Can anyone explain to me a VM? Setup.

Well there is something I want to do here and for this I either need an extra PC, or a VM.

Can someone walk me through the setup of a VM?  Unless I absolutely have to install a second OS, I have no problem using my current setup.  I just need a VM so my mouse isint being used and moved.

LOL! There you go.

Virtualization will give you a TON more flexibility if you ever do want to give it a try. If you're feeling a little intimidated by VMWare Server you should give MS Virtual PC a shot, it's a little more straightforward to setup and manage at the slight loss of a little performance. I'd be happy to walk you through setting it up, or at least get you started in the right direction.

Nothing like having multiple machines running on your PC at the same time in different windows or monitors; ALT+TAB > Fast User Switching!

Coragin, just DOWNLOAD ONE, it's so easy to do and use, you'll wonder why you never did it before.  Try microsofts like he said.  It's so simple a 5 year old can do it. :)

Hope you don't mind Cor, I asked TT to move this to the appropriate forum.

So since you're not Windows 7 you want Virtual PC 2007:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=04d26402-3199-48a3-afa2-2dc0b40a73b6

Then grab the service pack:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=28c97d22-6eb8-4a09-a7f7-f6c7a1f000b5

When I have a few minutes later this morning I'll put up a tutorial

Well you can do that with any virtualization package whether VMWare or Virtual PC. Either way sounds like you're all set but I've been meaning to do that write-up anyhow so you're off the hook ;)

Well now I dont have to stop playing one account just because one is running a hw quester.

Might setup another PC just to run 4 VM's and have 2 mining and 2 lumberjacking all day lol.

Right, my point is yes you can do that with VMWare and yes, you can do that with ANY virtualization package! Thus the point of virtualization.

I run 4 machines off a single P4 2.8 Ghz with 1gig RAM with absolutely no issues. I don't pvp at the same time, this is just for afk farming. You can run more than 2 on one machine m8!
