I am a big Matrix fan and named all my characters of one account after a character from the movie. When I played UO using my brothers house to get started, I met a guy in game with the black modified orc bows. He described them to me and how they worked. That was the first time I came across the word superslayer. I always thought that if the Wachowski brothers (sister) made another matrix movie, SuperSlayer would be a good character name! Of course the character would be a bad guy and crack/exploit the system. I adopted the name for my UO exploitations and kept it for all UO related stuff outside of my alter-ego on the stratics forums where I play nicely and make cash by being a trusted trader and member of the Rares community.

Matrix 4 & 5 possibility!

Ya, the G55 was just on sale over the weekend for 5 less dollars and I couldn't pull the trigger, they all have what I'd want, but each lack one thing the other(s) has/have. I do take into account user feedback, and that alone can be difficult.

Computer Rigs / New Rig, MB decisions ... ug

Hey all. I'm building a new rig that will primarily be used for a work machine, not gaming. I'd like it to be as 'future proof' as possible, but also do not need many of the perks associated with 'power-house' machines. My motherboard budget allows for a maximum of $110 including any taxes and/or shipping price. Discounts are good if they bring the price below the 110 mark, and here are a few requirements.

  • USB 3.0*
  • 1 PCI-E 2.0
  • AMD3 Socket/Phenom II for a Calisto 955
  • No onboard video
  • 1333 compatible memory
  • 1 Pata
  • Core Unlocking ability
  • ATX
  • Sata 6gb*

* at least 1 if possible

At the moment, I have the CPU, one stick of memory, the hard drive and a hand me down GPU

Memory : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231310
CPU : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103846

I shop only on newegg for computer parts and am torn on a selection of 3 of them:

ASUS : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131656
MSI : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130275

Any input anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, that makes sense. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why people would donate cars of all things to the blind. It's bad enough that when I drive to the drive-through ATM machine, there's braille on the number pads!

I listen to Sirius/XM satellite radio and hear commercials for the blind heritage donation site. This baffles me because what they are accepting are boats, cars, RV's etc.  Really?

Maybe I'm the blind one here but, what will donating a vehicle to a blind organization do for those who can't see?

I'm gonna set it up on 4 computers and 7 monitors tonight and I'll let ya know. :)  I wonder if I can get it to control the tv too... I don't see why not. :)  Fun!

I'll be around tonight to assist if need be. You'll need to set you computer with the keyboard/mouse as the master, and the others as slaves.

Then this is what you want. Input Director. With Input Director, you can control several Windows computers with one keyboard and one mouse without the need for a KVM! This works by communicating over your local home network to the networked machines, allowing you to smoothly move your mouse and keyboard commands to the desired machine seamlessly and without lag issues. Simply slide your cursor off screen, and voila! you're on the other machine(s) issuing commands from the same keyboard and mouse you started with.

I use this program at work where we have 6 computers all networked, each with 2 monitors attached to them, and Input Director works like a champ.

Have a Windows machine and a MAC? or Ubuntu or Linux that you'd like to rid the keyboard and mouse of? Then use this cross-platform alternative !

Thank you all for your replies, it means a whole lot to me. I do have 2 other accounts that are 'turned off' at the moment, perhaps i'll put a few things in there, good idea TT!

Checking out the weird things in UO was always my favorite things to do, my house is loaded with odd things that either helped to create oddities, or were the result of them..lots of memories with them.

I do hope to get a few handfuls of cash for my accounts, they don't have all the cool 133t stuff, but plenty of goodies and rares to make some gold off of..and who knows, I very well may come back in a few years as many of you have.

Twinkle McNugget...what can I say, you've got a dry humor about you that only the demented and criminally insane can fully appreciate and understand. I like it!

Since I've started my new job, I've accumulated so many napkin notes, I'm regularly asked to restock the containers that I've emptied...literally, it's insane but incredibly worth it. I'd actually blame my job for me leaving UO as it requires a work at home mentality, and 24/7 availability.  It's still the best job I've ever had, and wouldn't trade it for anything.

12x..I wonder that too, hmm...indeed.

...for me to say goodbye to UO. I've spent nearly 10 aggravating years clamoring to acquire the goods, skills, items and gold that all who enter this world yearn to hold. Admit-tingly, I haven't come close to seeing many of my desires come to be, and while that may seem enough for some to call it quits, it's not the only circumstance for my departure. I simply haven't the time, and so with out the time, the desire, drive, ambition and fortitude also fade away to the bigger goals and desires in my life.

I do not anticipate coming back to the game, nor even reading about it on stratics, euo or any of my regular haunts,..with SUO being the exception. This exception is something I hold dearly, and out of great respect for it's owners, participants and regulators. I'm fully aware of the risk that was taken in elevating my status to Elite given my questionable background, so I again thank the deciding community to allow me to contribute in the ways I know how, and to learn in the same methods.

I will continue to stop by SUO and contribute when and where I can, offer insight and even a few ideas where feasible. Perhaps from time to time, share some articles of interest, or whatever.

Unfortunately, this will mean the end of any and all script I have posted, and anyone wanting to acquire them may do so given sufficient credit is followed. I am sorry for those expecting the WIT to evolve into the OEUO playground, but it just isn't worth my time anymore.

As for my accounts, I will be selling them for US cash, and only together. I have two accounts, and they go together. I do not as of yet have a list of contents, or char info to dish out, much less an asking price.

So consider this a heads up. Two accounts, one is nearly 10 years old, and another is nearly 8 (i think). Two houses, one loaded with good stuff, the other loaded with million dollar checks (seriously).

I'll post with my account details in the coming weeks, and look forward to finally shaking the UO bug.
