Couple of questions for you guys.
Does anybody know if you can aquire Tangle just by killing Navrey via the rockfall? If so, does everybody in the cave have a chance to get it, or if you are using multiple accounts should everybody party up? I like to use 3 accounts..one at each piller, but have no clue if that is giving me any better chance of getting Tangle or not...have NEVER got one to this point.
Thanks!
-
Yes, some kill Narvey with rock fall only. When she dies she is completely public and there can be tangles on her corpse. I do not believe there is any timer to loot her/let her go public in this case. As long as no one hit her, everyone has rights to loot her. You do not get assigned rights by initiating the rocks
-
Thanks C2, so in that case, partying would mean nothing! Thanks!

yep. both have rights regardless

Riddle me this then Batman. Why is it I see people disco'ing her, but yet when I try I get a "your skills aren't up to this task" yet I am 120 Music/120 Disco. ?

well, either they have an arachnid slayer instrument or a spider slayer or even perhaps an exceptional instrument works. pretty sure you need to have a slayer.
also , once you disco her. you get looting rights. that counts like damage and our prior conversation no longer works.
-
Sweet! Thanks! :)
-
you sure can. I have had 2 tangles in the past 2 weeks, I always start it with a rockfall on my sampie specially if i am solo. if there are more, the rockfall is not needed.
-
Does disco mastery help?
-
i am not sure. Never seen a disco there before
-
I've never figured out that rockfall. Can one character do it alone, or do I need to script up some minions?
-
I solo it all the time, that being said, you need all the pillars toggled at the same time, so you will need one person per pillar
-
Each pillar has a different timer, So, the trick is to figure out which pillar has the longest timer and hit it first.
-
nice. Didn't know you could do it yourself lol. That will save some time =)

Do they change dynamically, or only like once a day at (for example) server up?
Also, how many triggered rockfalls to kill Navrey?
-
server up.
I think its 3 Rockfalls to kill her. Maybe 4 at most.
-
Very interesting... Can you trigger rocks while hidden? I feel a script snippet coming on...
-
yes you can. But don't do it if navrey is nearby
dem Rocks Crush you too :P
-
Just keep your scissors away from those rocks!

Just keep your scissors away from those rocks!
Awesome.
-
Goes faster if you discord while the rocks are falling.
Be wary of intruders. If she dies due to rock damage anyone has access to the corpse. Someone could come in, hit her once or twice and get full looting rights.

Bard mastry in disco gives a 10% boost and i think there is a 5% boost for having other barding skills. So having the mastry plus a slayer lets you disco very quickly and easily.
-
Don't forget you can toggle them if you have done the quest. I like to bring a tanking samp and a secondary bard/sampire. I toggle the barb to disco special, disco and then toggle back to peacemaking and get the DCI bonus. I do this for a fair amount of tougher stuff and you can cycle it over again.

This explanation boggles me. I really need to learn about the masteries.
So, I do this:
- Disco Bard Mastery Special
- Disco Navery
- Peace Navery
- Trigger 3x Rockfalls
Is that the method?
-
What is the time limit between uses of the rocks?
-
Here's something you may find useful...
Navrey Checker
set %stone LNB
repeat
findItem %stone G_12
if #findCnt > 0 && #findCol = 0
{
display ok Cmon, Lets Do This!
wait 120s
}
wait 1
until #false
Navrey Clicker
set %stone LNB
repeat
findItem %stone G_3
if #findCnt > 0 && #findCol = 0
{
set #lobjectID #findID
set #ltargetKind 1
event macro 17
wait 5
}
wait 1
until #false
Always meant to merge those two, just never got around to it.
-
Perhaps it could run to the correct stone as well!! Just assign each one a number then all you have to do is enter the sequence and the script runs it!
-
I started on that, just got bored with it LOL.
I was running Navrey on 3 shards at the same time though.

Ya that was a bad line from me. I was actually saying you can toggle the disco mastery on your book if you are using a different mastery thus getting the better disco chance. There is a timer you have to wait through and you could then swap back to the mastery that better suits your players(peace or provo) to then get the benifit of that mastery.
This all said you would have killed the thing quickly all the same if you are just using the rocks but I use my sampires and don't care for the rocks unless I get it the first time.
-
How do i use this rockfall and when.I have never tried to get Narvey, id like too.
-
there are 3 sets of bricks that act like switch's, you can see they have a different hue in color.. they have to be triggered in a certain order, really fast... the order usually changes every day.. sometimes they change within the hour. it varies.
-
didn't read it all.
If you use my library or write your own finditem function that returns a table based on type, this script is what I use to key nav's stones.
I've been able to solo key the stones in the wrong order with this. Just go flying by on horse back within 3 tiles of stone, and it should key it. You have a bit of a longer reach with the nav stone than you normally do.
dofile(getinstalldir()..'/scripts/kalilib.lua')
UO.CliNr = clientmenu()
ruins = 959
while true do
s = FindItemOnGround('Type',ruins,4)
if #s > 0 then
if s[1]['Col'] == 0 then
UO.LObjectID = s[1]['ID']
UO.Macro(17,0)
print(s[1]['Col'])
end
end
wait(100)
end
I've pulled 5 tangles, and only one has been dropped in my back for looting rights.
