thank you for the list.  just as we got the new publish, my isp goes down.. now i got to wait till tuesday for a tech to tell me what i already know... i need a new modem. and it has to be a att product i cant buy em at best buy.

Well if your talking about a DSL modem .. it can be anyone off the shelf of best buy... I got att dsl and im useing a dsl modem i got umm.. about 15years ago from bellsouth...

If its a dailup modem then also any off the shelf one will work.

dsl modem, att has never given me the choice to use my own modem.. maybe I'll call them tomarrow and see if there's a certain type of modem that I need.
