Seems like it didn't gate back. You can't be surfing/using your computer during the script running process. Give it another try. To be honest, I've never run this using gating. You might be on your own in this debugging process. My crafter has 11 INT. :)

And really it's not a bug. It makes sense for the "system" to not offer you a quest you already have. It's just taking advantage of the dynamics of the game. I don't know how may people remember the random world gates based on the phases of the moon. Now you get to select where you want to go. Same principle really.
You have to locate the line that sets %label_trinket and change it to hw_newtrinket

Very impressive -- and the CLAw is really a work of art.
It runs great for me, I noticed a lot(4 one night) of people using the default rail on Atlantic. I didn't want to be one of them so I spent the time to make a new rail. I am sure anyone who spends the time making making a new rail will figure out you still need to end up within dumping distance of the trash can(I think its 3 tiles or less). The only problems I have had was when my runes got blocked, by someone camping at the heartwood gate, or getting killed by the invasion spawn. I played around with the lethal dart quest but it is on a timer of about 2 mins unless you do any other heartwood quest.

Perhaps I don't fully understand where your failure is occurring. You first mentioned "i just gate a rail failure error soon as he gates to heardwood" which leads me to believe your error is occurring outside Heartwood prior to taking the gate in.
Now you say "what does my landing spot have to do with it?" and you mention the regular rail works fine. Well it is a different rail, so it might need a different landing spot to begin.
Again, please just answer this simple question.... You recall to the Heartwood gate, and what happens? Do you actually move to the Heartwood entrance gate and go down to heartwood? Or does it just freeze up at your landing spot?
BTW, it's impossible to know tones in posts, but this statement "What does my landing spot have to do with it?" kind of strikes me as an abusive tone. Is it?

Well, there's on big problem. It still should work for you, though. the original additional rail I posted was the wrong one. I just can't imagine that anyone didn't let me know about that. It works, but doesn't take you down to the other area. This posted one is better because it doesn't require you to be south of the "sparkle".

make you section starting at line 93 look like what i posted. you will be changing 2 lines. best is just to past over the same section with what i posted.

Is there any object around you that's named "trinket arborist"? I don't think so. I don't think there's anything with that in the title anywhere....
Remember that

Meaning The Vendor Type should be set to Ciala The Arborist ?
Again it comes down to what you want to do with the script. And that you really need to understand what the subroutine findvendor is doing. Here's another hint....
The script is setup to look for *2* different kinds of venders(arguments separated by "$" in the variable %vendortype), Trinket weavers AND arborists. What happens if you only want to look for one type?
Again, this is all in the code, there's no magic in what findvendor is doing.
But really this sub can be used to locate anything with a specific text. You just have to specify the text correctly. And for that you have to understand how strings are "strung" together in EasyUO.
I'm sorry this is painful for you, but it's pretty important for you to know how these work. When that happens you can learn how to do these yourself, and perhaps help me answer all these questions in the future. ;)
Have you tried to transfer the quests to the other one? That just might be easier..
It gets stuck on the crossbow quest and I click on the 'close' repeatedly and it won't close, so I endup having to kill the client.
Another question, off topic of that though. When my character recals from home to the heartwood, is there a way i can set up the script so they don't mount the beetle? Found that it was just not working (1600 +character weight)

I can usually figure things out, but this time, there wasn't enough hints on this forum (that I could find anyway...) to solve my only problem. And that's dumping loot into the bank secure. Setup? You have to ensure the secure at your house is visible wherever you recal to.
You might run through your setup again just to make sure you have secure and storage set right.

Easiest to just look at the 1.24 quester. If you look at the CLAw thread, you'll see the interface commands posted as a separate file. I'd use the 1.24 quester as gospel though.

I probably won't even fix that. In fact, I'll probably remove it completely since it's not really a skill intensity. No sense in having one exception impacting the performance of every other search.
FIX IT! Don't remove it cause I DO actually find things that are nice. Just get -25 and -27 items too. :)
I don't believe this is supported for Free shards since so many of them have been altered in some way in order for this script to be fubar. the crafting menu has been changed on production shards so that is the reason you probbaly can only get the older version to be changed. as far as your character not reaching the gate, you'd have to look to see if they moved the gate in a different position then osi shards and change the move x y cords....
Just kinda curious as to why only a select few ever mention the full version.
I may have to add the "dont be a douche" rule to the list! ROFL.
Anyhow, there's plenty of Elites that don't do much script authoring, but they do contribute in other ways like general UO information, walk-thrus or just generally personable and helpful folk.

