Off Topic / So so long away ...I'll be quick
« on: December 14, 2018, 06:58:24 PM »
Hi again!

Made ya look  ;)

For the past 8 years i've been working for a merchant acquirer company monitoring network abnormalities, escalating issues and validating ACH files...but in the last 4 years, i've been designing, testing, implementing and coding for the same company a transaction certification test web site and appropriate tools to support the users.  Basically using the following languages and tool(s):
MS SQL
C#
cshtml/Razor
MVC 5
Javascript
CSS
Jquery
Ajax
Visual Studio 2017 (community)

Thought i'd share this at this time as i've learned so much in the time i've been away that i'm almost (ALMOST) interested in hanging out here again and perhaps scripting again...imagine that.

Cheers!

Scripting Chat / Pre-Patch Quiver of Rage?
« on: April 17, 2011, 05:09:08 PM »
So as I'm going through all my stuff, I come across this quiver a bit different than the others. A typical Quiver of Rage has the Ammo & Damage Modifier listed under the damage breakdown, like this:

Quiver of Rage
Weight: 2 Stones
Physical
Fire
Cold
Poison
Energy
Ammo:
Damage Modifier:

This Quiver has the Ammo & Damage Modifier listed above the damage breakdown like this:

Quiver of Rage
Weight: 2 Stones
Ammo:
Damage Modifier:
Physical
Fire
etc...

Is there any benefit to this?

Computer Rigs / New Rig, MB decisions ... ug
« on: February 07, 2011, 05:23:05 PM »
Hey all. I'm building a new rig that will primarily be used for a work machine, not gaming. I'd like it to be as 'future proof' as possible, but also do not need many of the perks associated with 'power-house' machines. My motherboard budget allows for a maximum of $110 including any taxes and/or shipping price. Discounts are good if they bring the price below the 110 mark, and here are a few requirements.

  • USB 3.0*
  • 1 PCI-E 2.0
  • AMD3 Socket/Phenom II for a Calisto 955
  • No onboard video
  • 1333 compatible memory
  • 1 Pata
  • Core Unlocking ability
  • ATX
  • Sata 6gb*

* at least 1 if possible

At the moment, I have the CPU, one stick of memory, the hard drive and a hand me down GPU

Memory : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231310
CPU : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103846

I shop only on newegg for computer parts and am torn on a selection of 3 of them:

ASUS : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131656
MSI : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130275

Any input anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Off Topic / Odd donation site

I listen to Sirius/XM satellite radio and hear commercials for the blind heritage donation site. This baffles me because what they are accepting are boats, cars, RV's etc.  Really?

http://www.1800donatecars.com/

Maybe I'm the blind one here but, what will donating a vehicle to a blind organization do for those who can't see?

Off Topic / Have two or more computers? Want ultimate control?
« on: January 11, 2011, 03:11:02 PM »
Then this is what you want. Input Director. With Input Director, you can control several Windows computers with one keyboard and one mouse without the need for a KVM! This works by communicating over your local home network to the networked machines, allowing you to smoothly move your mouse and keyboard commands to the desired machine seamlessly and without lag issues. Simply slide your cursor off screen, and voila! you're on the other machine(s) issuing commands from the same keyboard and mouse you started with.

I use this program at work where we have 6 computers all networked, each with 2 monitors attached to them, and Input Director works like a champ.

Have a Windows machine and a MAC? or Ubuntu or Linux that you'd like to rid the keyboard and mouse of? Then use this cross-platform alternative !

General UO Chat / The time is nearing...
« on: January 11, 2011, 03:49:21 AM »
...for me to say goodbye to UO. I've spent nearly 10 aggravating years clamoring to acquire the goods, skills, items and gold that all who enter this world yearn to hold. Admit-tingly, I haven't come close to seeing many of my desires come to be, and while that may seem enough for some to call it quits, it's not the only circumstance for my departure. I simply haven't the time, and so with out the time, the desire, drive, ambition and fortitude also fade away to the bigger goals and desires in my life.

I do not anticipate coming back to the game, nor even reading about it on stratics, euo or any of my regular haunts,..with SUO being the exception. This exception is something I hold dearly, and out of great respect for it's owners, participants and regulators. I'm fully aware of the risk that was taken in elevating my status to Elite given my questionable background, so I again thank the deciding community to allow me to contribute in the ways I know how, and to learn in the same methods.

I will continue to stop by SUO and contribute when and where I can, offer insight and even a few ideas where feasible. Perhaps from time to time, share some articles of interest, or whatever.

Unfortunately, this will mean the end of any and all script I have posted, and anyone wanting to acquire them may do so given sufficient credit is followed. I am sorry for those expecting the WIT to evolve into the OEUO playground, but it just isn't worth my time anymore.

As for my accounts, I will be selling them for US cash, and only together. I have two accounts, and they go together. I do not as of yet have a list of contents, or char info to dish out, much less an asking price.

So consider this a heads up. Two accounts, one is nearly 10 years old, and another is nearly 8 (i think). Two houses, one loaded with good stuff, the other loaded with million dollar checks (seriously).

I'll post with my account details in the coming weeks, and look forward to finally shaking the UO bug.

OEUO Snippets / Bag of Sending setup function
« on: October 21, 2010, 05:38:52 PM »
This function brings up a target cursor and first checks if the target is actually a bag of sending by looking for the string "Sending" in the bag name.  Will return 'nil' if it does not. Otherwise the script will set variables to the id of the bag, "BagoSend" and number of charges to "charges".

