UO Bragging Rights / Own a house next to a BANK!
« on: September 12, 2016, 10:45:46 PM »
This was some 12+ years ago on a OSI server.

I had a house right next to a special but public area with BANKERS  8)

Buddy and I enjoyed the benefits for about two years, in fact. And no one even noticed.  ;D ;D

Wow, This script has the potential to be the Dream Tool for any blacksmith.
Apparently it was designed at the time just before the introduction of reforging.

Here's how crafting with reforging works these days:
1. Crafting: use normal tool with normal iron ingot to make a weapon. (and everything should be exceptional quality)
2. Reforging: use a runic tool, target a weapon to bring up the reforging menu, select menu. Reforging done.
2.1. stand near a soulforge; char has imbuing skill already.
2.2. Pre-select the correct reforging menu manually (so the script doesn't need to select for you here)
3. Criteria kicks in. Move unwanted to Salvage bag. Move keepers to Weapon Bag.
(4. Imbuing: better done manually  ;D)

Redesigning the script will require some decent knowledge on how reforging works and how each different runics is being used nowadays:
ex: Dull Copper/Shadow runics: for elemental weps

Crafting / Re: Runic reforging Helper

Been looking for something like this to help with crafting. Here's my feedback:

The actual reforging process runs fine as intended. After all weapons are reforged, the script stops and does not move anything to the salvage bag. I think the 2nd post also ran into this.

Then I wondered what "normal" items means here, so I bought some NPC weapons (non-exceptional) and mixed with my GM weps (exceptional) in my backpack and ran the script. The script starts by moving all NPC weps into my Resource container and proceeds reforging all GM weps. After all GM weps are used up, script stops.

Nonetheless, this script still works nicely for the reforging process, which is the most time consuming.

To refine this script, here's my suggestion:
- part 1 (removing normal items): can keep it (as some newer type of weapons have lower exceptional rate unless you have +30 hammers), but needs to move into salvage bag.
- part 2 (reforging): works great!
- part 3 (moving unwanted reforged items into salvage): here's the tricky part. What is the criteria of the mods that you(or the script) want to keep? If the script worked correctly, it would have actually have "removed normal and reforged items to salvage bag" as indicated. Yes?  :D

Also, just a sidenote, would be wise to ensure the resource bag only has 1 type of runic because different level of hammers share the same ID (ex: TLH for DC/Shadow...hammers).

Thanks for the script, Cheers!

New member introductions / Hiya, this is moslet
« on: September 12, 2016, 12:25:51 AM »
Hello everyone, I'm moslet.

I've been playing UO for some 13+ years now, starting 1997 on and off a couple times,
only on OSI shards (Atlantic, Sonoma) and doing mostly PvM stuff. I've trained just about every useless skills in the game.
I like crafting but will never try gardening! UO is about the only online game I've ever really played.

Back in the earliest days, I became GM Carpenter and Miner by HAND. Yup. But those were the days.
UO takes so much clicks/operations to get jobs done, and without scripts I wouldn't have made this far.
I dont have coding skills but I am able to modify an outdated simple script as needed for myself.
Nowadays I'm just self-sufficient and dont really need anything else. But I still like to discover new scripts/tools that may be able
to help my gameplay.

I found this site apparently from EUO forum. SUO looks very much active and I look forward to being a member of this forum.

+10 SSI clean/non-antigue jewels are all that PvM needs, and these are mostly lesser magic items,
that means the mobs are definitely not tough. I've farmed demons and swoops but no find.

For PvM I wouldn't pay millions for other antigue legendary jewels, especially in melee these antigues will wear out VERY fast (ie. 3 spawns).

If anyone knows where to farm, please let know =)
