Computer Rigs / Re: PC is fubar'd

Are the switches, by chance connected too a small circuit board? If so i'ld recomend metering the switches if you know how. The area of impact is usually where the problem is found, if not that, did it fall or was it just a hard hit that jostled the chasis?

Have you checked to see if it jamed the switch in the on position?  Most are momentary switches and if stuck could cause this problem.

if you have a chance look at man whore's lumberjacker on easyuo's page. he has a position change sub that waits for you to port before continuing.

i wish i could pvp and i am working on getting better at it, and yes that is one reason why, plus i use a modified version of bm's auto looter when fishing to search containers and such. I dump all the chests after using rk's ultra organizer to take the usual stuff (gold, jewels, regs., etc). then scan the bag for goodies. I do, however, know i miss some good items doing this as i have the eval set real high (usually 35 or 40) when doing this, and the jewelery usually dosent hit on this setting.

I really like this looter, however it doesent search sub containers which is annoying when searching a corpse for cursed items.  I do like the ability to set the specific property's to search. But I do think it realy needs the sub container search ability. keep up the good work TM.

So i finally got a chance to run your quester, very nice script dude. I am currently adding my login subs for those days when i don't care about jail. I did run into a problem with the claw version, bogged my system way down, ended up usin non claw version till i get a chance to look into what was causing this. Bank support was a breeze to add. I might try adding a packy in as well.  thanks for your hard work , and thanxs for the public release of this oh so fine script.

yea since it has changed to a chat session, I was thinking its should be as simple as scan journal for "session opened" in journalwith a looping beep for an alarm. my old one did a looping beep, would try to carry on a conversation, i made it sound like a 6 year old ( lol it was funny the couple of times i got paged on and had that conversation running)was playing for dad while he was in bathroom. or it would auto log out like a lost connection.  If you need a beta i would love to volunteer. though i only have the 1 acct.

i hate to go there but i will. Do you know what corporation and who owns that corporation bought zone alarm a few years ago, and did you know that since they were boughtout, the sofware started calling home and checking in. I read it in wired a while back.  care to take a guess???

I've always thought that you should only have the 5 or 6 or 7 character slots or how many you wanted to purchase. then allow anyone to use any moongate to port to other shards, or use special gates to run between shards. just a thought of which i have a lot. Imagine a war between atlantic and pacific, or chessy and LS, now that could be fun.

bummer,

any idea if the chat system is new, or if the old method of journal scanning for gm's is the only way of looking for them.

TIA

Scripting Chat / Does any know of a GM detection routine??
« on: November 05, 2008, 09:45:02 PM »
Does anyone know of a GM detection routine? I use to have one that I found on AC but since Luth did the big wipe it's no longer there. And since one poped up on me (fortunately i was paying attention) not to long ago its high on my list of things to do. However they seem to have changed checking methods, they didn't spam me (like they use to, and opened up a (GM CHAT SESSION???). Any help would be appreciated.
