C2'S Fish Fry & Enchanted Item Maker
Supports:
-Both tinker and non tinker
-Trains Cooking to any level you desire
-Crafts enchanted apples, Grapes of Wrath, wood pulp and Smoke Bombs
-Has skill menu to show gains with pause and exit
-Has crafting menu to show how many crafted so far.
-Does not auto hide you but will not unhide you if u hide first
Directions/Needs:
1-raw fish steaks to train cooking - no plans to add meats.
2-a secure bag locked down with supplies- ingots and kits/ skillets if non tinker plus all items for crafting if you choose.
3-a bag in the secure to place finished items
4- get rid of all excess weight in you backpack for best performance

So i went from 0-100 cooking with no problems at all. (100 tinkering)
Statistics using version 1.3b:
Time used from 0-100: 16 hours
Fish steaks used: 19583
Fish steaks cooked: 2606
Ingots used: 470
C2 (Using version 1.3d)- 70 k raw fish steaks with turbo mode that uses Twinkle McNugget's skill chart for a super speed up in training time

2/23/09 adjusted how script counts and handles enchanted food that stacks! Big speed increase!
4/25/09 added smoke bombs
9/29/09 added gump changes
11/16/09 added wood pulp
3/29/09 fixed gump changes in publish
4/10/11 added a new skill table and reduced a wait to increase overall speed
4/11 tweaked drag error created by new table at very high amounts of cooked fish
tinkers skillets or make a bag full of them and lock it down as a secure
Uses raw fish to train with && Be near a oven to cook fish
secure bag has raw fish, ingots if tinkering, and skillets if not tinkering. All on top level.
No oven needed to create the special items!
takes 15-20k on avg depending on where u start off to GM
enchanted apples use apples and greater heal pots
enchanted grapes use strength pots and grapes
smoke bombs use bags of floor and eggs. (buy eggs from farmer and flour sacks from cook) buy a lot of flour but they get multi uses a bag.
wood pulp needs water pitcher (at least one) and then a water source (trough) and then a heat source (oven, or forge)
** there is an endless water pitcher trick with waves but I need to find more info.

ok im at like 90+ cooking all i really wanted to get to just so i can make egg bombs ive used about 10k raw fish the script runs really well i couldnt find any bugs with it and it didnt take to long to get to where im at with it i only turned it on for a few hours at a time and it took 2 days to train it up so im guessing it would only be like 10-15 hours to get to gm all i can say is keep up the good work c2!!

huh.. I didn't know you could make Bombs with Cooking.... I always have done it with my Alchy.. um.. Whats the chance to make bombs with a cook? let me tell you it sucks with Alchy like 40 or 50% chance I think.

It is higher to make with cooking but not a ton. need a big cooking bonus tali for smoke bombs! exceptional bonus in not important.
BTW Smoke bombs have been added!!! :D

I was lucky enough to get a Treatise Alchemy bonus 30% (Thank you Beetle Jacker) even then I still have around 50% chance. also I think it maybe a programming error, but when you pull up the chance menu it is the only item that has an exceptional bonus which is like 7% I've yet to see one be made exceptional

my cooking was at 85 so i decided to finish it off last night. Script worked great except for one thing, it wouldn't take my cooked fish steaks and place them in the bag. I eventually went over weight and stalled out. The first time i moved them my self and restarted. It happened again right before I gm'd coooking. Just thought I would let you know.

This hasn't been an issue before as it reads your weight in the easy uo variables. I have a feeling your satatus bar may not of been pulled which leaves all the variables in UO as N/A and weight checks don't work. See if that was the issue.

I think i will add a status bar puller. I just don't like to pull it and cover parts of the screen. I will just move it to a corner or something.

Hey ^^ Been using your script to craft enchanted apples and I've noticed it moves each apple after crafting. Just wanted to know if this was intentional because your potion maker doesn't do this with it crafting 50 at a time which does save loads of time.
P.S. It also recognises tribal berries as apples to be crafted...

I was sure I changed that to move stacks once u were a certain weight from your max. I wonder how that got messed up. I will relook at it so it works as intended.

