Off Topic / Re: Questions about LASIK?
« on: September 12, 2008, 05:22:55 AM »
Good subject this... Ive been watching the whole Lasik thing on and off for a while now.. I'm waiting untill all the bugs are out of the system then ill do it...... I know 2 people who have had it done .. 1st one has had lots of issues basically taken over 1.5years to get right and still not perfect and she did her research and went to a good doctor.  Second person was all good after the blur period and no problems since.

On the price issue thow how much does the procedure cost roughtly... (I dont know if im a good candidate or not .. slightly bad eyes that have basiaclly never changed ... -1.5 and -1.75 no other issues)

did i say got it 15yyears ago in bellsouth i meant 15 years ago from pacbell then used it on some small provider then  bellsouth now on att... still probably one of the best modems out thier.. an Alcatel..

Anyways any off the shelf dsl modem should work .. att does not do dsl any different from any other provider thourhtout the world .. they dont make their own stuff they just stick thier sticker on someone elses modem.

I definatly would get my own if thier charging you a modem rental fee...  att even sells "thier" one at best buy

Thier is a way for reliable buying...  i wrote code that did it once...   heres a snippet from some of my code dont know if this was the very reliable one or not.. but its got to do with wait times.

     if #SHOPITEMTYPE = %BuySellItems && #SHOPITEMPRICE <= %BuySellMaxMinPrice
      {
       wait 3
       gosub gumpclick -55 -137 DMC ; D MC
       wait 2
       gosub gumpclick -55 -137 DMC ; D MC
       wait 2
       If #shopItemMax > %BuySellQuantity
         setShopItem #shopItemID %BuySellQuantity
       ELSE
         setShopItem #shopItemID #shopItemMax
      }

Sub Moveit  ; Timeout , Movetox , Movetoy, Movetoz
  Set !TimeOut ( #scnt  + %1 )
  Repeat
     event pathfind %2 %3 %4
     For !x 1 10
        gosub  Checkforwhatever  ; Warning changing values of %2-4 will affect movement
