Programming / Operating Systems / Re: Has anyone upgraded to Windows 8 yet?
« on: November 19, 2014, 06:37:34 AM »
Ok. I just made the plunge into a new system that Had Win8 included. I am using it. It has a BIG learning Curve. I mean BIG. But anyways I am running as Admin but can not get EasyUO to see my Client. Anyone run into this? Help?

I've had a similar issue with Win8.1 and curious if anyone has any help...Lost my big bad gaming machine due to a drop of water (literally a drop...one single freaking drop!) and since I'm not a builder or programer I'm pretty much stuck with whatever I can afford from Dell, this time some crappy little tower with just enough umph to run my household programs as well as 1 or 2 selected games so as to keep me from going completely insane and turning into some Facebook game junky like my wife. To add insult to injury, I had to go with the cheaper tower which had 8.1 since they're charging more for anything with 7 now.
After a lot of cussing and swearing, googling, trial and error, questions here and there, I was finally able to get UO to run, yay! Fired up Easy UO and hopped on my miner, my favorite script being Cyberpopes Mining radar. As I'm not to the level of script writing to combine all my scripts I have a total of 4 that I run..my beetle smelter, my blackrock dropper and my ingot/gem organizer along with the radar. The only one that will not work is the Mining Radar. It will run but I do not get the window with the mining "squares". Any Windows 8.1 experts who ran into this and were able to fix it due to their immense programing prowess?

Details:
Windows 8.1
Running most recent version of EasyUO compatible with current patch
Ran as Admin initially, everything but Radar works
Tried also compatibility mode for XP and 7
Ran above directly from the installed file as well as from the desktop shortcut (yeah, sounds dumb but was grasping at straws)

Help?

Stuffed Peppers.
Take the hottest peppers you can stand, hollow them out, fill with ground beef.  Sprinkle Cheese.  Wrap in bacon.  Cook until delicious.
...

My wife makes something similar, it was her take on poppers...she mixes cream cheese, shredded cheddar and some sort of salad dressing, ranch maybe? We've done 2 versions, dipped and fried with just the cheese stuffing and on the grill with those things that have holes to keep the peppers upright, half meat and topped off with cheese (we used chorizo or whatever it is). Both were quite tasty.

General UO Chat / Re: A good spot to farm fel tmaps

Only Chest maps are random, actual maps which drop from critters are bound to their facet. What I haven't tested is if when they reset they change facets? From what I've noticed, they stay the same facet just move locations but it's nothing I've actually tested. ("noticed" being the key word)

Miasma doesn't yield level 5 tmaps, the chests however are all randomized. I get quite a few 6 fels with my sampire when I get to farming them

Receipes / Re: Taqueria Burrito/Tacos?
« on: April 23, 2014, 01:12:55 PM »
I'm shuddering at the thought of a Chicago taco!  I'd certainly be open to trying one, but I've lived too close to the Mexcian border all my life.  :)  Anything I could come up with for you would probably hurt you going in *AND* coming out!  Muhahaha

There's actually a very large Mexican/Hispanic population in Chi town, think they said around 1.2 million one some news show. Not saying that it's the same as living by the border as I've only been to a border town in AZ once and I really dont remember anything I ate.
I always consider it a good sign when no one in back speaks English and the girl at the register barely does. And when the cook still has on his straw cowboy hat to go with his wife-beater t-shirt

Receipes / Taqueria Burrito/Tacos?
« on: April 23, 2014, 07:47:28 AM »
Curious of anyone out there has a good recipe clone of the meat you get in the burritos and tacos from the taqueria's? I live in the Chicago land area and am thinking specifically of what's around here but if anyone has anything to share I'd be interested. As much as I love my taco recipe, sometimes I wouldn't mind not opening that pouch of powder...(if anyone's interested...ground beef/chicken/turkey, packet of your favorite seasoning, 1-cup your favorite salsa, chicken broth instead of water...simmer away)

Script Debug / Re: Kal In Ex SOS Master problem
« on: July 06, 2013, 06:27:14 PM »
Figured it out. I noticed the 5 area too, sometimes it was normal and sometimes like that. However, apparently the problem was that I didnt remove all of the old files. I went through, deleted everything sos related, and downloaded again (I had downloaded it a couple times trying to fix this, just missed 2 files when I deleted).

Thanks both for your help, this was driving me nuts.

Regards

Script Debug / Kal In Ex SOS Master problem
« on: July 06, 2013, 03:05:40 PM »
Let me start by posting the obvious, this is not a problem with a script I wrote. I am however having an issue with it, posted on EasyUO a few days ago and havent seen any responses so I'm guessing it's either not a problem or something I can fix if I can find out what the hang up is. Here is my post/problem:

"Has anyone been having problems with this since the last patch? It will not read the SOS's for me now, popped all the bottles, opens the first SOS, does not relocate it to the corner like it used to, does not, mark a spot, comes back with the 'select region' message. I cant see that anything has changed other then maybe the color of the SOS itself. I've tried with just 1 SOS in the bag and no luck, tried different SOS's, no luck. Any suggestions? I have the latest download listed (dated 11.22.12) and even tried downloading again to see if I had inadvertently changed something. I'm on LS and have the Shard set as OSI. Windows7. Any suggestions or help?"

