Scripting Chat / Checking for Bankbox (Sub)
« on: September 14, 2011, 05:04:41 AM »
Code: [Select]
; ###########################################
; ###       CHECKING FOR BANKBOX          ###
; ###########################################
sub check_for_bank
menu set status Checking for your Bankbox
event macro 3 0 bank
 wait 10
gosub TM_AdvJournalScan bank VALID_ADVANCE Bank_container
if #result = #true
   {
   menu set status Looks like you're at the bank.
    wait 10
   return
   }
gosub TM_TravelFromRunebook RE %bank_rune %bank_rune %bank_book
gosub reopen_bags
return

Problem:  If you are not at the bank, it spams the whisper 'Bank' over and over.   Stuck.

What it's suppose to do:
Whisper 'Bank' then if you see in the Journal that the bank opened ("Bank_container") Then it returns, opening bags preset in the menu.
If it does not open (by not seeing "Bank_container" in the journal, it is 'supposed' to move onto the Sub to Travel, then Reopen_bags... however it never gets there.

I've followed the script by manually moving it along.  It whispers 'Bank' then moves into TM's Journal Handler, then returns to the whisper 'Bank'.  NO IDEA why it's doing that.

haha, yeah that'll do it.  Making some modifications etc and then I'll get back to testing it out.  If I get it working smoothly I'll post it here if anybody wants it.

If I go the route for working this script out of the house, I'll re-write it in.  As it stands, it works at a bank.  Crafts a bag full of runebooks, checks them for Super-Slayers, bags them, Recalls to the Library... then won't open up the Gump from the NPC.  Then it'll recall back to the bank and repeat.

Everything except for the NPC works so far.  But I'll get it.

Code: [Select]
sub library
gosub TM_TravelFromRunebook RE 11 12 %runebookid
finditem %npc
set %lobjectid #findid
event macro 17 0
 wait 10
set %x #contposx + 40
set %y #contposy + 165
click %x %y ; Donate a Bag
set #ltargetid %dump_bag
while #targcurs <> 1
  event macro 22 0
 wait 10
set %x #contposx + 355
set %y #contposy + 340
click %x %y ; Donate ALL
 wait 10
gosub TM_TravelFromRunebook RE 4 5 %runebookid
gosub reopen_bags
return

I scratched the entire idea.  It was overly complicated and not necessary afterall.  The main issue was if the Secure was not open, they could not open their resources bag... since I never call for them to target the 'secure' or 'bank'.  It was just an attempt at a safety measure, but I'm not going to release this script to the public.  It's just my version of a Slayer book maker.

So I have a script that saves the id's of bags selected and opens them upon start up, so you don't have to select the bags each time you start to run the script.  However, if you are not near the bag, it errors...  So I'm trying to figure out a way to write

find %resource_bag C_
if %resource_bag (not found)
 gosub set_resource_bag

My problem is I'm not sure what to code for the (not found) part.  Suggestions?

(I'm going to blame this on lack of sleep...)

I suppose if we should talk about it, let me break it down (IMO Style).

I started playing UO in 1998 with 'The Second Age'.  This was an excellent expansion to the game (I watched a co-worker play from before this expansion), bringing into the game T2A.  I LOVED This area and spent a ton of time here.  Great way to expand the mass of the game without changing the playstyle, look and feel.

Renaissance came a few years later, bringing with it the split of Trammel and Felucca.  This was not a great idea IMO, not because of the 'Non-PvP Facet' but just duplicating the landmass.  If you want to make a Non-PvP facet, make a Non-PvP SHARD... don't blindly increase landmass for no reason, other then catering to one style of gameplay.

Third Dawn was a useless expansion, with a pointless 3D client that was poorly done and a waste of money, time and workload for employees.  In their effort to push this PoS they made the landmass Ilshenar only accessible if you used 3D.  I went there once during this expansion, and never used it again.  It hurt the eyes and was just an all around PoS attempt at competing with Everquest.

Lord Blackthorn's Revenge gave us the ability to go into Ilshenar with the 2D (or normal client) and changed the way character's were created.  I don't know if any of you remember the original character selection screen.

Age of Shadows changed the game forever, but they were changes I could handle.  Regardless, they released this with poor decision making and in turn made the game Gear-Based vs Character-Based.  PvP was crushed at this point and only the rich (or those with an abundance of time) could compete.  Paladins, Necromancers, House Customization were some of the best game additions UO ever had.  They kept roughly with the theme of the game and IMO House Customization was and is, without a doubt, the best thing in any MMO out on the market.  Major downfall of AoS Expansion:  Luna.  This was one of the larger error's that UO Staff had brought into the game.

Samurai Empire was the last straw for most of the players I knew.  To appease the oriental players (Japan, Korea etc) they released Ninja's and Samurai.  WHAT THE F.  What the HELL does that have to do with Ultima.  NOT A DAMN THING.  Tokuno was a waste of space.  Another expansion of land that barely gets use.  You get my position on this expansion, I can cuss about it all night long.  I hated this expansion and believe it was the end of the game of Ultima, and the beginning of Bullshit.

Mondain's Legacy brought about Elves.  This was (at the time) one of the most stupid decisions that the staff had ever made.  WHY ELVES?  Elves are very cliche and have nothing to do with Ultima Online.  Again, WHY ELVES!  There were 2 perfectly original races that UO could have chosen from with Gargoyles & Meers.   Meers would have been my ideal choice, being they are original to UO.

Stygian Abyss & High Sea's I did not really get to play and was not playing during the expansion release.  I had my fill of bullshit fed to me at this point and moved onto other MMO's.  However I think Gargoyles were a nice addition to the game and the makeover of Ships was due.

I'm not a fan of plugging a little bit of my code into others work and releasing it to be honest, but if I get around to writing it again, I'd consider posting it here with credit to Gonzo

I just marked 5 books with no issues what-so-ever.  Worked flawlessly, just need to add in my subs for buying runes so I can mark, mark & mark without having to stop to buy runes manually.

There is a script that I use, I had to up the LPC before the ocr to make it actually work relatively quickly though.

It JUST copies runebooks. You have to have runes in a bag and a full and empty runebook in your pack.

Gonzo's Runebook Copier

Cerveza... Thank you!  This is the Runebook copier I use to use.  I could not remember the name of it, and went through 3-4 different types before posting this thread.  I've always liked this one, and really hate that I did not keep ALL of my scripts from when I quit.  I had written a blank rune buying sub for personal use, will just have to write it again.

I have one that does all that with some bells on .... had it for years... not working at present due to me fluffing it up sometime ago.  Sadly its going to stay in my private stash... I believe their is a decent one that will copy a single book over on easy.

I remember being taunted with that private stash script back in 2008.
