Do we know if they ever fixed the blessed bug?  Where items were coming out of the box unblessed?

Haha.. That's absolutely great!

May have to send that off to a couple friends...good one.

If you have GM Scribe on your caster toon, you don't have the -2 FC penalty.

So unless you are referring to something else causing the timing issue, you should be fine.

Player Templates / Re: Griefing Character
« on: November 22, 2010, 12:46:47 AM »
I've been toying with a template that is similar, and it's been playable, and even somewhat fun.

I have slightly less ninjitsu, and have Archery and Anatomy instead of Wrestle and Detect.   Pots/dog form/bandies helps for the survivability aspect. While the anatomy also helps the damage coming off my bow strikes.

All in all, it's a pretty nice setup. Never considered trying it with wrestling though. Usually when people see someone come out of hiding their first instinct is to get off screen to prepare for the fight. I like the range of the bow, but wrestle could be fun and have it's advantages also.

I think you have to wait 5 minutes before you can rez your bug at the trainers?? Not sure though.. JK JK JK..  :D

I'm guessing that you mean keeping him safe from the random mobs you recall on top of, and not the pk's that don't seem to exist anymore?

I just saw someone scripting right next to my house that had quite the setup to keep himself and his bug alive.  Similar to what jtw said above.  He had his bug along with a nightmare and an elemental slayer bow.

Now I would never use that much taming skill on a miner for one, not when a vollem is identical to a nightmare (exact same, other than you can't ride it).  When he recalled to the mountain, script told his mare to guard him, and it was picking off the random corpsers and reapers that periodically show up outside my place.  As well as the ore elementals that he was pulling off the mountain from using his garg pickaxe.  Coupled with the comp bow he was carrying...I think you get the picture. :)

All in all.  His bug never even got looked at cross eyed..

Script Debug / BOD Scanning trouble.
« on: November 19, 2010, 12:11:00 PM »
Hello folks,

After almost a year away from the game, I'm back, and have decided to continue work on a BODing script that I started a while ago.  This was/is the first legitimate script I ever decided to do, so please bear with me and my scotch tape skills.  I know I could use pieces and parts of other people's work to make this happen, but I want to do it myself.  Since my work previously was in euox, I'm going to finish this in that platform, and will worry about converting it over once it's completed.

I'm having trouble with part of my item scan.  I've figured out how to pull and set variables for the item type needed in the bod, and the total number needed to complete.  Yet, I am having a nightmare figuring out how to pull the amount of items that are already attached to it in the instance of a partially filled BOD.

I've looked at s7's filler to 'attempt' to see how he is doing it, and lemme tell you, that is way over my head currently. There must be a simple way for me to pull that variable?  Any suggestions?

Thanks for your time.

Haha!

I haven't laughed so hard all week!  Next house is definitely going to need to have wood floors.  Pure comedy.

Ugh..  I think that cheek set #2 just chewed a hole in my chair..

Never used to be afraid of heights, but nowadays you can't get me on a 6' ladder.  Just watching that tugged at the "I'm scared, and need to find a restroom...fast" string.

Some people are nuts.

Massacre-

Just wanted to stop in and apologize for getting a little snippy with ya.  After getting everything re-setup on my machine and reading your post a second time, I can see where you may have been attempting to point me in the direction you were.

Obviously I was completely pissed at the situation with my rig and the ol' buttons were easily pressed.  Can't stand when it doesn't run the way I want it to.

Anyhow, have a good day.   I'm heading back to banging my head against the desk, trying to finish this script o' mine.

I just did a search on the netsky virus and it is actually a worm/adware type program.  97% of the time it is gotten from someone looking for passwords to porn sites.

Not exactly sure what you are attempting to hint to here..  This most current string of virus's within the netsky family are email worms.  There are only about 3845732532570327573284 variants within that family of virus's.

Appreciate your positive and constructive help for the issue at hand.  Thumbs up for you!

***Thank you TM, your help is always very much appreciated Sir.***

Okay, took a couple days but it is up and working for me.

I somehow managed to pick up the lovely netsky virus so had to do some system cleaning.  Upside of the whole situation is ScriptUO is looking sweet as hell..  Excited to have it teach me some things..

Thanks everyone.
