New member introductions / Re: Hello All

Atl is the most populated shard and has a ton of wonderful people that will be more than willing to help. Just look around New Haven or Luna and you should be able to find folks that would be more than happy helping a returner out. I don't play there much (as the ping from Asia is not too good) but have met some fine people who have helped me make a small foothold there. Good luck! And welcome back!

Nox is very strong at the moment, though with the changes they made to alchy and EP pots are a little more effective though not by much. Also as long as they allow stoneform to stack with protection mystics will continue to be a good choice. =)

I haven't pvped in a bit though so i might be wrong. Welcome back though.

Before the Hailstorm nerf/fix you could have soloed her with a necro mystic mage casting hailstorms through the walls in the rez area.

I've heard of sampires recently soloing her on the Japanese shards still though, from what I can gather it requires running out to the rez room to regroup a fair bit though.

Player Templates / Re: Need help with thrower template.

Personally I'd suggest not going the wraith thrower route if you plan to do any pvping with the char at all since being on foot really is a disadvantage.

To solo spawns comfortably with the ability to survive a pvp encounter I'd suggest a TBC. It's basically the old ABC archer with throwing instead of archery. It dishes out good damage and has good a survival rating.

But for anything else I'd favor the wraith thrower.

No problem Pirate Roberts. Always glad to be of help.

And 8 Ball. Yes its possible to get the keys with the thrower. It might take a little longer than with a sampire, but for those that are lazy to swamp chars like myself the thrower is more than capable of gathering the keys.

You don't really have to keep curse weapon up all the time. Just cast it when you need it. Travesty at least doesn't hit you every swing so there is some wriggle room. =) But yeah you heal primarily through curse weapon. Some people run with HLL on their weapons too to supplement the healing. I've tried that as well as HML and personally I prefer HML. But that is really all up to personal preference.

UO-Related Tutorials / Another Travesty Guide (Non-Tamer Solo)

First off I would like to thank everyone that has contributed to this forums for the help I've gotten over the years. Returning from a brief hiatus was made much easier thanks to you guys. And since I have no clue how to write a script, this is the only way I know of to repay you guys for everything. If you'd like I'll try to post more guides of the things we know how to do well, either solo or as a pair. Since playing in a semi-dead shard we have to do everything ourselves.  :-X

What you'll need

A Char with the following skills.

120 Throwing
120 Bushido
120 Tactics
100 Anatomy
110 Spirit Speak
40  Necromancy
50  Chivalry (80 with Jewels)
60  Swordsmanship (Or any skill that would add to the 300 Skill point reduction in mana for specials.)

At least Follower of Honor

100 DI
45 DCI
45 HCI
40 LMC
30 HLD (or as much as you can fit in) :)
70's Suit

Enough Stam and SSI to swing the Soul Glaive at 1.5 seconds or faster.

Be in protection and wraith form.

Refresh, Strength and Dexterity potions.

Tactics

1) After gathering the keys, enter her realm without your jewels and weapon on.
2) Honor her.
3) Make a loop around the room until she copies your char.
4) Return to the small area where you entered her realm and arm and put on your jewels.
5) Cast enemy of one and hit her with armor ignores and lightning strikes till she is low on life healing with curse weapon, she will teleport away and
    spawn some friends.
Honor self and engage her again leading her back to the small area. This should give you enough time to finish her off before her friends get to
    you.
6) Mop up her friends and loot.

This setup allows you to not only solo her in under 10 mins, but with momentum strike and some savvy with the trapdoors you can gather the keys very quickly too. I hope this helps some of you that wish to solo her as anything other than a tamer.

Thanks for the warm welcome. :) By the way are there any other sites you'd recommend me for information relating to the game in general? What to hunt and what not. No one seems to be awake on Formosa at the moment. Guess 3:43 AM is not the best time to look for help in Luna :P

Im on an OSI shard. Used to play on Balhae but am now on Formosa. As for who referred me I know her on Formosa as (insert name here). It's great to see that UO's community is still as friendly as ever! IMO its one of the hallmarks of UO really. :D At the moment I'm working on a tamer bard and a mule to hopefully someday make items for my other chars.... back to the BOD grind aye? :D

After experimenting with countless other MMO's I've finally decided to return to UO.
The Return to Britiannia promotion had a huge role to play in it too! =P
It has been a good 3 years since I last played and am excited to get into the mix of things again. Was wondering where I could go to get info and useful scripts and a friend pointed me to this site. So far from what I can see it seems like most of what I need can be found here! Whee! Yay YOU!

Best regards and happy hunting ya'll!
