Don't work on osi, i'm trying with kraz and diego to make it able, but since both are runuo addicts i think it will take time.

Hello, it has nothing to do with being addicted to RunUO or even sponsored by them... we will add OSI support, however we already have a lot to do before that.

RC6 is coming soon with new commands, fixes and features.
There is also a custom map package download and loader going on, for shards using custom maps where players have no need to replace original EA files or keep different UO installations in order to play :)

Thanks for the updates here at SUO, Kraz!  Much appreciated since I don't get over to RunUO very often.

I'll put a link to this project up in out "Links" section.  The existing ones are probably pretty dusty and need to be pruned.

Kinda because of the encryption but thats not all.

Thing is, even using same protocol, OSI has updated packets we did not tested yet, not only updated protocol but even using the same protocol each emulator has it own way to handle things internally, and, sometimes, even their response is a little different, a few features of AUO need to be tested in all environments in order to provide you a working/stable behavior.

Bottom line is, we do not want to add OSI support without having the time to try it and fix minor issues that may appear, unfortunately time is really short as we are already working on a few stuff.

OSI support will come as soon as possible :)

I am currently running assist UO  at times.
Its been a bit hard to get it going its works fast,the layman need more documentation on its use to be able to set it up.
That the only thing that kept me using razor.
As for Free shards its great. Kudos to the programmers.
 Thank you.

Check Wyatts Packet Guide and Penultima, those seems to be working without issues.

We already managed the encryption support, I've tested a few features and it seems to work.
I cannot say it is really well tested, I do not play or have an OSI account myself but as a trial account it works fine.

It is probably going public soon, on RC7, stay tuned.
Next version will also include ingump command to search for a string in gump, elseif statement, mobile and item attributes will now be easier to lookup organized in groups (no need for EUO scripts to scan items) and fixes :)

As for documentation, our main website www.assistuo.com has commands and samples, keep in mind it is a flexible script language but still command based, we will post more macros on our Script Library as soon as we have time.

Make sure you've put the right login/port, also in case server requires encryption you must check this option.
PS: Build 2 released a few fixes and additions, update in case you already downloaded RC7.

after 20 - 30sc i come to the shard select screen (when encryption unchecked), then it freeze before character select

You dont need to uncheck remove encryption option from Client box.
I've spoken to a few players they could connect to that server without troubles, in case someone else is experiencing this let me know.

We will add support as soon as we get out from RC/Beta.

Ack, what I'm really asking about is availability of a C or C++ binding whereby the functionality of assistuo can be accessed by other tools via a dll that assistuo would load, either at startup or via new macro commands, something like

if not dllexists 'uobrains'
  loaddll 'uobrains' './subdirectory/externalagent.dll'
endif

if dllexists 'uobrains'
  if not isdllrunning 'uobrains'
    rundll 'uobrains' 'initiation string'
  endif
  while isdllrunning 'uobrains'
    processdllevents 'uobrains'
  end
  unloaddll 'uobrains'
endif

We won't support loading external dlls/plugins using AUO like that, on future maybe some sort of 3rd party software communication.

PS: as for what macros goes, we are planning on adding a simple import command for .txt so you can store rails, lists, among other data on a "Macros" folder and import lines to your macro using our macro language, but not C/C++ plugins.

So I'm running the latest build (v1.0.7 RC7 Build 2) on OSI shards and LOVING IT! I may finally walk away from UOAssist! I've used Razor in the past and it's just a pain in the butt most times. This runs soooo much smoother with much better, cleaner, easier, options!

Features I'm Loving So Far:

General Tab
Filters: I use Light, Music, Seasons, Weather, Veteran Rewards (same as Razor / UOA, though UOA doesn't have Light)
Linked Profiles: Can link same profile to multiple chars (combines best of Razor (profiles across many chars) and UOA (profile loads automatically for each char))

Options Tab
General Tab:
Remove spell field animations: Makes fields static (though not square tiles unfortunately) and wall into half-walls
Open Doors: Same as Razor
Bone Cutter: Haven't tried it yet, but if it works as smoothly as my EUO script, then that will ROCK! (just have to set a blade)
Combat Tab:
Spell Words: A must-have for me, though I haven't checked to see if it recognizes Mystic spells since Razor was lacking that
Health above people and creatures: Same as Razor
Flags above people and creatures: Have only seen it a little bit, but has great potential to be beneficial in PvP
Friends Tab:
Healing->Enabled->Self: Having mixed results (using OSI dex formula delay) where sometimes it attempts to re-bandage too soon. Perhaps it could be improved to look at buffbar instead of trying to do the formula? But if working fully, I won't have to worry about it in my Automator script!
Title Bar:
More flexibility than UOA in customizing, plus it uses icons of items like Razor!
Spell Grid:
Pardon my french, but this is *bleep* EPIC! I'm willing to risk a cursing warning from TM just to show how much I love this!!!! Yes it is that good! I use my numpad and G-keys (Logitech G15) for my main macros, so I always used to lay out my spells on the screen as if it were my numpad (in a nice little box) and in 3 sets of 3x2 grids for the G-keys. Now I can do it for any character SUPER QUICK and also not have to worry about accidentally closing my spells. I feel like my UO desktop is about to get much cleaner!

