Still checking around for this stuff with no avail.  I could use a little boobiliciousness too!

Here's a 12 pack for under a hundred bucks!

General UO Chat / Re: What has kept you with UO?
« on: July 03, 2008, 06:43:24 PM »
Well, that was a radical thread hijacking.  ;)  But you are entitled in this case. I'm not sure what gC's excuse is.  heh.

I know, but I kept it UO related too.  You and 12x had already said what has kept you in, that's why the response was ok, but, GC, tsk tsk, can't jump on that hijack until we hear what keeps gc in UO

Well, the music of course :)

I do not play very much anymore, but I still have 3 accounts active. It is funny where I am in life now, compared to where I was when I first started playing. Lot of good memories with UO (like others have stated).

I also like the never ending bullshit story line that EA keeps adding to. Most of it is silly and drawn out, but I still love it nonetheless :)

Beer / Re: Shiner Black

Oh, and TM, not to leave the love out for you, my other favorite beer is from Stone Brewery, located in Escondido :)

Funny thing too is the Stone Brewery is about 2 blocks away from my house.  I used to mountain bike all over that area, but now there's a power station, hospital and most importantly a brewery there.

Next time I'm out that way, I'm scooping you up and we're gonna hit that place. I figure we could spend a few hours there until they kick us out and ban us for life. It will be legendary like an old Sex Pistols party crash.

Wine & Spirits / Re: 2 buck Chuck (Shiraz), should you do it?

I started trying the cheaper ones a while back due to a bad run-in with a really expensive bottle. That thing was hidious (hmm, and I can't remember now what it was - many have been an old Penfold).  Anyhow, after that started to wonder if the expensive ones could be crappy, why not have the cheap ones be good.

I live within SKUD missle range of Temicula, and have done the winery taste testing crawl a few times now.  There are some good "cheap" local wines.  Not as cheap as I would like, but nothing like the $200/bottle junk you mention.

Yeah, it is scary buying expensive wine. You definitely want to know what you're getting yourself into. Then there's the chance it has turned to vinegar if you're dealing with a vintage.

Computer Rigs / Re: All my computers running at the moment.

Oh and with all these computers, the only one I have Trillian on died last night.  So if anyone was trying to ICQ me, you are presently being ignored.  ;)  I have to make a Fry's run for a new power supply today.

Trillian died because ICQ did something to make a lot of 3rd party clients incompatible. I've got a better client for you:

Beer / Re: Shiner Black

Not sure how much Shiner Bock, and the family of Shiner beers are distributed across the US. The beers themselves come from a place that's about 1 1/2 hours away from me, so of course, there's Shiner Bock, Hefeweizen, Blonde.. and one very tasty Shiner Black. A Black Bavarian Ale is how I believe it's classified, very nice flavors in it. And TM, if you like that other german one, you may actually like this as well. No it is not a stout, so it doesn't taste like guiness or other stouts with that rich coffee/creamy taste.

Based on one of your other posts, I think I can safely deduce that your'e from TX (go Texas! #1) :)

Your beer of choice shoudl be Zeiganbach :) Best Texas beer ever :)

I'm not sure if my inexperience wine taste thinks this is a good Merlot at a decent price ($10), but I enjoy the flavors in it. Not as much of a wine buff as I am a beer buff, but, my family likes this wine. It may be because it also has a history. There's a Renessiance Festival every year outside of Houston, goes on for about 5 weekends. This Vampire line was one that this little wine shop sells. We got a bottle the first time ($22 at freakin festival) and my mom, brother and I enjoyed it. The next year we may of had 2 bottles of it and my mom bought 5 more bottles before two weeks later finding it for $10 bucks a bottle)

I drink it from time to time. And i know all about the TexRenFest :) I was going every year until I moved out of Houston. Our usual tradition was to:
 * Arrive
 * Buy a commemorative goblet
 * Find the nearest vendor selling mead
 * Get chilled mead, pour into goblet
 * drink
 * rinse and repeat

The last time we went, we stumbled upon a mead tasting booth. By then we were 9 sheets to the wind, and spent a little time in there. The wives were outside giving us all the stink eye because the little wench behind the counter was boisterous and boobilicious.

Ok, when you make it rich, go pick up an estate bottle of Quintessa (Cabernet). It goes for about 550 bucks for the magnum sized bottle in nice restaurants, so you should be able to order a normal size (.750 litre) online or from a local vendor for around 200 or a little less.

Best wine I ever drank.

Not to bring the mood down or anything. But, well, as I mentioned earlier, my lil bro got me into this game. He's 6 years younger then me. This game now means a bit more to me. This morning, i got a call from my dad saying my brother passed away. Last week he'd had fallen in the tube and got to big bumps on his head, there was a MRI scheduled today, he was also bi-polar on on different meds. Anyways, I just wanted a place to write a little and say, now, not sure if I can stop playing. I missed the days were we would go to orc fort, two of us with junky fencer type characters. We'd both drop an EV from a scroll and then proceed to kill the people, we took on groups of 4-8 people like this, always came out on top. He got me into pk'n and got me to where I could take on 3-4 peeps by myself. He tought someone to pvp on a shard (Ho Chi Minh - Great Lakes) and when that dude became known as a murderer (speed hacking and ran circles around people) I could still drop his speed hacking arse. So, this is to those little things that keep us playing. Here's to Pre-AOS, 1 land (before felucca/trammel) and those that got us into the game or those that keep playing it.

I'm sorry for your loss, Nicar. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Funny about the AMD stuff; I own a bunch on Intel stock.  Go figure.  lol.  In any event, AMD has now handed their lunch to Intel.  I hope their tuna sandwich was good.  ROFL.  AMD is presently a disaster, although their 2X offerings are still top notch.  Just grin and snicker at their 4X offerings.  :)

I have the same thoughts. My newest workstation/desktop is Intel based. I have q600 quad core with 4 gigs of RAM, 22" and 19" lcds. Intel, starting with the Core Duo started cleaning house. I'd like AMD to get back in the race, they were doing really good there for a while.

Off Topic / Re: Web development help (I want to learn a little more)

What I know about the topic could barely fill a thimble compared to someone like TM who does this for a living...

analog SPICE simulations and embedded firmware....

Analog is a hot bed right now. SPICE - We have our own implementation. Actually, we forked off our own implementation of it back in the early 80's I think (or the 70's?) - TISPICE.

Javascript is failz!  It is usually very buggy and some people turn it off.  However, java script is really simple and can run on like any web hosting site.  If you want something more powerful such as php you need to run your own server generally.  PHP is good though.  I use lots of java.

Javascript is what gives us the ability to implement web 2.0 features. If I really wanted to learn something useful, and maybe wanted to make some extra cash on the side, I'd learn php and javascript. Remember, we're talking about web development here.
