look into the Runebook problem, honestly I never used more than 4 differend places so far.

About the other issue with the amount of wool:

I don't think it will tribble anything to change the way it gathers wool.

If I am correct I get 2 piles of wool with my method
in felluca area from each sheep.
Then I use this two piles of wool on a spinningwheel.
I end up with two runs of the spinningwheel and get finally
6 balls of yarn.

With your method I get 6 piles of wool from a dead sheep.
When I use this kind of wool piles on a spinninwheel
I end up with 1 ball of yarn per pile of wool.
So I have to do 6 runs of the spinningwheel
and in the end I have 6 balls of yarn.

Finally we both have the the same amount of yarn
but you need way more spinningwheel runs.

cu

Edit:
I checked the script with a full Runebook (16 Runes)
and I had no problems at all, I added a display for
the travel spot maybe this will help use to
figure out why it isn't working for you.
Please let me know if you play on a freeshard
or if you use a non english version of UO.
Thanks

Ok, I'll explain you.

Freeshard Server (Osi Style).

You're right, in Felucca you get 2 wool for each sheep and in Trammel it's only one. The difference is that if you kill the sheep first and then you take the wool from its body, it gives you six pieces in Felucca and only 3 in Trammel.

Using the wool in a spinningwheel you'll get 3 balls of yarn for each piece of wool.

At least it is how it works on the server where I play. So, at least in this one, it is more rentable to kill the sheep first and then extract the wool.

I checked the script and I've only been able to download version 1.1a, maybe it is related...

Hi again,

I am very sorry but I don't really support freeshards .. I do scripts for "OSI" shards and
if they work on freeshards too it is OK for me .. but I will not support those shards at all.

Thx and Cu

Has anyone got a good list of consistent sheep locations?
This coin declares Caesar is "Dictator for Life." He did serve as Dictator for the remainder of his life, but his life would end only a few weeks after this issue. For Caesar to put his image on coins and essentially declare himself king was too much for Brutus and his republican allies.

Hi,

just south of Yew you have 3 fenced areas with about 10-15 sheep

The script kills the sheep so I usualy had no need for more locations
because the sheep respawn fast enough.

I am cooking along with this script, and getting comfortable with how it works. I have a couple of items of feedback.

1. The script doesn't have a failsafe to confirm that it has moved through a gate.  At GM magery you fail to cast gate on occassion.  The script will hang if it fails to cast gate, pausing when it can't find the wool box in the bank -- because it never made it to the bank. I am going to see about adding a position monitor.

2. I can't seem to get the multi-book to work properly.  I read the directions a couple of times, but for some reason I don't seem to understand it.  Probably because I am think.  What should the second book with bank/home runes be labelled?

I was running it on seige last night.

Name one book sheep 3   (first 3 sheep runes or 5 if five locations)

The other book the first 2 runes are for banks. You use the setup to target this book.

Hi,

sorry for the trouble you have with the script and thank you for the feedback !

have a couple of items of feedback.
You are right, I never had the idea of monitoring this even, because the Gate thing was just for SP
and I never used a char there with trouble to gate :-)

have a couple of items of feedback.
2. I can't seem to get the multi-book to work properly.  I read the directions a couple of times, but for some reason I don't seem to understand it.  Probably because I am think.  What should the second book with bank/home runes be labelled?
I am sure the directions are not the best, because english isn't my natural language.
I will try my best to fix this, for now I will try to explain.

You can use this script with one (A) or with two (B) RuneBooks.

Version A)
Set the SETUP Menu Option "UseOneRuneBook" to true (signed)
Set the SETUP Menu Option "Allow Alternate Home" to false (unsigned)
Use one Runebook with one Rune to your DropOff Location and max 15 Farming Spots
in it, Place your Bank/Secure Rune into the first Slot of this RuneBook
Let's say you have four Farming Spots put those Runes in the following slots,
rename the RuneBook to "SHEEP (SPACE) (Amount of Farming Runes)" eg "SHEEP 5"

Version B)
Set the SETUP Menu Option "UseOneRuneBook" to false (unsigned)
Set the SETUP Menu Option "Allow Alternate Home" to false (unsigned)

Use two RuneBooks
RuneBook ONE
Named "SHEEP (SPACE) (Amount of Farming Runes)" eg "SHEEP 4"
Holds all your farming runes and the amount of runes is added to the Runebook Name

RuneBook TWO
Any other Runebook in your Backpack can be used and during SETUP you will
be asked to target this Runebook.
The first slot of the Runebook holds your Dropoff/Secure Rune.

The Version B Setup is my personal favorite because
the most of use have a "regular" Runbook with the home/secure Spot in Slot one.

Finally the Option if you sign the OPTION "Allow Alternate Home"
you can add an extra dropoff / secure Rune to the Book setting you like,
to make sure even if spot one is blocked you use spot two.
In Version A setting you just put this alternate home rune in Slot 2
and the farming runes will follow.
In Version B you also place the alternate Spot in Slot 2 of the 2nd RuneBook

I hope this makes it easier.
If you have sugestions please let me know and I will change the "HELP" stuff in the script

cu
