Pet Broker?!?!

OK, I admit that neither ST or Myself have been ingame in a LONG time. Still paying for all of our accounts, just havent found the time or the inclination to log in for awhile now. Now I see that one of the things you can buy from UO is a pet broker...can somebody please tell me what thats all about? Is it actually a place/vendor where I can put tamed pets up for sale, or wtf??

Yes - in new magincia you can bid on a plot (one week rent) and sell (or buy) pets or commodities. You must have one of the upgrades they sell to run one but anybody can buy

Also the person buying the pets can see there stats and can even have the pet come off the vendor and walk around inside the pen and they can get a look at the animal for them selves to see if they like the stats and skills and also the colors or hues.

It's unfortunate you can't get the original stats from the pets.

Here's the example:

Greater Dragon, tamed with 117 resist. Tamer works up resist only a bit... now the Greater looks like it was tamed with 140 resist.

I frequent the vendors to obtain beetles for my characters.  That in itself makes those vendors worth it in my mind.  No longer do I have to ask for someone to go tame me a beetle.  Just head to Magincia buy the pet and it lands in my stable.

I have seen a few people use it for commodities but don't really know how successful that part is.  I myself would prefer to just setup my own vendor for commodities.

I rented a stall for a week and put a Red and Black Cu Sidhe on for 3M each.

Weeky vendor fees equaled 300,000 GP!

What an effin' rip off.

With those types of fees the system is doomed to fail; or at the very least not do as well.

There is a reason many of these stalls are empty.

Overall it's not a bad idea but the fees are outrageous.

I don't understand how poorly some things are implemented into the game.

The Team seems to be out of touch of with the game.