I can post the previous version of this script that doesn't require the new OSI crafting menu. I think that was version 1.24.
That would be fantastic TM. I hate to keep troubling you but this is by far the best script I've ever used and I've been even more pleased with it after being able to get it to recall to and from Heartwood. You'd be suprised how much time is saved when your server doesnt require the rails.

It is running fine when I do the fletching one, but I keep getting rail errors right after gating to HW while trying to use the carpentry version.
I'm running 1.27 right now to the carpentry quest. No issues..... Why are you gating anyhow?

actually tm... I think they added an option in the bugs menu, you might have to relocate the click x/y locations... every time I do it on the jacker it wants to release my bug ;P

Started using this baby the other day, just wanted to say again what a awesome script this is. I got 5 heartwood runic saws the first day, then uo went and patched!! Bleh. Waiting for euo to update to run this some more!!
Will it work without riding? Fletching and carp are both on a gargoyle character, which I can stone around, just curious.
MeWon if you've never used this you're missing out. My CLAw crafter will use archer runics to craft bows with properties you want to keep using the claws rules soon. That will make the heartwood quester pretty valuable for saving essence and crafting ingredients again.

Good afternoon/morning/evening/day
Took a couple month break from UO to play WoW and EQ2 but decided tonight I wanted to veg out in UO again. So I hopped on my crafter, fired up this awesome script which had worked flawlessly last time I played and suddenly it's not. I read back a few pages and didnt see anything on this so I apologize in advance if this has been addressed.
Starts up fine, I ran it through the setup just because there have been a few patches and I never know if ID's change. I hit start, it opens my drop box in my backpack, opens my secure, grabs a stack of wood and tries to drop it in my backpack bag instead of the beetle I'm using. Wont drop because it puts me way over weight, hops on the bug and rides off into the heartwood sunset, only to get there and realize I am without wood, runs back home and repeats.
I've let it run a few times to see if it would somehow auto correct itself but it just keeps doing the same thing. It's not opening the bugs pack at anytime throughout this either. I know about having to open it on setup but in the past it would work fine after that.
And, since it kept opening my drop bag in my backpack, I tried targeting the beetle for that but no go. Best as I can figure, it's not grabbing the beetle as the last target and instead going back to the loot bag.
Any idea how I should fix this?

Are you using a beetle, if yes, you need to pause the script, open the beetle pack and hit play again, save the setting and you should be find after. EUOX have a problem with opening beetle pack. hope that help.

Not really. I normally use "Alt-Tab" to bring the EasyUO window program to the forefront, then I pause the script with the keyboard. Takes a bit of practice, but it works.

is trying to close the runebook. I've fiddled with the numbers, and changed it to dmc, but still not having any luck with it being able to close the runebook. Any ideas? has anyone found a cause or fix for the pathfinding bug in HG 1.29? it happens to me alot. but i know other peopel using the script have no issues like this at all. basically, i will come back to my computer and see my character locked in pathfinding. either at house or in heartwood. there is no way to get out of the pathfinding without a hard shutdown of easyuo. i use my gm detector now to close it out. by sepaking "gm" but, its pretty annoying. i've tried to speed up and slow down my mouse clicks. tried resizing screen resolution. now my latest try is to turn off my run mouse in a seperate thread option in uo. can anyone make suggestions that might help fix this problem.
Well took me awhile to get it set up. The beetle pack kept not working even after I had followed the instructions for it. Finally got it to work ran it for an hour and a half and got a heartwood kit :). Awesome Awesome Script man! I do have one question though, does it save all other runic kits? not at atll complaining about getting the heartwood one lol but figured I would get other ones before a heartwood and thats the only one i got.

