Like most of you here, Ultima holds a special place in my heart.
It's like your first love, so many memories, good and bad.
Growing up together, through the patches and puberty :-*
It's hard to put into words what exactly UO is, its more than just a game.
I started back in '98 on Napa with two of my best friends.
We were addicted from the start.
We were noobs of course but those days were where we remember our fondest memories.
Mining near Bucc's Den and getting pked while dragging ore,
Fighting harpies in Cove and being scared to *bleep* of going further down,
Traveling all the way on foot to the Orc camp and getting destroyed by a orc mage,
Saving enough gold to afford a small house deed,
Then having a couple in game placing the house for us,
It goes on and on.
And now after more than ten years we have decided to make a run at it again.
We were shocked at all the new content, new skills, new races.
One of my friends had a good laugh when I told him they have gargoyles now.
We are looking forward to being noobs again and though we know it won't be the same as before,
Its good to be back.
