Well for myself I wanted a different name than my main UO's characters or even my stratics profile, so being the creative (LoL) person that I am I started thinking & inevitably started at ONE.... I was surprised it wasn't taken though heh.
Anyone else?

To be honest I cannot actually remember. I just remember that I wanted a Different name than i had used on EUO. If i got to do it over I would try to find a more unique name like TrailMyx... Google Endless Night you get movies, songs blabla .. scriptuo nowhere to be seen . Google Trailmyx and scriptuo is the second hit.

I think I actually inspired a trailmix company too (trailmyx.com). hehe. Mine was just random while watching TV one night. Trailmix commercial duded up a bit. Viola.

I decided to play LA shortly after it came out and i had the bod market on lockdown there with my main character named The Bodfather. I've since quit playing that shard and no longer go by that name but it's catchy for forums.
If you google mine the 1st hit is like soft porn or something haha.

Some operands I found back in highschool while digging through Windows XP registrars... dx was there, happened to have a CD-ROM laying around. Suddenly bam. Name.

Way back when me and a bunch of guys started characters to join factions when they first started up. I made a Dexxor to run with Vanq spears collected and Power spears made from Verite hammers and since it took the mentality of a Lug nut to run the template Lugnutz was born :) Then it spurred a whole Lug up rising on Cats. My guild mates followed with Lugwrench, Lugstud, Lugbolt, Lugdud etc. It was really fun untill the Speed Hackers took off and we all moved on.

Mine came from i was looking for a name that would scare other stategist into leaving before the game even started. i played all of the C & C games. Massacre would be my name but i altered it a bit and made it just a tad different to even make my opponents loose concertation because of the misspelling :) So Masscre' was born.

Very simple - I always have a pet dog named gimlet (came from my wifes love of vodKa gimlets!)

It's hard to get your eyes off of that one. She's had some others that were just, if not more, interesting. I like it that she's willing to post what she fancies and for a short time it caused "conversation" on that site as people debated the correctness of her avatar but the people who run the site are FB friends with her(strange as they never added me) so it all blew over.
She's a good chick and I'm happy that we are together, I look at other friends who are the same age as us and I thank my lucky stars I scored. Openness and the ablity to talk is a trait not alot of couples have or are willing to work on. If there is one thing I could pass on to younger people it would be that, talk about everything good or bad and the rewards can be well worth the effort. I'm glad that we are in our mid thirty's and I managed to score the wife who still likes to shag, sadly most of my RL friends are not in the same boat and I suspect it sucks.

My name came from my favorite fantasy book series written by Karl Edward Wagner back in the 70's about Kane, a character in a fantasy setting. He was cursed by God to live with mankind forever because he killed his brother Abel. Yes an interesting spin on the Biblical story.
When I googled Kane, the first thing that came up with a wrestler lol.

Thier are many routes to Elite status... I dont think a single Elite member has walked exactly the same path (besides the fundemental off consistently adding to the community in one form or another)

I've never felt that I have added enough to the site to attain that status and really I think that other people in my boat should be of the same impression. Granted I have added to the reference area here and there which is more than 90% of the other leechers but I can't code and I would feel a little uneasy being tempted with other peoples hard work.
That all said if the only intention a person has for joining this site is mooching the scripts I feel sorry for them, it's a nice place to hang around in and the conversations are nice to read.

Kali is the Hindu goddess of death and destruction (something akin to Shiva, my lore isn't exact). In my youth, I didn't realize Kali was a female name. I'm a sucker for tradition and commitment, or I'd think about changing it to Kala (the masculine form of Kali, but I'm not quite sure if it is used in that connotation because kala is the Hindi word meaning black but still associated with Shiva.) I've had that name as my character since 2000 (My first was deamon slayer, but really didn't like that name so after my first perma ban, I changed to Kali). My full name here is KaliofLS = Kali of LS because I came from Lake Superior, where I still reside today. Though, with much shame, I don't really play my character Kali, ever, he's not a power house. I mean, he's not bad, I could certainly use him in pvp but he's no sampire, mage or tamer. Just a straight Bushi/Macer with anat/healing/resist. I kept my euo name just so that way people on both sites can draw the connection

I got my username thanks to Canuker, he would refer to me as Lady Canuker in posts on another forum so when I signed up there it was only natural that I keep the name.

I was signing up for a forum, though I can't remember which one. For like 20 minutes straight any name I came up with was taken. I was getting a wee frustrated and Weezer's Only in Dreams came on pandora or whatever it was back then. So I took it and stuck with it.

Yes being a hiring manager myself, that would be a discussion piece. I have seen alot over the years myself. I could list a few but may have young eyes viewing so I will leave them to the imagination.

I came up with my name back in 98-99 when I started using ICQ to communicate with other players within Ultima Online. At that time I was single and in the army, most of my free time was spent playing on Siege Perilous where I had 7 active accounts. Since then I have used it for most handles but never as an in-game character name.