That about sums it up. Has anyone here been having issues with it? I really didnt see anything that had changed from the patch. If someone is aware of this and it's a simple fix, please hint me in the right direction. If it's a complicated fix, a little help.

The attached picture is as far as it goes, opens the SOS and stalls for a few seconds before asking me what region it belongs to.

Scripting Chat / Honor/scan journal help
« on: September 09, 2012, 09:16:28 AM »
And for my next simple question...
I'm trying to make a simple honor script which will scan the journal for the critter to spawn and honor it, mainly for my sampire in miasma.  I have an honor script which I've used in the past but it will honor anything that targets my toon and not necessarily the one I'm after, and occasionally this breaks the honor with the critter I'm fighting.
I've read the Journal scanning tutorial at http://wiki.easyuo.com/index.php?title=Tutorial:Journal_Scanning but it is not simplifying it enough for me. Is anyone aware of a very simple step by step explanation tutorial for something like this?

Thanks again

Treasure Hunting / Re: TMapper Redesign
« on: September 09, 2012, 08:31:36 AM »
Here's my T-hunters template which since I've made has been the best I've come across:

Eval Int 90
Focus 120
LP 100
Mage 120
Med 100
mining/cart 100 (I stone and swap)
Mysticism 90 (jewel up to 120)

Rising Colossus is a beast. Before Myst I used magery with disco and was able to do 1-2 6's in an hour depending on spawn (I killed everything unlike some who would just drag the tough critters away). Now I can easily go through 5-6 an hour, the only times I get slowed is when there's multiple AW's or GD's that spawn. I've also been able to solo 7's with this template though I find it a bit more time consuming, much like my previous magery on 6's and sending my never ending army of earth ele's after the dragons.
I use a full lrc suit, STR 128, INT 146 (including bonuses from gear on both).
I could probably drop the Focus, but as it is I rarely run low on mana even on the tough boxes which have me casting RC after RC after RC.

Scripting Chat / Gear monitor
« on: September 09, 2012, 07:40:24 AM »
Good day everyone

Is there a way to easily monitor the durability status of your gear? is it possible to, or has someone made something along the lines of a paper doll graphic with each ear slot having the 00/00 number in it?
With the costs of imbuing the perfect suit I'm trying to keep things from being 'damaged' while fighting, holding out to the last possible minute to repair. Unfortunately sometimes this happens while fighting because I forgot to check that one piece before I went out, or a different beast does more damage to a different item that I wasn't monitoring.
Anyway, if it's possible where would I start in making something like this, if there's not one already available?

Thanks

Scripting Chat / Re: Quick help with crafting menu
« on: August 16, 2012, 03:07:25 PM »
Just to update on what I ended up doing with my initial problem:

Code: [Select]
event macro 17 0
wait 1s
click 338 404
wait 1s
click 534 718
wait 240s

At first I tried using event macro 22 0 but for some reason it wouldn't remember the golem as the last target so, obviously, I switched to the click option. If I find myself needing a golem again i'll work some more on this and take a look at TrailMyx's subs.
I just wanted to say thanks again for the speedy responses!

Scripting Chat / Quick help with crafting menu
« on: August 15, 2012, 06:19:22 PM »
Probably wont get an answer quick enough tonight since I'm about out of time but for future. Could someone point me to where I can find how to select different options under crafting menus?
What I'm trying to do is simple enough, I have one toon beating away on a golem and a tinker standing by to repair it. So far I've managed to do pretty much nothing. I can get the tinker menu to open, I have my event macro to target last once I figure out how to select the repair. There will be some timers in there so it will wait for the golem repair timer and another to heal it up after a few minutes.
I'm not worried about doing anything fancy and by the time I figure this out (for those of you who remember me, I'm still about 3 steps below beginner. But I'm still trying!) I probably wont need it for what I want it for right now.
I did try to search the EUO for tinker gumps, repair gumps, crafting gumps..looked through some of the scripts I use to try to find something but it's still a bit confusing to me.
Thanks for any type of help again!

Love this. Took me a half a second to figure out how to set it up, learned it's best not to set it up while drinking (marked 7 or more trees per rune, got to rune 16 and realized I forgot to change the number of the rune).  Died about 20 times at the same spot before I decided to remark my runes.
Of course I do have questions. Is there a reason it doesn't chop at some trees? When I mark them I run to within 1 tile of the tree, add and it will chop (if it is too far or cant be chopped I remove that tree). When I run the script it will run to the spot and just stand there for a second or three before running to the next location without attempting to chop. I didn't see anyone else posting this problem so I'm guessing it's something I'm doing wrong, I just cant figure out what.
Even with my minor problem I still think this is probably the best LJ script I've had the honor to use.

Great job!
