Resource Farming / Re: Garden Bed Gathering
« on: March 17, 2013, 12:51:06 PM »
Hi
I have been following this with interest and tried each versions.  The last version worked the best for me although it only did three plants south of me on the right side of the garden bed.

I have 11 beds in a U shaped formation but when it has worked it has only worked for a few then says "too far away".  The clipping worked perfectly.

For me, the issue is not floors as it is all on the same level (roof of a castle).  Any ideas as when it works it is brilliant but the range is limited to south side only and then only a few in a garden bed.  Also, the character moves around as if on auto follow or something?  Hope this may give you a clue as to the problem.

Thanks for all the hard work.

Crafting / Re: Bulk Order Bribery

Nice script... did the job simply and relatively well.  I went looking precisely for this solution to endless bribery of bods and this did the job.  Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the tip Ultima.  I tried it out but unfortunately it didn't work.  Do you normally see S7's gump come up when it is called?  Being totally unfamiliar with the script it is hard to figure out what is happening.  I am using the script fresh from the download... has there been any mods needed to be made that aren't noted in the forum for this script?  I have read through it all and haven't found any.

I thought this looked like a useful script and so made it my first download from here.  I use S7BodFiller daily so it is all working.  Put this script into same directory as per instructions.  Correct skills on character.  Two BOD books as instructed with roughly 100 bods in the one to be made and an empty one for putting the filled bods in.  Started up script and it dropped the BOD into backpack, picked up 10 copper ingots (was iron bod) and opened the blacksmith gump and stalled.  Can see it is because it hasn't picked up the iron ingots (zero in bag) but I have no idea why it isn't.  S7's works perfectly.  Any ideas anyone?  Is this still working after the recent patching?

Thanks for any help.  Clueless at scripting sorry.  Hope you can help as this would be awesome to use... I currently buy the 'normal' small bods but that is time consuming to do and I think this would enable some very nice bodding sessions.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!  Great to see such an active site.  I am excited to go off and explore... I have my eye on that IDOC checker one... I have wished for such a thing and might be just what I need to go wander the shard and figure out how everyone knows what is going to fall and when!

Also looking for a lumberjack in Ter Mur script... I am sure there will be one here!

If anyone wants a jane doe public beta tester for fool proofing setup instructions or scripts for the newb... please call on me!

New member introductions / Returning UO addict
« on: December 28, 2012, 12:56:50 AM »
Hi all
My UO playing days go all the way back to 1997 (but not from the first day UO opened).  My son was 7 and played UO although he always insisted on going up to the Brit Crossroads and thought the pkers who hung there were his friends!  UO taught him to spell and type!  I was lucky and eventually got a house on a mining wall and used to spend all night macroing through the wall and gathering the ore... can't do that these days!  Then I learned boat mining up on minoc wall... that was pretty good too.

The UO music always invokes a response in my heart.  A total addict back then but I cold turkey'd and walked away from the game during the OSI 'sacking' of the volunteers and bringing in of overseas support.  When the smurfs died, I swore I would never give OSI another cent of my money and closed all my accounts.

I wandered in the desert looking for another game.  I played WOW for quite awhile but it didn't have the same long term pull on my heart.  Then I tried the free shards for awhile and did quite well there.  But it didn't really have the trading that I liked and the numbers to support my vendor addiction!  I left for awhile but about six months ago I returned to the free shards but they kept shutting down or being unavailable.  I finally decided to try a live production shard again (I told myself that EA owned it now so OSI was still not getting my money)... it took me 30mins to become instantly addicted again and here I am, back playing and totally enjoying it all.  Unfortunately I have recently found out that it was EA behind the whole smurf debacle but the intervening years have lessened my resolve and I'm having too much fun to deny myself!  My addiction is back with a vengence!

One of my favourite things to do is to automate what I can.  I will spend more time trying to get a script working or understanding it than I do if I just did whatever it was.  But I can sit for hours just watching a script work.  Weird I know!  It's like watching a fire!

I would really like to learn to script but I think it is beyond this grandmother.  Every time I try it is just overwhelming.  So instead, I try scripts and try to understand what they are doing.

I have noticed a lot of old timers seem to be wandering back... I am so glad I did!  I look forward to this little community... it seems a friendly one and I hope to be a member of it soon!