Just started using this....works flawless except I got some haters on my tail....(places bagballs in the way) and stands on my recall spot. So I designed my own rail (recalls into the yew tree....and walks up to the gate from there). The bagball problem I fixed with another account picking them up (reconfigured a simple reg picker). The hater has upgraded the tactics too tough....places now 200 logs into the bagballs so my picker can't move anymore. Which leads me to 2 questions:
1. I read about a quester 2.0 which allows alternate recall points...couldn't find it...probably my bad since I am busy altering the script in order to win the "Heartwood-Gate-Wars" any pointer would be very much appreciated.
2. Since the hater actually places the bag right on top of the gate and therefore blocking it from any access, simplest solution would be just to grab them and move them a tile away. Any pointers how this could be accomplished? Running my modified picker at same time as the hw-quester messes up my rail...plus I was tinking it's actually quite nice by the hater to bring me logs for my quest :) and I really would like to convert them to boards and take them along :)
3. I noticed in the travel sub there is an outgoing part of hw as well which calls up the same rail as the ingoing (running backwards), tried to modify that part into using another rail with another label but probably messed up with the %setrail function. A little pointer would be very helpful.
I am new to using scripts but with your PDF on rail-design and your other comments I got this to work fairly well. To all others (yes i read all 52 posts) CUSTOMIZE your rails!!! Nothing more stupid than 8 chars runing more or less on top of each other into HW!!! All a hater needs are 2 bagballs and your out of business :)!

- [ ] - Tamed and bonded beetle (bonded not really required, but nice when beetle dies)
- [ ] - Raw Ribs if you would like your beetle fed at the beginning of script execution.
- [ ] - Runebook with at least 3 runes marked. (Home secure, heartwood, logout) Does not support bank secure!!
- [ ] - Lootbag in your main pack. Please make sure this is a different container (big bag) than the bags dropped by the quest reward bag. You run the risk of trashing your loot otherwise.
- [ ] - Loot bag in your home secure MAIN LEVEL (when working from home secure)
- [ ] - Runebook in your main pack
- [ ] - All resources (boards, ingots, tinkering tools, carpentry tools) placed in the main level of your secure container and not in a bag.
- [ ] - Tinkering skill sufficent to make tinker tools and crafting tools
- [ ] - No tinkering?, then enough tinker tools and crafting tools in your home secure (tinker tools and joining planes, lots...)
- [ ] - KEEP UO screen uncovered. This is so the OCR can see the quest (you can still use powersaver, but do NOT use a screensaver, or coverup the UO window)
- [ ] - Rail engine requires that you not move the mouse during rail runs. Otherwise this will mess up your movement while riding a loaded beetle. Dedicate your computer to running this script by either just leaving it alone or running the UO session in a VM (virtual machine instance)
- [ ] - 32-bit video card setup, will not function at 16-bits or 8-bits.
- [ ] - Make sure you have placed all files (quester, looter, rail engine, rails, evaluator) in the same directory as your EasyUO executable. <-- Important!!
- [ ] - Do not run this quester in full screen mode or the OCR functions will not work properly.
- [ ] - Do not run UO Assist or Razor with this script!!
- [ ] - Be sure to have your rune marked SOUTH a few steps of the gate, otherwise you may accidentally enter the portal before the rail engine is ready. (thanks marina)

I ran it the other day without issues. With a script this widely used, you can imagine the input when it suddenly stops functioning.. ;)
Between line 2224 and 2225, put a "pause" command. Monitor #RESULT that's spit out from NewSampleArea. When the quest is selected, look at the value of the resulting value #RESULT. Match that to the value that's loaded into !questval. This is a way to customize it to whatever strange rig you have. heh.

That's exactly right. If the resulting numbers are different, then for some reason your rig is computing the magic number differently. Just replace either of these numbers with your result and give it a go.

The only time we saw that was when someone was having video card driver issues. I'm pretty sure you're SOL if that's the case.

Still dont understand why this will happen, I am using SOS master and s7BodFiller, i believe they are both using OCR also. If my graphic card driver is having issue. They should not work as well right? Confused.
They use Kals OCR. We don't. I just never had a computer that exhibited this issue to debug in any way. If I ever run across something that's wonky, I'd play with it.

Is their something is the CoC that said that interfering with player play or any harassment form is illegal. If you are running the quest often enough, I'm sure you can record the person putting the box their.
The use of 5 pack horses is better, since you recall/ move less. In my book anyway :)
WIth CEO Carpentry and 72K board you can have Gm Carpentry in less then 24 Hrs.

I went thru the set-up again and also checked the values by hand to see if they matched. I also noticed that the Quest was already selected, so I quit the Quest before starting the Script and it worked perfectly...

