UO Reference Information / Re: Bard Mastery
« on: July 06, 2011, 01:24:57 PM »
My mistake on the PVP and SDI, this will not go above cap I had thought the question was about PVM.

All of my information is from running my own bard and questions I have placed or read on stratics and then confirmed after.

I have casted invis many times on my guy and does break the line of sight that a monster uses to lock onto your char.  When you have the peacemaking spells cast it will auto reveal you though.

You cannot go over the hard cap of 25HPI from the Invigorate spell.

At 480 real skill you will get 11 mana regen, hpr and stam regen for your party.  Poison cures at the same time rate as vampiric embrace, as does curse reduction and bleeding.

I don't often cast Perseverance as I cannot keep both this and Resilience going for long on my bard(I only really use this spell stuff for soloing corgul and found Resilience the best spell to cast).  At 40 LMC and 20+ mana regen I could keep both spells going for a long time but I cannot cast heal on my wammy for long so I just leave the Peresvarance alone due to the mana cost of both spells and healing.  My bard is 480 barding, 120 med, 110 magery and what ever was left over into focus.

1. Does the melee damage increase from provoking mastery INSPIRE, go above the 300 DI cap, or is this applied independantly of that cap?
No, it is hard capped and will not rise.

2. Does the SDI increase from provoking mastery INSPIRE go above the current 15% limit in PvP?
Yes

3. Does the decrease in damage for PERSEVERENCE apply the same way as the decrease for riding an armored swampie?  If so, does it stack with that decrease?
Yes and it does stack.  It should be noted that with a 480 bard all real skill the DCI increase is 20+ as is the damage reduction.

4. The mastery book includes all six "spells", can you use the spells from another mastery once you have completed your chosen quest? Answer:  No, you can only cast the two spells from the mastery for which you have most recently completed the quest.

5. Can you invis/ hide/ smoke to break a mob off without interrupting the effect? [appears that you can, still testing]
I am almost sure this is the case also, though I only use the peacemaking spells.

6. Does Lower Mana Cost affect master effects? It appears that it does lower the cost of both casting and upkeep. at 40% LMC, the peace spells cost 5 and 6 mana for upkeep respectively.  instead of 8 each.
It should also be noted that you recieve a lower mana cost when you have a 480 bard, I believe that at 360 the cost is lower but I am not 100% sure.

I'll edit this to show the benifits of 480 when I get home but this type of char gets better spells then what is quoted in the original stuff.

General UO Chat / Re: Razor problems?
« on: July 06, 2011, 08:25:53 AM »
It's amazing how some guilds just aren't playing now that they don't have Razor and/or how awful they are right now!

I wasn't on last night due to my client was working ninja in the morning and managed to avoid the forced patch but I notice this every time also.  It's amazing to see all the kiddo's whom yell and cry in gen chat about this cheat and that one but manage to find other stuff to do when razor and easy are down....

Jokes! / Can't Fly
« on: July 06, 2011, 06:35:23 AM »
After taking his seat on a plane, a mild mannered young man was startled to see a parrot strapped in next to him. Choosing to ignore the bird, he asked the flight attendant for a cup of coffee. "And get me a whiskey, now!" the parrot ordered rudely. A few moments later the attendant returned with the whiskey, but no coffee. "Hey, lazy," the parrot cried out after draining his glass, "another whiskey!" Again, the attendant hurried to bring the parrot his drink but forgot the coffee.

Upset at being ignored, the man decided to try the parrots approach. "Hey, you!" he yelled at the attendant. "Coffee now or you'll never work for this airline again!"

A moment later, a burley co-pilot came over, grabbed the man and the parrot and tossed them out of the plane door.

As they plunged downward, the parrot turned to the man and said, "That was really gutsy, mister. Especially for someone who can't fly."

Jokes! / Federal Authority
« on: July 05, 2011, 10:44:11 AM »
A Texas Department of Water representative stopped at a ranch and talked with an old rancher. He told the rancher, "I need to inspect your ranch for your water allocation."

The old rancher said, "Okay, but don't go in that field over there."

The Water representative said, "Mister, I have the authority of the Federal Government with me. See this card? This card means I am allowed to go wherever I wish on any agricultural land. No questions asked or answered. Have I made myself clear? Do you understand?"

The old rancher nodded politely and went about his chores.

Later, the old rancher heard loud screams and saw the Water Rep running for the fence and close behind was the rancher's bull. The bull was gaining on the Water Rep with every step.

The Rep was clearly terrified, so the old rancher immediately threw down his tools, ran to the fence and shouted out, "Your card! Show him your card!"

Jokes! / Chicken Surprise
« on: June 29, 2011, 08:45:16 AM »
A couple go for a meal at a Chinese restaurant and order Chicken Surprise. The waiter brings the meal, served in a lidded cast iron pot. Just as the wife is about to serve herself, the lid of the pot rises slightly and she briefly sees two beady little eyes looking around before the lid slams back down.

"Good grief, did you see that?" she asks her husband.

He hasn't, so she asks him to look in the pot. He reaches for it and again the lid rises, and he sees two little eyes looking around before it slams down.

Rather perturbed, he calls the waiter over, explains what is happening, and demands an explanation.

"Please sir," says the waiter, "what you order?"

The husband replies, "Chicken Surprise."

"Ahh so sorry," says the waiter, "I bring you Peeking Duck."

I made slayers for them all but really the only one you might "need" it for is the abyss as those can pack a punch.  Hit area and running that champ targeting script from easy makes all of them a breeze.

I still am forever trying to improve my weapons and tactics.  I just revamped my samp to spam AI's but I really need to switch resist for anat or higher parry(for the lower mana cost or higher damage).

I would not want to be on the other side of a bridge with a few people who knew how to really milk this for all it's worth.  That said I do think it would be darn funny to open a few newb accounts and just see how much one could do.  GL on the GM's finding you if you just logged on, raided, took the champ and left.
