Hello everybody!
My name is Phil (not the verb).
I started playing UO in 1998 and still think the greatest UO invention to this day is the runebook. Anyone else remember your bank boxes filled with runes and potions, before kegs? Oh, and lets not forget house keys. Heaven forbid if you lost it, or a thief stole it, cause there went your house!
I still remember my first house, a small, that I paid 250,000 gold for. I still remember countless hours of working skills and racing friends to GM. I still remember doing all this on 56K and a Pentium II computer. Look how far it's come.
I stopped playing around 2004 and went to WoW, which I enjoyed for about 5 years as well. However, the friends I had met pulled me back into UO last year and I've been enjoying "mild" mmo'ing ever since.
Until....
I met the high seas booster.
Once I purchased High Seas, I realized something...
There is no amount of sanity that can bring a man to manually fish for crabs without doing a dive bomb into a empty pool...
After working the fishing quests trying for the fabled fishing power scroll, I realized, I actually HAVE to fish up crabs.
I have literally fallen asleep while doing so.
This brings me here.
How? I googled "crab fishing script uo" and found C2's crab fishing script.
Why? Because there are no crab fishing scripts at EUO, which I currently use.
I am hoping to use C2's crab fishing script to preserve my sanity as well as my cats. Because Lord knows, I'll take him with me!

I logged into a character the other day that I never played with after the advent of the runebook. So there he was with his pack full of runes organized in such a way. In his bank was 2 backup packs in case I was PKed in the forest. Ah, good times.

Howdy Phil,
My first was a Commodore 64 as well. I remember sitting at my grandfather's house entering Basic code in line by line out of a Commodore 64 magazine for hours and hours on end just to then spend another day troubleshooting "Syntax Error: Line 90", "Syntax Error: Line 120" (remember always going in 10's not 1's?).

haha... a player after my own heart. I am 38 and started with the same games that you did. I hope that you find the crabber to your liking; it saved me hours and hours on end. I made it to spite EA's messed up system to torture people

A very good intro. You used a minimum of words but said alot !!! I like that. I wish everyone could do that with their intro instead of giving us all the one line wonders. Thank you for your intro and have a great day.

@ Trailmyx. Yes, I remember placing a house on Occlo (using books...cough), I remember stacks and stacks of potions and runes. Nightmares! However, we dealt with it.
@12timesover: My aunt bought a commodore 64 when I was 14. I went from Baseball to computers at that point. It was a good thing too, cause I really sucked at baseball. I remember writing sprite based games. Sigh.
@C2: Yes, you gave me crabs. Lots of crabs. Thank you. I believe I had spent around 8 million desperately buying them. Very awesome script. I can now watch a movie on one screen while crabbing, instead of falling asleep at the keyboard.
@Masscre: Absolutely love Serenity....not just for Summer Glau. :)
