Re-Forging the 'Perfect' Elven Composite Bow

I guess I have not wrapped my knowledge around Re-Forging yet because I simply cannot make the Elven Composite Bow that I am looking for.

Trying to get:
SSI 40% (to enhance to 50%)
Balanced
Hit Mana Leech
Hit Stamina Leech
Hit Lower Defense

I have Poisoning at 100 and would like to use this Bow for PvP purposes <using the ability Serpent Strike>.  Is this a good bow?  Are there better ones for what I am trying to do?  Any suggestions on how to reforge this to get the best mods capable before imbuing?

if you do get those kind of mods before imbue, chances are the weight property will be too intense. Try just making a clean bow with just SSI 40, then pof it, then imbue it then enhance it for the 50% SSI

ok. to get 50 ssi you need to make a plain bow, plain wood, reforge with ash runic with quality of haste.  I takes quite a few kits to get one with 40ssi and you can occassionally get a random mode you dont need.  then imbue then enhance with ash to get to 50 ssi.  Ive made two comp bows like this with 50 ssi.

Thanks Hoby...you must have understood what I was trying to accomplish.  Sorry Guiness, that I was not more clear.  I am trying to reforge the bow to 40% SSI first and hopefully not get any weird mods...I will try it tonight, but pray to the Reforging Gods first...!

yea, dont forget to powder before you enhance. It took me maybe five ash runics to get a 40 ssi comp bow with 40 velocity.  Then i imbued with balance, and lightening then enhanced for 50 ssi.

Heh.... Don't confuse the man with the 40% Velocity comment.       The Velocity being picked as a mod is only good bc you wanted Velocity on your end product but it doesn't really matter since it's something that can be imbued.  Ash Runic is 2-3 properties though I admit I'm not certain if you can pull a high intensity Reforge (40% SSI) if only 2 properties are generated.  I think if a Ash Runic rolls the maximum of 3 properties the "Budget" that you can "spend" on the intensity of those properties is higher.  Anyway.... Ash Runic / Reforge picking Haste & hope you get lucky!!

On a side note.... there's a reason you don't see people using Elven composites in PvP.  Serpent Arrow pretty much sux as far as I know.   The only really good use I've thought of was the changes to force arrow that make it a guaranteed interupt.   Just throw an elven Comp in your backpack for when you come up against a protection Stoneform newbie & use that force arrow to screw up his protection Cleansing winds etc..

Saws and Fletching Kits actually yield much Higher intensity on their lower runic's than tailor/Smith.

Also, I'd recommend using some SSI increase on your gear so you don't have to worry about getting to 50%.  Get to 40%, then throw on a cloak and a 5% SSI ring.

Unless that screws up you suit build, it seems like a much faster way to achieve your objective.

i just like seeing the 50% ssi.  plus i have a ring and the cloak and 181 stam.   makes for some pretty fast arrows.

This would be PvE bow. pvp velocity,balance, hit something etc i think. If u have loads of Hwood kits just try make one uber bow that wont need any imbuing.

I must admit, banksitting with 50% SSI bow would be impressive.

With a normal Comp bow 60 SSI and 210 Stamina, you can swing at 1.25
