Make sure that your power sw connectors are on the proper pins on your motherboard, it sounds like it isn't wired properly.

yeah i checked all the wires/rewired/secured all the wires multiple time and nothing happened.  My motherboard doesn't have led lights and nothing lights up.  I am presuming that maybe the motherboard is shot?  I bought the mb and processor off a friend for dirt cheap.  I know he didn't even use the components for more than a month.  However, its the only thing I can think of so I will buy a new motherboard and processor.  The only other thing it could be is the power button from the case to the motherboard.  However, it does not seem like there is shorts in that wire and it is plugged in properly.

So since every1 else posted their problems I will post mine.  I was just recently building a new computer.  My co-worker who goes through computers a lot had some good parts that were spare he gave me.  I bought all the pieces I needed and hooked everything up.  I press power and nothing happens.  There was no noise or anything.  You would think the computer wasn't turned on.  So naturally I turned to the power supply and replaced it.  I just inserted the new power supply and tried to turn the computer on...Nothing happened.  So now I'm presuming it has to be the motherboard.  Is there anyway for me to verify this prior to purchasing a new mother board?  I don't have parts laying around so I don't know.  Is it possible it could be anything else?

The few times I've been screwed when putting together a computer is when I cheap out on the motherboard.  I generally stick with MSI, Biostar and a couple others.  I've been boned by the smaller manufacturers.  Probably AMD isn't the problem; you still get a pretty good bang for the buck with them.  But computer rig building is an artform.  ;)

I'm starting to realize that.  Yeah AMD is the *bleep*...I like them way better than intel.  However, he just said the brand combo w/ AMD is a bad choice.  So I guess I have to find a different mother board

So I just spent like 6 hours today trying to build a new comp.  I never built one of my own but always wanted to.  It is way too much effort for me.  Then I sent what I picked to my friend and he shot it down saying its not any good.  How do you guys know what is good and what isn't?  My friend is that guy who builds comps and upgrades comps like monthly.  Its the only thing he spends money on so I know he knows his stuff.  He said that my combo for a JetWay motherboard and an AMD processor was a horrible idea.  He said it'd work but just not smart.  I dunno why.  lol.  Oh I wish it was simple lol

Yes I am with you entirely.  I didn't even get one suit in the collection because I didn't have internet.  I have like 700k points lol.  I still have massive amounts of crap to turn in.  The thing for more storage space using lock down containers so now I need to get rid of even more stuff!  That or buy a keep?

I just like the use of pathfinding a small bit at a time then checking.  That is what i do for some of my personal scripts.  I don't see why you wouldn't do just that unless you just don't want to list that many rails.  If that is the case then I create a method that will take one location and break it down into subsections automatically.  But on those I have to account for the fact if that path cannot be walked

Scripting Chat / Re: Reliable buying
« on: September 12, 2008, 05:34:44 PM »
Hi, has anyone got a good idea on how to make a reliable buying sub (or can point me to one). I've tested quite a few and tested writing my own. The thing i have a problem with is the double click to select a particular item. Sometime this works, sometimes not, and i cant seem to figure out why. I've tested using: double click X X mc (instead of click d) which work a bit better but still not good. 30% of the time no item is selected. Is there a good way to do this "click" or to verify if the click succeded (if the item appeared in the buy list) without using ocr?

What I like to do is after I buy it I look to see if the items are in my pack using finditem.  If it is a stackable item and you might have some in your pack you can count the stack or you can count the amount of items prior to buying.
