When I played UO a couple years ago and farther back, I became pretty good at taking scripts and modifying them to suit my needs.  However I really have no clue how to script myself.  I have read the tutorials here and have decided to take a shot at a fairly simple script and I am struggling to get it to work.
     I have used many scripts and have studied how those scripts made things happen, I have a limited understanding for what is going on. I can script for the most part in a straight line.  Where i tell it do this then this etc. etc.(uoap or uoa for example).    Its the subs and goto type stuff that i find confusing. I have made my script work the way I want in a linear fashion but I dont like it as its not versatile and changeable like the scripts made here.
     I have decided to make a simple begging script (halloween and all), to test my understanding.  I want it to Find target, use begging, select target, and repeat basically.  I also want to have a menu that displays at least current skill and number of gains.  I have used many scripts as references and have written my own script.
Can I post this script here to receive advice on how to fix it, tweak it improve it etc. ??
I dont care about publishing it unless I am asked to.
I just need to get script 1 under my belt so I have a toy to learn on.

tried this baby out for the first time.  AMAZING!

Had a new char created and went from 60 str to 110 str in about in hour. 

Great Script.  Will be sending a rep bump (like it matters for you) once I am eligible to do so.

for reference I had zero hangups other than a client crash once, but It was not related to the script. It picked up where i left off and went to town.

Hey Neo Nice script.
Im just returning to uo and decided to give this script a try. (need some wood to deco my house )
I have ran it for about 2 hours works flawlessly. (i am only using 1 book at this time until I can go mark more runes.)
 Love it.   The pathfinding worried me but it too is very smooth.

Only problems I ran into were my fault. Old rune led to a gargoyle spawn that I wasnt ready for so I went ghosty for a bit heh.

Only suggestion I might have and not being a good scripter Im not sure if its worth it, would be if using bank, being  able to use multiple banks so my loop is less obvious.

Anyway Great script, thanks for making a returning vet's life alot easier.

I have been reading and reading and reading and my eyes hurt.

I am a veteran UO player,  started back in early 98 I believe.  Played for years and I love this game.  I did take a step away a couple years ago and have missed UO terribly.  But after over 2 years off I just couldnt take it.  So here I am, Been on for less than a week and trying  to take it all in, trying to find all the old programs and websites I used to use, when I stumbled across you guys.  (FYI #1 on google when I searched Ultima Online Scripts).
    I am a VERY amateur scripter, much better at editing than writing for sure.  I do enjoy tweaking things to get exactly what I want cause I am a Lazy Tool.  I am mostly hoping that finding a few good scripts will help to get me back into an old favorite game that no other game has ever come close to matching for playability, and also hope to  make some new friends along the way.
