Has anybody ever played this game?

My brother in law plays it and is trying to get me to play. The only thing that is keeping me from giving it a try is it has a real money economy.

It's free to play, but without depositing $50 to start, it's tough.

Whats a good template to do this?

General UO Chat / Free or Pay shards?

I've played very little pay shards, 1 month to be exact because I didn't want to retrain any characters.

But recently I've been debating on whether or not to move to a pay shard. I've been playing demise for a long time, but I feel that it may be lacking some of the features that pay shards have.

What are your thoughts on this?

If y'all are able to talk me into switching over, which pay shard should I play?

Whats up guys? Major UO addict here from LA.

I've used easyUO for a few years now, but was told about you guys recently.

I've been playing UO for about 6 years now, and honestly it's my all time favorite game. It's ruined me on other mmorpg's lol. I always compaire them to UO, and they fail miserably. I hope and pray that one day the client is redesigned to be more modern, but none the less ill be a due hard addict until they put me in the ground.

Im currently playing on a free share called demise. I played very little on the OSI shards. When I first saw my family playing this game, I thought it was stupid and they were just as stupid to play it. But I was home sick one day and started playing around on it a little, and the next thing I know is I'm playing all the damn time. everybody that I started off playing with doesn't play anymore, and I took about a 2 year break from the game. But I always had fond memories and I found myself looking at some videos on YouTube, and thought what the hell.

That's my spill!
