Title: Making Money with Vendor House Guide
Post by: Outlaw Josey Wales on March 30, 2011, 10:09:17 AM
I ve been working on project for the past month.  I wanted to see if it was possible to build up a thriving vendor house that would make money.

I started on Great Lakes with just a imbued pvp suit and tokuno gate house and about 1 mill gold.  I then used this money to buy up regs, bottels and blank scrolls.  I worked up inscription and alcemy on my mage.  Then I started making spellbooks spider slayers, dragon slayers, gargoyle slayers, filled spellbooks, and supper slayers.  I was also making potions selling them in bottels by the 100.  When training alcemy i used c2s http://www.scriptuo.com/index.php?topic=1494.0;highlight=alchemy+trainer  this alowed me to make items that i could sell while training.  I also used marlboro mans
http://www.scriptuo.com/index.php?topic=5153.0;highlight=spellbook+filler
also used justanotherface http://www.scriptuo.com/index.php?topic=2370.0;highlight=spellbook  I used other scripts as well but i will not post the links to those as they are not intended to be public by the author.

Business was slow at first then it realy kicked off.  I made 7 mill in the first week.  I then took this money and bought cloth, raw fish and iron ingots.

I worked up tinkering, blacksmithing, cooking, and tailoring. I started a miner and used  http://www.easyuo.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=309701#309701 to build up ingots.  I then started colecting bods and filling them and turning them back in to get more bods I used one of paulonius scripts to fill thes bods wich i can t find the link to at this time. I also used http://www.scriptuo.com/index.php?topic=5495.0 to work tailoring. I sold the powder and sewing kits i got from this as well.

I finished these skills and started crafting apples, smoke bombs, and pirating supplies and added them to a vendor.  The more money i make i kept re investing in skills that would help me make more money.  So here it is month later I have made over 50 mill in one months time just selling basic craft made stuff.  Here is my list of prices i was charing for items.

Not sure about the other sites but I know SearchUO scan Tokuno for vendors so having a house there is a big help when running vendors. Even if you can only take one of the smaller plots to the SE or NW as long as its roadside it should be picked up, and you'll get occasional foot traffic too. Not to mention you'll live in the nicest surroundings :)

Another great "What I did" post, I love it! Good stuff man, and the coolest part is that you did it simply by using trade skills for just regular supplies. Although 50 mil in a month isn't a lot of UO gold, it's a pretty damn good haul considering that you didn't have to farm peerless or spawns for hours on end. Not too freaking shabby!

It would be fun to try doing the same thing starting from scratch on a shard to see how quickly you could do it again but with no million gold, house, and suit ;)

X

Thanks Josey!!  Glad you were able to use my script as one of your money making tools.  In return I only expect a modest 25% of the profit  ;) ;)

Seriously, thanks for the mention and glad it worked well for you!
