First off the game seems to be breaking the edge on the techno field.  The game requires no program download or Installation. It uses the Unity3d Player. You download the player takes about 2 minutes and then install takes about 3 minutes. The whole game is played from your browser. The unity player is sort of like a flash frontend engine for 3D browser games. So you can play this game from any computer with about 1 meg fo ram better if you have around 3 meg of ram. Each time you leave a sector or travel to a new part of the game it loads you the new information which can take about 45 secs. The games graphics look really awesome for a 3D browser game.

The game is free to play.  If you wish to advance faster in the game they offer many ways (credit card, paypal, cell phone, etc.)to purchase cubits there form of money or gold if you remember from the original BSG series in the 70's and 80's.

Cubits allow you to purchase better ships, faster ships, bigger ships(up to a mini battlestar) and modificatiosn to your ships.

The game has 10 seperate game servers that you could possibly play on. It picks the best server for your connection for you.

Well to start it off it is Colonials vs Cylons(toasters)

Ships:

The humans have the option of Fighters, Escorts or Line Ships.

The fighters consist of (Viper Mk II, Rhino, Raptor, and Viper Mk VII)
Escorts consist of (Scythe, Maul, Glaive, and Halbred)
Line Ships consist of (Aesir, Jotunn, Vanir, and Gungnir)

The figthers are small 1 or 2 person attack craft, Escorts are just that they escort the larger ships and are great for fighting the smaller ships, and the Line ships are very large and slow but great for taking out escorts but are weak against fighters (because or them being a large target and very slow).

Well, I have been playing for a couple of weeks now and must say it is a very enjoyable flight game.
Skills are easy to train, ( simply clicking learn and it does even if your not online) and take x amount of time for each level. Training requires experience points which are gained by the usual NPC slaughter, mining for resources, pvp, and daily missions.

It is extremely doable for FREE, if you don't mind the grind. I have yet to spend a dime and am at level 19, w/ a 3/4 of the upgraded strike and just got an escort.

If anyone ever figures out how to friend people for the exra freebies, I'ld like to know.

IF YOU USE FIREFOX VERY IMPORTANT, actually any gecko based browser, you will need to disable JAVA or it will crash, due to some java script(not java script) error.

Most of you should know, that tosters(cylons) on most of the servers are outnumbered! So if you choose to play, come and join our faction(it has a great 10day xp bonus).
