Title: Razor, OSI AND YOU!!!
Post by: Trixta on April 01, 2012, 08:12:54 PM
So, When I came back to the game a few weeks ago, I tried to load The OSI client with Razor and poof No worky!!!!!

It kept freezing after sign in and gave various error messages (which I was to lazy to record)

After much digging and lots of Forum surfing and a little testing here is the Fix for those of you that have this issue

Step 1.  Make sure the Load Client Field is directed to the path where your Client.Exe is located,(NOT UO.EXE) For Example mine is C:\programfiles\eagames\ultimaonline\client.exe

Step 2. Make sure Patch Client Encryption box is checked

Step 3. Make sure Use OSI Encryption  box is checked

Step 4. leave the UO Data Directory to Auto

Step 5. In the Server Field make sure you have  login.ultimaonline.com

Step 6.  Make sure the port is set to  7776

Step 7. PLAY UO WITH RAZOR !!!!!!!!

Step 8. (OPTIONAL) If this doesn't work PM me I'll help you figure it out !!!!!!!  (:

Shout out to Khameleon for checking my work !!!  Not a script but I hope it helps!!!!!!!!!!!

HE WHO DANCES WITH RAZOR HAS A CLEANER SHAVE!

Might be, However a lot of Old vets are returning and from all the digging I had did, the last time it was talked about was in 2010.
Either way its up to date now and even if it helps one person, that's one more then it helped by not being posted :P

Yes, Thank you Trix... I think I'm about to Highjack this thread and ask this question..
Is there a way to fix the delay when using the dress/undress feature? its trying to dress and undress my character to fast missing half of the suit I have to hit the macro a few times before my character is completely dressed.

In the Object delay box change it to like 700-1000  I think default is 600    I use 850, If it is equipping to slow Lower it, If you get the message "You must wait" or something similar,or it is not equipping everything then Raise it.

At some point you will find your sweet spot and the entire suit will equip. Remember the more items you save to your Dress macro the longer it will take I have 16 items and it takes aprox. 29 secs.

Just a few tweaks and you will find the Sweet spot (:

Let me know what you end up setting it at I am curious.

Wanted to point out that openeuo can equip everything at once with the UO.Equip() command.  Haven't used it in a while however pretty sure it was substantially quicker than moving items individually.  There are some caveats detailed here:

I don't think it works anymore. I can't bring up my characters. It just stays on connecting.

HOW-TO: Connect to OSI servers with Razor fron RUNUO
Pre-Reqs: First, you must have Razor Beta 14 or higher.

Steps:
1) Start Razor.

2) The welcome screen should appear. IF IT DOES NOT: Wait for Razor to finish loading, on the "General" tab, check "show welcome screen when razor starts" close razor and re-open it. THe welcome screen will appear

3) Select your options as normal for the client and data directory. For the Server, you should enter "login.ultimaonline.com" and for the port "7776". You should only need to enter this server information once. After that, you can leave it on "Use Last", or if you connect to a different server, you can find logio.owo.com on the drop down list again. Do not use the "Electronic Arts/EA Games" option, it does not work.

4) Under Client options you MUST uncheck "Patch client encryption" When you uncheck this box, the box below it will become active.

5) Check the new box called "Use OSI Encryption"

6) Push okay. The client will start and you should be able to connect to OSI servers with Razor.

7) If you wish these settings to be the default, click the "Make these settings default" button on the welcome screen.

Still works my friend, however there is a double patch.

Please make sure your client is up to date, also be sure your client.exe path is correct as well as your Uo directory path.

If you have issues PM me I'll walk you through it in real time.

On a side note, a lot of folks have moved on to UO Steam, just a heads up.

I thought UO Steam was a dead project now? Didn't the authors abandon it without sharing the code?

UOS breaks once they update the packet protocol, not the normal clientpatch

EUO,OEUO => Memory Handling
Razor, UOSteam,Stealth => Packet Handling

means euo and oeuo must be updated whenever ea updates, all else only when protocol change