Hotkeys Tab
Super simple and quicker to drilldown through than Razor in my opinion.

Agents Tab
Autoloot Tab:
Another epic utility! I haven't gotten TOO much time to play around with it, but it opens the corpses SUPER quick and should allow me to loot in PvP much better! I love the option to Disable inside guards zone too!
Counter Tab:
Can use this to count just about anything you might carry on you (used to set up custom title bar)
Dress Tab:
Still getting used to this, but it combines weapon-equipping with armor-equipping. Still need to figure out how to do my weapon swaps with this, but I'll figure it out this evening!

I know that's a lot of comments, but basically it boils down to:
- Spell Grid!
- Autoloot!
- Linked profiles!
- Bandaging (when functioning properly)

UOMaddog thanks for your review.
Build 3 is coming soon with a few fixes and new commands.

I'm planning improvements for auto bands system as soon as I have time for this, also planning on moving Bone Cutter to a Cutter Agent and allow cutting a few more things.

Let me know in case you need assistance.

For EA shards I have the following:

[X] Remove Encryption
[_] Remove stamina check

[_] Automatically connection
[X] Encryption required

Shard: login.ultimaonline.com
Port: 7775

Works beautifully!

I know these are absurd, but I'd love to see this:
A "Spawning" tab with the following options:
- Bone Cutter (separate from a "cutting agent")
- Auto-attack (can choose Hostiles/Mobiles/etc) (can choose Closest/Next/etc) (can set delay)

Number 1.  You need to go to the new member introduction area and leave us a nice introduction.

Number 2.  How do you mean detectable? You also mentioned that razor is detectable? Who is detecting it?
Title: Re: AssistUO
Post by: Chrisok on March 21, 2013, 01:31:08 PM
I've already done my introduction, do i need to do another?
Secondly, i was under the impression that razor was something that could be detected as far as the way it injects into the client? If i am wrong , please explain. The reason for the question is that a freeshard i play on requires "Razor Only" But people do use EUO, wondering if this would be an alternative there as well.

Being a software and hardware engineer. All programs are detectable depending on how much effort the one wanting to do the detecting puts into it.

Thats true but i think it means the kind of detection by handling packets in this case.. I remember that Razor were sending a specific packet to get recognized.. There also exist a bunch of Runuo shards only allow Connection due Razor..

Those servers use the Feature Negotiator to do that, AssistUO implemented and respects the same protocol, meaning they cannot differ AUO from Razor by this way.

Kraz, saw the update for RC8 it looks like it will be great!

3 questions for you but you might not be able to answer one.

1) When i use stealth client with AssistUO, the looting still seems bugged, has anyone else had this problem?

2) I found a way to pull player bars through AssistUO and through stealth, the problem i've encountered is that the method i use in AssistUO and Stealth pull them through paperdolls, is there going to be a feature implemented in AUO to closer paperdolls, would it constitute as a gump?

3) UO Revelations, are you getting first hand look at that server and when is it suppose to launch?

Ok I figured it out.  Under the "Agents" tab there is a "counters" section where you specify various objects to keep track of & once you've done that they will then show up in the drop down menu in the title bar customization area.   I still have to track down why AUO seems to be crashing periodically when I try to load it.  It's going on 50/50 atm but seems to load fine the 2nd time (Running as admin too).

Title: Re: AssistUO
Post by: Alpha on April 12, 2013, 12:36:59 PM
Yea...   It does exactly the same thing for me actually.  It's right after you've clicked the "play" button & it's trying to load the client that it craps out for me.  It does seem to be every other time as well which is weird.  I've posted a few questions over at the RunUO site for Kraz to hopefully answer about some stuff.   I like AUO so far bc it seems to be smoother than razor ever was.   I always got annoyed when razor did the screen flash thing or had little hiccups that were just small pauses.

