This set of routines helps you manage your appearance with the thieves disguise kit. The included example code also will allow you to setup a timed event that will change your appearance when the timer expires. The following example will change your appearance every 10 seconds:

It shouldn't, but you might want to try anyhow. I adjust the #LOBJECTID value, but I restore it when I'm done. Hopefully that will make it work ok. The best way to make sure it won't mess up your script is to incorporate it into a script instead of letting it run in another tab. What I'd do is just copy the subs into your script and then just putting the gosub TM_PeriodicDisguise in your main loop somewhere. In the setup section, just put the gosub TM_PeriodicDisguise 3600 in your setup section when you first run your script. That will cause a disguise change every 3600 seconds (1 hour).

Sorry I apolgoise and I am still learning. I did test it you were right it needs to be run as a sub into the script...... Here is the mining script created by 12TimesOver. Where can I add it in the script so everytime he drop's the ore off at the bank he changes his disguise? Or as you were saying does every 3600 or 1800 seconds but doesnt screw it up. I am still new at this not exactly sure where to add what..... Please help sir.

I think the sub is called dropnstock for banking in that script if i remember right. Just do a search for it and add it into the top of that sub and you should be good to go. I think I'm going to add this into my mining script! But first to get into the thieves guild ;x

Sorry about that, Link is posted... Let me know what you can do. If it can use the disguise kit right from the bank box after it puts the ore away that would probably work best. Then continue on gateing or recalling to the next location. Thanks again sir I appreciate all the help.

Really this is a great little way to start learning how to script. It's a really easy integration, but something that needs time to test. Since I can't tell you when I'd have time to fiddle with this, I'd recommend you give it a whirl, and post your questions about it here. At the moment, I'm working on 2 other scripting projects and doing some major re-writing of SUO.

First:
I'm not being evasive; but when I script, I generally run something 100s of times and slowly debug things as I go. The only way you'll know it really works is just to try it.
On thing you'll find when you script is that you spend probably 10% of your time actually scripting, and 95% of your time debugging (math error intentional....)

Please check with 12X to make sure it's ok to re-post his code. It's not good form here to post the work of other without their permission..
Third:
In order to wrap your posted code, you need code tags. For that you wrap the posted code with {code] and {/code] (replace "{" with "[")

Actually what you've done should be close. You need to move line 1021 up to where the script first starts.
gosub TM_PeriodicDisguise 1200
That will initialize the sub to run every 20 minutes.

Do I just remove the timer to let it repeat whenever it drops the loot off?

Hi TM,
I tried your SUB today ... and had trouble ...
is it broken by any change of the client .. or is it me ?
Here is what I have done ...
gosub TM_PeriodicDisguise 180 in the settings area to setup the timer for 3 minutes
later in the script I call every cycle
gosub TM_PeriodicDisguise
All I get is an open Gump every 3 minutes of the Disguise Kit
and I have to click it manually ...

It's working for me right now, but I'm using the older client 6.0.12.3 and EUO v147.

I just updated my client to 6.0.13.0 and EUO v148. It's still working for me.
Did you try and run the test code at the top of the script? That's all I'm doing right now to see the disguise change every 10 seconds. You might give that a whirl with the basic download.
I'm not running UOA/Razor at the moment and I'm using my Windows 7 box.
Edit:
I just tried it with Razor also running and it still works. I'm not sure what's going on with your setup... Oddness.

Some info...
The script doesn't function for ELF characters bc the disguise kit gump is different size than for a human character... (Easily corrected) The number of hair options for an Elf is also different...
I've fixxed it for myself but I'm sure if TM gets some time... his solution will be more elegant.. Anyway just letting people know if they are having probs.
Also.. the corret phrase for joining the theives guild is
NPC-Name Join
Example the Theif Guildmaster's name is John then I would say
"John Join" and do this while standing RIGHT NEXT TO the guildmaster.. He will tell you it's 500 gp cost.
To buy a disguise kit simply stand next to the theif guildmaster and say "Disguise" and you will be told it's 700gp.

Something to consider when joining the thieves guild - being a member will allow you to steal from players, but it also means that you won't be able to give murder counts to anyone that kills you.

This probably tmi but my wife pointed out to me that even with our bedroom curtains closed when i get out of the shower & gor for boxers / socks in my dresser the only thing you can see through the gap at the end of curtain is crack... This is really only funny when you realize she was talking our dog out off the deck which is basically right next where my neighbor sits & drinks his coffee in the morning..... :-\

This is really only funny when you realize she was talking our dog out off the deck which is basically right next where my neighbor sits & drinks his coffee in the morning..... :-\
While we're at TMI, since I've been in the same place for 15 years now, my neighbours completely told me that I "should" close my blinds.. They were kinda insistent on it. lol.