I just got in here and tested the script and it makes them non-stop until u are 100 stones under max then unloads them into container. You must have too much weight in your pack. unload clutter and excess weight.

100 under max weight lol oh my, sorry. My crafter has 251 max weight so yeah that would explain it *blushes*

hrm... i had to put in the weight to unload in quantities. pulling 100 combined stones for each round of apple making would trigger it too easily into making one at a time. Oh well, you could comment out the weight check or change it.

Nah it's fine. It's not my full time crafter, more of a skill training char. I haven't even finished getting it to GM yet.

I think i have wood pulp up and running. haven't tested the refilling of the water pitchers but it looks like it wants to work correctly. Leave feedback if you get to give it a try. I hope i didn't break any other areas. :P
You need a water source to refill from, a heat source (oven/forge/ etc) and a water pitcher (at least one but will do mulitiples

I have been running this for 2 days now making pulp and there are no problems what so ever. It gets water like a charm when I run out.
Now I just got to found or attempt to make a script that pulls the pulp and makes blanks scrolls

Lol kinda but I dont want to get off topic but I have read just about everything out there and look at scripts and still cant grasp how to write a script.
The only thing I seem to be good at is testing the hell out of scripts. Like this one I had extra pitchers of water in my secure so I add 2 when the script was running and it used them the very next cycle.

I try to acct for variables users might mix in there. It uses all full then fills all and uses all them to. if the pitchers stay full like the never ending ones, the script handles that too. Anyways, thx for trying and reporting back. Very irritating when something is asked for and no one reports out; so thx!

Working great dude, gone from 33.3 to 69.7 Cooking so far on roughly 2k fish steaks.
I added itemtypes for rolling pins and sifters. Since I'm not doing this on a char with Tinkering it just simply makes it easier when I buy up tools at the NPC to be able to buy more than skillets.

One thought, if you're ever in the market for thoughts from 12x, I started switching to using a "gosub pause" instead of "halt" in my scripts for when you run out of item x (ie, skillets) so that way you can hit up a vendor or whatever and get right back to it with a Resume once you load back up. This way you don't lose your stats, etc everytime you have to restock. Been working out nicely!
I'm building this cook so that I can make wood pulp so I'm looking forward to giving that a whirl as well.

C2, I used this to GM Cooking, worked great. I tried making smoke bombs and it didn't seem to work. I also noticed that cooking smoke bombs don't seem to stack, which blows. Alchemy bombs do stack.

Weird... i cooked up some a couple of weeks ago and had to stop because of the no stacking. What part was not working? This script uses cooking to make egg bombs, not sure why they do not stack. My potion factory makes smokebombs

Not sure why the script was not working, but since they don't stack its really not worth figuring out.

OK, so using this script from 30.0 to 100.0 took 17.3 hours, used 2531 ingots, used up 18459 fish steaks with 16090 fish steaks cooked. Awesome!!

few hundred thousand items made and going strong, any issues i've had have all been user error not script, excelent work

Used this to 100 the skill from 32. I changed the way the waits were to speed this up by a huge factor and gmed in hours. Would be VERY nice if you had 2 gain options. One option for the slow way of fish by fish, which you have, and the other option of cooking stacks of fish to speed up skill gain. I manually edited the number as I got to certain skill levels and gmed fishing in about 5 hours from 32 skill using this. All in all not bad. Thanks.

Yeah, that is a good idea. I got your PM on reducing the waits for exevent drag drops or fully removing them and like the suggestion of just adding in another option for a turbo mode for users with an insanely stable and fast connection. I would not change them without having an option because it would cause script issues and some crashes. With the option folks would understand that it was system dependant but still be able to pick the more stable. I always write for the public which means what works on my system does not always work on others. I am glad you found success with a turbo mode per say. I will revisit this soon and see if that is a good option for a littel check box on the menu or something. :D

Was looking through all my guys and noticed I had never made and stoned a cook....found this little gem and wah-la went from 0.0 to 100. in just under 17 hours. Thanks C2, can always count on your scripts to smoke!!