Actually if anyone here knows how to fix my problems here is the link to my question....

Yes, RC8 will bring MapUO, important fixes and additions as usual.

1. Stealth client with AssistUO? I honestly do not know about that in order to answer you, you should use ultima online official clients with AssistUO, I cannot answer for custom clients;
2. It is not possible to close that gump because AUO has no knowledge on it as far as I recall it is client-side, I'll check it later and give you a better answer in case I find something;
3. UO Revelation is a partner server for our Server Package feature that will be released soon, I'm not sure about when is it suppose to launch but a closed Beta already started.

@Alpha, already answered you there.

RC8 released, changelog: http://runuo.com/community/threads/april-14-2013.533234/

To Kraz - I am using it almost exclusively - it is great. I do have a few problems now and then with updating hit bars on pets etc but I love the software!

Thanks, someone reported having issues with health bar updates, it is an "OSI only" issue that I could not test yet.
I'll try to fix it for a RC8 build.

Has anyone came up with pvp oriented macros yet for AUO?

I've been using my standard macros I used with Razer, but until the party health bar issue on OSI is fixed I won't use AUO in PvP again.  They are aware of the issue & working on it though.  I do need to take a peek at the enemy assignment stuff so that I can make a 1 button macro to set nearest Red / Faction / Agressor etc as my last target, but I havne't tried to do it yet.  Other than that I really try to stay away from multi-action complex macros in PvP because typically if they break your screwed.   It's not often that a weaken gets interrupted but if It does happen though I guess AUO might handle such things differents.

Cast Weaken
Wait for Target
Target last Target

Sutff like this basically mimics Target Queueing but if the initial cast is interrupted you end up waiting on the "wait for target" timeout etc.

maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I'm still seeing the messed up status bar...

Hmm Im getting the messed up status bar using everything BUT AUO.  Actually I jusy Dl the most recent client...whatever # is after 7.0.30.2  I havent tried that one yet for just client.exe or Razor to see if it fixes the status bar issue.  Ill give AUO build 5 a whirl tonight and check out the OSI health bar fix.   It was really the only reason I was using Razor still.

Regarding messed status bar display, it is probably a UO patch issue.
I had the same problem after patching my old UO install, a few files got "badly" updated, instead of searching for a fix I just reinstalled, patched and it is fine.

The fix we released tonight is regarding the update of health bars that was not working properly on OSI.

From what i understand it's the successor of Razor. Has anyone tried it?

here's the link:
http://www.runuo.com/products/assistuo/
Yes it is a updated version of razor it has its ups and downs. The literature can be a bit weird theres a lot of different commands that do the same thing inevitably. It ties up some when trying to use it for casting rotations for pvm or pvp but normally clears itself with a little button mashing haha. My favorite feature is the filtering though you can add variables to commands to stop any system error messages and it filters a lot of in game server side messages cleaning up the play screen. Its agents need a little work you have to make a macro just to make a hot key for them, it has some advantages when writing scripts though.

You are probably missing our new version, release a few weeks ago... we already have Agents on Hotkeys tab.

Build 7 released:

Quote from: Changelog
+ Added:
- Consume smoke bomb, spell stone and healing stone hotkeys;
- Toggle Autoloot and Scavenger hotkeys;
- toggleautoloot and togglescavenger commands;
- Automated bandage "Friends List Only" target option;
- replay keyword for macros, shortcut for playmacro command using current macro name as parameter;
- Tab key can now be used as hotkey;
- Receiving a mortal strike should delay the application of bandages in a few seconds to avoid "missing" it.

+ Fixes:
- Item drag rejection dupe/ghost items;
- Healing Stone will be considered as a potion when used combined with "Check hands before potions" option;
- A few hotkeys commands for spell such as Nature's fury not working;
- Facet display issue on 3rd party map softwares such as UOCartographer;
- MapUO minor issue that could lead to a crash depending on screen size;
- Bug that could cause MapUO to display a grey background;
- setability command not cancelling the ability properly, same for spellgrid icons;
- Scavenger fix to Z level and added a "!" to its current/targeting item;
- Certain situations that could lead to ghost mobiles and items affecting targeting commands, for example.

Another thing is, we will provide much more functionality to our script language within the next releases, supporting local and global variables, functions, expressions, etc, of course that we will keep our commands that make everything easier to code, basically more flexibility and still compatible with our current commands and code structure/syntax.

Stay tuned!

It's just so cheering to see such effort go into this project when so many other programs (i.e. UOAM and countless others) have suffered from either neglect or outright abandonment.
Fantastic work folks. :)
