Seems there have been some changes to casting spells on pets!

Cannot cast word of death on a pet. (Blue/No Guild = damage to pet).
Cannot cast word of death on a pet. (Green/Guilded = damage to pet).
Cannot cast word of death on a pet. (While riding pet using last target = damage to pet).

Am I missing something easy here?
It's been about ten years since I played last and am not finding the patch related to casting on pets.

I am not sure when it changed, probably a stealth change tbh. It affects the some of the bushido scripts as well I believe.

Any recommendations on what to train on instead?

I would setup a script to cast on my pet and then heal my pet.

What would you do for characters that do not have taming and use horses? Wod one shots em.

You can cast on yourself and heal yourself or cast on a guildmate tamer's pet and heal it. Dont have one of the arcane circle bonus though lol

I wound up using the guilded cu sihde as a target for two weavers. The cu gains resist spells and healing as well!

Set up on a couple toons. Using a Cu so there is no need to heal the pet, it gains in healing instead!