I GM'd Cooking awhile back without this script and many of the other odd ball skills there is no way I would have accomplished it.
I was actually going to go look for a smokebomb creator script today. I had completely forgot about this gem. That it actually creates the stuff and getting GM Cooking is just a side benefit! 8)

this does teh egg bombs that do not stack but if you have an alchemist the potion maker makes smoke bombs that stack. Kham added that to the potion factory

I know Twinkle McNugget sped this up for his own training with a lot of success. I have teh waits I have in there so it works for everyone. depending ont eh comp and connection, you could certainly tweak waittimes for personal use.

I trained a few cooks on a few shards and finally broke down and figured out the exact info to code to pull the correct amount of steaks to cook. Feel free to add it as an option. Using it as is makes it only usefull for a trainer tho I think... So you'd have to change it to suit your needs. By changing your waits and using this code, gming a cook takes about 5 hours if you have all the resources to start. heh

what, what , what!!! I never heard of this technique. i heard long ago that you got a chance for each steak when doing a stack but had no idea that this strategy would decrease the total training time that much. I will have to look into this. thank you for sharing this helpful info. when i get the changes in I will make sure to mention your input in credits for sure. did you find that it greatly increased the overall amount of fish steaks used by chance?

omg this works. Was using the script as of this morning to train cooking, great job btw! I was at 97.5 when I read the last couple posts in this thread seems to have picked up considerably. should be done in about an hour.

made updates to skill trainer. It now uses Twinkle McNugget's Suggested Skill Trainer Chart and has a reduced a wait timer for skill training also suggested by Twinkle McNugget.

I am not going there with my trainers but if someone wants to add pal's subs I would be willing to keep it posted up. I just don't play that shards so testing and maintaining is out.

With all the new found power and skill scrolls from the IDOC rush I realized I needed a few scroll binders and seemed to need wood pulp to make them. Bought up 30 cook skill to start and your script did the rest. Worked smooth and flawless. 5k ribs got me close to 90 which was more then enough to get me the wood pulp I needed. Thanks for the public script!

Just a shout to say thanks for this script. Works very smoothly. Only issue I had was my own fault... I didn't understand the set-up directions and had 2 separate bags. Just for clarification for other folks like me , everything has to be in one bag (fishsteaks/skillets/empty bag for cooked). I have gm'd a few cooks with stacked fish and was quite suprised at the speed this script got me finished. Having a handful of alacrity scrolls didn't hurt either. :)

fyi it used about 75k in fish steaks.

Just wanted to say that this still trains cooking quite well!
I figured that since it was so dated, it probably wouldn't work... but it does.
The only issue I had was that the instructions say that the pans need to be in the bag of resources, however it only worked if they were in my backpack.
This is on ABCUO, a freeshard in case that changes things for those interested.

Freeshard or EA? Won't move any items or only specific items? The reason I am asking is that I used this about a year ago and it worked great. I don't remember any changes to EA shards that would break it. Maybe we can figure out what it going on.

ok just tried the scrip and now having a problem with
when I make 400 enchanted apples and get to 400
I am over weight it won't move the apples the chest.

*NEVERMIND. I'm a moron, was using two instances of EUO, evidently that dont work. Just run 2 scripts for two characters from one instance of EUO. (I forgot you could do that. /bonk me*
C2, if you're still here. Or anyone if my old friend is not. I'm having an issue...
Hit play...
Menu window opens, looks fine, choose cooking, hit Play/Go...
This is where the problem is...
Where it should run to sub to target secure (right here is the issue) open a target, click secure, then target bag in secure...
Target never shows up (where 'right here is the issue') it freezes UO and I have to force close, note: it does not even ask to target secure or a target on cursor, just freezes where that sub is supposed to run...
Or, it could be freezing at 'gosub getvalues', as that comes before targeting secure, Im not sure. But I dont understand why its freezing UO client there. Trying to remember my knowledge from 10 years past is not coming back all that fast.
Attempted with UO running classic Razor, UO running Razor Enhanced and running UO client.exe by itself. Also this is on Official EA production Shard.
Have Polar Bear Skin backpack, though I do not think that should matter.
Thats all the info I have.
Any help is appreciated.