Curious as to whether anyone has modified this to work with a gargoyle that has a beetle but can't ride it? My crafter is gargoyle and I'm trying to avoid raising carpentry on another char just to do the carpenter quests.....
I've tried and tried (OSI) It just doesn't work. All files in same directory. Is it updated to the current client?
Is there a simpler script without all the recall/rail support? I can haul my own resources in, just want to save some clicking.
That's what I have is win 8.1. I do have all the files in one directory and I launch by going to the directory and usually I run as admin.
I'll dig into this more.

I fixed my previous problem, Some reason me being right next to my secure container at my house it was some how messing it up for me it wouldn't gate back to heartwood i remarked it 1 step from the secure so it was still reachable and the script went smoothly I have one suggestion though...

The people are listed beside the quest name: But If you receive these three quests then go to Ciala you will get the Arch Support quest every time, which would make this run much faster and there would be no scrolling through the quest. It would be done in 5 min instead of around 10 or so. Just my suggestion thats how my previous heartwood script works.

I have been looking at this quest now for weeks maybe even a few months. I know I am rather new to the community, And have made my introduction in the desired page and hope some have had a good laugh, But I dont know if I have still qualified to get a reply and help setting this script up properly.
I think I have all the necessary files but I seem to be getting confused on what order I should be running them, if there is an order to run them.....
Most scripts that I have tried have been rather straightforward newbie ones and easy to set up, but this one seems to be a fighter and doesnt want to give in to me. I know a tiny little bit about scripts but this one is just winning me, unless I am doing something absolutely stupid and not noticing it.
I know this is one of the most valued and cared after scripts in all the community, so I am not asking for a full detailed explanation here unless its allowed to by the admins ( Dont want to get anyone in trouble), as I know that this post is valued and not for everyone straight away to see to avoid getting it abused by wrong people, But could someone please I beg Tongue, in your time, please write a ''small up-to-date guide'' or ''guideline protocols'' to follow to make the script work and maybe send me it via Private message or write on forum if deemed correct by the admins.
I don't want to go into full detail about it in case I say something I am not supposed to, but the recall runes 1,2,3 are set up as they should be named, the secure container at the house I am guessing has to have just the fletcher tools/wood inside needed. I do have bonded betle but I am guessing a rail/setup config for it will have to be set up that I havnt got round to it yet. Just want the basics first then we can work on adding more knowledge and more info to make the system run smoother.

Does someone try to change/mod so it use the quest option items. That could save some step.
I am on osi and my laptop just got to windows 10. The beetle set up may have to be done manually?
TM. Would there be a way to input a randomize function to choose from different rail files?

TrailMyx this is a great script, it really pushed me out of my comfort zone with multiple scripts running and having to actually read the manual very well done. I hope some day to elite status as i would love to see v2. I tried both the carpentry and bowcraft and both worked very well as of May 2017.
alright im still new to this so I was wondering if there was a solution to that problem and I would go from there, but I guess ill figure it out so how and just get it going on my own

This iis not a script issue.
It is how the game is design. The house items are only loaded when you enter your house. Instead of using a box in your house, why not use a mail box, those are always available when the house items are not loaded..
It just a matter of where you lock down your secure. Anything on the step is visible.
I loaded this up today and it works great. Kudos to the scripter god. I do however have an issue that I'm not sure how to fix yet.. I have a box with my stash on the step of my keep and when the cycle in heartwood ends, it recalls me home, however the chest does not reload on my screen so the script doesn't locate my supplies. moving forward 1 step forward would reload the contents of my keep and then it would continue. Any ideas? just need to walk 1 tile forward onto the steps, but no idea where in the script to put a Move..

I love the script and it works quite neathly. The only issue is - that if I want to use Claw to evaluate the loot - the script does not move on after the first reward bag was obtained. Somehow claw seems to refuse to evaluate it. Do I have to set auto loot or anything else?

First I do appreciate that you still answer and I do understand that you are not playing uo anymore (actually why? I just returned and the game is so much fun :D) and therefore surely have better things to do.
The heartwood quester stops at line 1108 (gosub TM_LootInProgress). TMClaw does not seem to start as it still stands at line 1.
It is however initialized and marked as running, also the quester seems to recognize it when it starts up.
I have set the loot bag, nothing is checked (autoloot etc) and only claw is checked in the quester menue.

my bettle is always fatigued cause my char iss not dismounting the beetle. Does someone know what the problem is?

i think, i have found the issue.
I have changed the game play window size to 1024x768.
Now my bug walks and don´t get fatiqued.
