Impuing as a gargoyle

Does the race of a character make a difference when using the imbuing skill?
Also I have been out of the lumber jacking business for a long time now and i ran my LJ for a week straight and did not get one piece of frostwood. Is there a trick to getting frostwood now or something?

no trick to frostwood, other than luck
