Title: [V6 , Pascal] Discord Trainer
Post by: dxrom on October 11, 2013, 01:12:49 PM
Code: [Select]
{Written by dxrom for release on ScriptUO.com

--Script will train discord up to 70 on a grizzly bear,
this is a SLOW method as it only utilizes ONE grizzly
bear that idealy you would lead to your house (via
taming) or a boat. However for a method that lets
you setup in your house, overnight it works fine.

No setup is required other than somehow getting a grizzly
  bear into your house.

  This script uses Hiding in order to break discord.}

Apparently all you need is 90+ skill in order to utilize the bard buffs or something, this script will get you to a point where you can toss on jewelry and train via using bard buffs.
I will most likely be changing this script and adapting it to train with bard buffs once I get that high myself, I figured though that I would just toss up what I am currently using.

NOTE: THIS METHOD IS REALLY REALLY SLOW. It only utilizes ONE grizzly bear, and you have to get it into your house. The reason that this method is so slow is because it utilizes hiding the break discord, which requires 22 seconds to break after you've hidden.

Also, I only set it up to use harps and tambourines... However setting it up to also support lutes and drums is as simple as adding their TYPES into Instruments:=[$0EB2,$0E9D];. I didn't do this because I didn't buy any lutes or drums when I made my character all I bought were harps and the character happened to start with a tambourine... I apologize for my laziness :X

Edit: Added Script to train PAST 90... I will update 30-70 script soon to go 30-90 since apparently I lied and you cannot use jewelry to train music skills.

Script 2:

Code: [Select]
{Written by dxrom for release on ScriptUO.com

--Script will train disco from 90-120 using yourself as a target
and the spell "Tribulation". Again, this is a SLOW skill to gain
however for something to run over night for gains it works fine.

In the event that a person cannot actually train to 120 disco
on thelmselves I will obviously update the script for that.

In order to get to 90 you can utilize my other disco script (If
that is it has been updated to goto 90).

  Setup: Nothing, hit play.

NOTE: You must have completed the quest to get your bard mastery
  book before using this script!
}

Reserved. Also added another script to train after you hit 90.

So...why are you not using a bunch of bears?  Put 'em in the house, release them all, then go!

A pack of mobs is next on my list, it wouldn't be too difficult considering it'd just be iterating through a list  :>

Without a solid supply of vodka though I feel rather brain dead at the moment :X

Currently though I am curious as to what gives the best gains at whatever level... Also trying to keep in mind accessibility of mobs and such.

With using the discord buff/debuffs I assume that you can gain off of anything all the way to 120?

90-107 training on self over night... Not too bad.

Wow, that's actually pretty impressive. Not really any slower than training on a bunch of tame/releases in the house TBH, but it's a *bleep*-ton easier to setup and code. I'm interested in how this goes for you timing-wise to 120 just training each night like that.

Am currently 112.7 (Unfortunately I didn't get up this morning to train after server up). Also just GMed peacemaking while training disco.
I'll upload the script I threw together to train Disco and Peacemaking at the same time. I'm a little torn as to how I'm going to train Provo though...

Hit 120 just now.

So I was 90 5 days ago... Take half a day off for patching, also the last 2 days I've been house sitting... It too about 2 1/2-3 days of training to go 90-120.

50-60  Polar Bear
60-73 Gaman
73-90 Ki-rin/uniorn
90-120 Spell on ur self.

I'll be updating this soon to support more animals and do 30-90 effectively without any setup.

90-120 works fine.

I forget what I used... 1 Grizzly bear and 1 Hiryu I think to get 30-90 which went pretty fast.

I have been wanting to raise discord, for some reason I thought OSI had made it so you couldn't raise discord in your house. Why not use invisibility to break it instead of hiding?

Because of mana consumption. You would be out of mana often with that method and ultimately the training wouldn't be much faster because of casting delays.

Plus hiding in your own house is 100% chance since the animals aren't attacking you (nor do they move).

Somehow I missed this post/point, and it occurred to me that I've always missed this point about Stealth. With that said...

...WHAT?!?! Clientless? How did I never catch that before?? Stealth is authenticating itself against the servers then basically just injecting commands to the stream directly rather than through the client interface?

I don't mean to hijack this thread for something I should have probably read about already but holy frigging crap lol.

Yes on Stealth being a fulling injecting command client without the actual client running. On the pets. I used gamans from 40 - 83.5. So this makes setup much easier. Gather  5-10 gamans in your house and disco untill you reach 83.5. Then maybe use unicorns until 90? Then mastery until 120. From the provacation side. You can also place 1 gaman in a pen inside of house and then 2nd in another pen and provoke each onto the other till 80~ provacation. I do not remember the exact number now. I hope this is helpful in your script and would be glad to help along the way since I am still training these skills currently. I had been wondering for a few days how to go beyond the 83.5 on disco and what would be an easy setup and easy to script.

I made a video tutorial that explains all that, it's in the release thread

A small side note that I did not mention before. For those that have non modifiable homes like myself. You can make a pen in your keep or castle by placing bag balls around the gamans and this keeps them contained. I started a new character last night to verify the provoke minimal skill. You need 40.0 skill to provoke a gaman onto another gaman and the script was easy to put together in EUO. I will give an idea of where it tops out at at a later date when the new toon tops out :)

Ok I hae returned. Gamans in your home will get you to 78.1. Just shy of what I had hoped. I will be trying giant beetles next. I have heard these will get you to 90. I will give feed back once I have something put together.

Yet another older thread, I'm finding lots of these while working up skills fast in case EasyUO or Stealth stops working.

120 provo + 120 music in about a day, still works.

There is a faster way however, and this applies to most skills, if you have a way of generating a lot of gold quickly. Buy scrolls of transcendence and get from 90 to 120 quickly, for provo they run between 5m and 8m each right now. For about 35m you get from mythic token to 120 in 2 minutes flat(120 provo scroll runs 400k), spend the time doing something else to raise gold instead.

In other words there is no script you should run if you have a method of generating large amounts of gold, such as buying and selling rares or farming gold on your 12 accounts for a couple hours :-X  There's no reason to spend 24 hours raising a skill if it can be bought for an amount of gold you could make in a fraction of that time. My 2 cents, great script regardless.
