needing a better than average wireless router

i am getting rid of U-Verse and getting Charter Spectrum so i will be going to need to but a wireless router. i read the post someone already posted in this page but when i look the router up on new egg it is bad ratings. the internet will be capable of 60mbps, that is as high as it gets here. will a normal 54 mb router be fine ?

What i have at home is a Gigabit wired router and then a wireless access point.  I don't like having my routers have wireless in them because of past issues i have had.  All in all between the router and the access point i paid $90.  However this works because i have hard lines in all my rooms and as such can add an access point to any room if i wanted or just have it hard wired to the computer.
