This is what i play now. Servers Suramar (HORDE) Doomhammer (alliance)
-
Aerie Peak for me. Also Cenarius. There's another I can't remember.
Going to start back up for a little bit after the new expansion.
-
I kind of wanted to test out WoW. The only guy I know that really plays it said I wasn't allowed in his vent though. Apparently, he didn't approve of me and a couple other people's "dirty talk" in our vent. lol
He is 46 though. Plus, there are children in his vent.

Etrigg here (not sure if I'm spelling that right). Account is dormant right now though.
-
I tried it for a few months and was like to much repetitive stuff and then precedid to try other things in game and its just to to to to much of a sheltered envirment !!
-
Anyone playing the new Cata? I have a char at lvl 82, 81 and the rest 80 and below.
-
Nope, still playing the old stuff. 6 hours into turning my account back on and I'm bored stiff. Yuck.

I quit about a week before Cata. No regrets yet.. I've heard mixed things.

I took my 74 to 76 and started a new char on Trollbane where he's sitting at 57. There have been a lot of small changes through all of the legacy areas that are cool, as well as changes to the quest engine and travel options (a lot more flight points, ability to get rides between longer distances while questing, completing some quests without having to go all the way back to the quest giver, etc) but nothing overly substantial for me yet, I haven't made it to 80 nevermind new content.
Unlike TM though I am having a bit of fun - or maybe it's obsession, I'm not sure if I really know the difference.

Dont think im going to start wow again it gets boring too fast. + Takes a lot of time. In uo u can play as much as u want and macro annoying parts (=. WoW it takes time to gather stuff for raids and then raids take a lot of time.
I rather play UO and LoL

I hate the fact that they removed all the portals from Dalaran. That's SOOOOO annoying.
Anyhow, I'm about to install my new GTX460 to boost the FPS a bit.
-
Yeah i hated them removing them. However they are set-up so you gain certain portals for the new areas as you gain in level in your home main city. I play Horde on Suramar (anyone can join me. I'm GM of a guild so if you want you can join) so i have portals to vashj'ir and deepholme in Org and there are portals at those locations to Org.
Let me know if anyone is interested in joining me. I'll help anyone out if they want to build a DK there also.

I just transferred my 85DK to Gnomerghan, horde side (Goblin) but right after I paid for the xfer, my account went down and my bank hit me with account fee's so I haven't been able to reactivate :(
However! Here are some vids I made of my old guild and I on Malorne.

I'm not even going to get past the 10 day trial I think. Boy, 8 days into it and I'm bored to tears...
-
funny, the monotony has been fine for me this time - nice and mindless. Although, I did start another mage on Trollbane and I'm remembering just how much training a "clothy" sucks! My Retro Palli was leveling SO much faster! Then I go and decide I need an Enchanter. WTF was I thinking? LOL.
BTW TM, my wife and I have been watching your avatar for the last 5 minutes and laughing our asses off. Something about the way he falls off the roof that is cracking us up.

My problem is finding something to do after 80th. I'm down to 2 quests that are just plain impossible to do solo.
Lol, my new avatar just cracks me up. I still can't see if he managed to hold onto the beer before the nutshot? Have to zoom in or something. rofl!

i am at 84 right now on my priest. Cloth is the hardest to level and sucks to get into a dungeon for DPS. But i have been enjoying the game and the new content they were able to add.
-
Least as priest you have the option of healing for faster queues.

Man, I hate playing my 80th level priest these days because of the constant /tell asking for healing support here and there.
Anyhow, I played their free 10 days and won't be going back for a while until I get completely desperate for something to do other than watch my SOS farmer circumnavigate the world by itself. heh.

I have always been a hater for WoW but picked it up again back at the begining of December and started playing with a bunch of local guys that also picked it back up. We all rolled new chars on Koralistaz (something like that) and I hit 85 probably 3 weeks ago now. Still have a few leveling up but most are there. Hopefully after we get everyone comfortable in the cata heroics we can start running 10 mans and such.
Level 85 Ret/Pro Paladin, Volitaire, Alliance

That's probably why I'm so bored with WoW. At some point it STOPS being fun at solo play since you'll never get the uber gear without being forced to play grouped. I've had too many bad group experiences. All my R/L friends are all Horde, so transferring to another server doesn't really help.
-
You can change factions now as well, of course I think they charge you some money. But I am pretty sure you can change factions through that now.
-
Yeah $30 per char.. server transfer not included.
-
Wow, that is ridiculous....nevermind...probably not an option lol.
-
Man, I just accepted a random guild invite for a level 13 guild and I can't believe all of the perks! I wish I accepted their invite back when I was a 10 lol. I'm liking the guild perks changes.

I love the guild perks.. but it really messes with guilds who are small, and want to remain small. They should have done it by age of guild rather than XP for guild gains (which doesn't come very quickly until 85)

This is exactly what I thought.. Way to screw over all the family/close friends only guilds and such.
-
I agree with that for sure. On the other hand, the guild perks aren't necessarily giving one guild an advantage over another in important ways but it does push people into "zerg-like" configurations just to get the extras. That seems shitty. There are 1000 people in this guild and I don't think anyone does anything together as part of a guild, it's straight-up just to get the perks. Kind of a sucky reason to be in a guild really and I fully intend to move on when I'm done leveling.
In all honesty, I would chose a tight-knit, small group of family and/or friends over guild perks any day. If I had friends to play with I would be in their guild instead. The only reason I will continue to play UO is because of that very same thing, there are two groups of UO friends that I like hanging out with and I miss talking and playing with them when I'm not getting in game for a while. I don't have that in WoW.
