Thankfully I work for myself, so my drive is from my bedroom to my work room which is more of a stumble from room to room.  When I actually have to go in for a contract visit, I go from 2 miles to Germany.  I much rather the stumble to my work room.  :)

45 Kilometres per route i drive daily. If i choose the train it takes ~1,5 Hours from House to company. If i choose to drive by car it depends on traffic and my route. Fuel-Burning Route with low traffic i need max 40 Minutes (with 180 km\h avg.) normal route ~ 1 Hour. High Traffic up to 4 hours..

since i can freely decide when to start and stop to work, i generally organize my timinings on low traffic times.

Crazy to see how some people thing driving on snow or ice is the same as a normal road. Then they wander why people get mad at them and won't help them out.

Yeah there is always someone who goes rushing around everyone like the conditions are perfect for driving. I remember driving in bad snow quite a while ago on the interstates and these 2 guys in a Subaru with all wheel drive was hauling like it was nothing. They were weaving in and out of traffic and tailgating like the roads were dry and it was a sunny day instead of snowing hard. I came up on them rolled in the ditch about 30 minutes after they had passed me. They were trying to flag people down but everyone was waving and honking and driving by. I didn't stop since they seemed physically fine but I did call 911 for them to report their accident and that they needed assistance. Karma can be a bitch!

like TM I stumble from the bedroom to the office room,  although sometimes just for fun I will walk to the local coffee shop and back (5mins round trip) to spice up the experience.

Looks like most of the people work at home or close to home i'd say that's a good reason why they can stay active on this site. Which i'm very thankful for.