Code: [Select]
function setBOS()
  UO.TargCurs = true
  while UO.TargCurs == true do
    wait(100)
  end
  lasttargid = UO.LTargetID
  stra,strb = UO.Property(lasttargid)
  strmatch = string.find(stra,"Sending")
  if strmatch == nil then
    return(strmatch) -- not a bag of sending, returns nil
  end
  BagoSend = UO.LTargetID
  strmatch = string.match(strb,"(s:...)")  -- 10 or more charges
  if strmatch ~= nil then
    charges = (strmatch:match("..$"))
    return(charges .. BagoSend)
  end
  if strmatch == nil then
    strmatch = string.match(strb,"(s:..)")  -- 9 or less charges
    charges = (strmatch:match(".$"))
    return(charges .. BagoSend)
  end
end

test with this:

Code: [Select]
setBOS()
print(charges,BagoSend)

OEUO Snippets / Open Container with GumpWait
« on: October 19, 2010, 12:17:45 AM »
Simple functions to open a container, wait for it to open, and then place it where you tell it to. The gump wait timer is set to 3 seconds and returns false if the container does not need to be reopened.

4 parameters to pass to the function, 2 are optional. Will default to 0,0 if no position is given.  There's no hardcore checks for proper variable types passed, but probably won't work if it's not correctly placed. Example below on how it's used.

Quote
Open_Container(UO.BackpackID,"container gump",100,100)

Code: [Select]
function Open_Container(C1,C2,x1,y1)
  -- Arg1 = Container id
  -- Arg2 = Container name
  -- Arg3 = contposX
  -- Arg4 = contposY
  if x1 == nil and y1 == nil then do end
    x1,y1 = 0,0
  end
  ContDelay = math.abs(getticks() + 3000)
  ContOpen = true
  while ContOpen == true do
    UO.LObjectID = C1
    UO.Macro(17,0)
    Gump_Wait(C2)
  end
  UO.ContPosX,UO.ContPosY = x1,y1
end

function Gump_Wait(C2)
  -- Arg1 = Gumpname
  repeat
    wait(50)
  until UO.ContName == C2 or getticks() > ContDelay
  if UO.ContName == C2 then do
    ContOpen = false
    wait(250)
    return true
  end
  else do end
    return false
  end
end

Scripting tools / SuperSlayer's Auto Login Script for OpenEUO Version 1.8
« on: October 18, 2010, 07:48:37 AM »
Wow, this thing is wicked fast! This is kinda basic, not too advanced imo. And yes, this is my very first OpenEUO script ! Yay me! So without further delay,... :)

Code: [Select]
Script Name: SuperSlayer's Login
Author: SuperSlayer
Version: 1.8
Client Tested: 7.0.10.1
oEUO Version: 0.91.0008
Razor Version: 1.0.12.15
Shard: OSI
Public Release: 11-2-2010
Purpose: Relog your character in after daily maintenance, or any other time your connection is lost.

FYI: Shard numeric values have changed over the last year, so at the bottom of the script is a list
of shards and their values current as of 11-02-2010.

Setup Directions:
- Place your UO account name and password in the variables provided below. -Case SeNsiTivE !!
- If you know your shard is within the first 'x' many in the list, put that value in in 'Shards2Scan.
- Select the character to login by number. Top character slot = 1.
- Select the shard to login by number. Shard numeric values are at the bottom of this script for you.

Thanks and acknowledgments:
Kal for the original script structure, the entire scripting communities at SUO and EasyUO and Cheffe for OpenEUO !

Call the file from within your script and change character/shard without opening and changing the login script.
Use this example and be sure to set the correct atoms!

     setatom('Custom',true)        -- set the boolean value to true to use the atom set variable. Set to false to not use
     setatom('AN','BobsAccount')   -- your UO account name
     setatom('PW','BobsPassword')  -- your UO password
     setatom('S2',5)               -- shards to scan
     setatom('CS',1)               -- character slot
     setatom('SH',890981139)       -- shard to select by numeric value
     dofile('ss_autologinoeuov1.8.lua')

Loop it in your script with this example:

     repeat
     ** your code **
       if UO.CliLogged == false then
         wait(500)
         dofile('ss_autologinoeuov1.8.lua')
       end
     ** your code **
     until 1 == 2

Version 1.8
- Added ClientSwap function; confirms the client to log in to based on an empty 'CharName'.
- Added additional login validation step to avoid hanging at character selection gump.
- Adjusted shard scanning technique to first scan for the existence of shard
    names and run a pixel sum test to verify.
- Misc. wait adjustments and subtle code changes to certain function
- Print function included to provide feedback to the user that the character is logged in, and
    the characters name is no longer "".

Version 1.7
- Removed LShard function in favor of speed of script and shard selection accuracy. Using LShard at login properly
  sets the last used shard, but during maintenance, the shards get reassigned. Otherwise, this is so fast
  that it still only takes less than a few seconds to get into the game.
- Added atom functionality so the script may be 'called' using variables set in your own script. Useful for bod
  collecting scripts, multi-account script setups, (Manwinc's army perhaps?) and more!
- Little more code cleanup as well.

Version 1.6
- Put LShard check in proper place -- oops!

Version 1.5
- Adjusted wait throughout script to better ensure values.
- Uses LShard if already logged in and connection is lost.
- Better control of single and double clicks.
