I think you need to have another sub script that's called when people hit the "Problems" button on the quester.

It could open a menu with stuff to fill out... like

Operating System
Resolution
Windowed/Full Screen
OSI/Free Shard
etc....

Then they hit submit and it formats everything into a nice text window that they can cut/paste here when they have problems.

Or we could ask the same questions over and over LOL.

sorry i dont mean to be a pain im new at this and just trying to get it to work.

my comp is vista
resultion i think is 1152 by 864
i have tried both full and windowed.
i think i run osi

idk what else could be the problem myfriend runs his perfect and we ran my account on his comp and it ran fine. then he sent me the scripts and it stil doesnt work

Sorry, you're on your own there.  You just have to find out what video interface you have and then contact them to see if there's new ones.

Good luck with that.  Every once in a while we find someone who has a setup where the script simply doesn't work.  If you do find the problem, please let us know so that others might be able to benefit from your findings.

Dwallace my hunch is that your problem lies with your UO settings. The Alt-O settings that is. Try messing with them.  I run 640x480 on both those option when running the Quester.

Also did you read my post about clicking on the screen as it's toggling through the quests? Did you try that?

Keep at it! I had similiar troubles my first few times try to set up the Quester.  I know if you must want to run it pretty bad when your re-installing the game client. I've been there the Quester is one of the greatest if not thee greatest Script ever released to the public...the 'Holy Grail' of scripts if you will. So keep at it and adjust your UO settings and I think you'll be able to get it working. The time you spend trying to get the Quester working for you will be well worth it.
